  2. ya I love the game, Only nitpicks I have with the game is that the game is very short compared to its siblings. SO3 I feel has the longest story and this version really can be completed within 20 hrs as long as you'r not trying to complete every side mission. The other thing I hate about it is mostly on the review(s) side of the game, A lot of complaints go towards the game when it actually has a mechanic to battle against said issue but just weren't utilized so they had a bad experience. For example there will be a couple of sections where you have to protect Anne during a fight, the only catch here is that ALL of the enemies will only focus on her and if she dies that's an automatic game over. Yes it feels very cheap cuz even the boss of the area will do the same thing and she gets melted within a few seconds of combat, However the reserve rush mechanic will battle against this as it would wipe out the whole enemy team in one move if used correctly. Last nitpick of the game is that you NEVER get to be able to control Relia, so the majority of the time she is just doing her own thing wandering what the hell she is even casting ( i think its buffs for your characters). The game may not be next gen in graphics but it totally fits the next gen material in other aspects. Constant 60 FPS with a team of 7 characters on the field plus enemies. when near the end of the game skills and magic are everywhere on your screen and I never really experienced frame rate issues during all that chaos. The crafting system is huge, full of capabilities that will give you an edge against the enemy and sometimes in certain cases will flat out almost make you god like. The roles in this game is the most important mechanics in the game as they will make your characters more powerful and increase there AI Intelligence; so they will actually do attacks/skills instead of just standing there wondering what to do when they're in the middle of the battle ( yes, this happens if you further decrease there intelligence). Of course the best roles in the game have requirements and they mostly need other specified skills to be a certain level to unlock. Just recently completed the post game dungeon (That only unlocks until the main story is completed) with all my characters being above lvl 230 and at least 3 characters having there ultimate weapons. Currently doing another run but on Chaos Difficulty; The enemies have 2x - HP/MP and 1.5x - Atk/Def/Etc... Overall I enjoy this game and I plan to 100% it.

  3. Yeah, most game worlds are absolutely filled with violent death looming around every corner. Even gorgeous worlds like Wind Waker have monsters just everywhere. And most of them are either a medieval setting, which means no plumbing, no basic hygiene, not much entertainment (although healthcare would vary widely based on potions and whatnot) or dystopian sci-fi (with its own forms of scarcity). Pokemon would be a pretty decent choice. It's based on the modern day, with internet and all, just with pokemon. On the other hand, while there don't appear to be any conventional weapons, so no fear of mass shootings or bombings per se, some pokemon have some awfully destructive attacks. Unleash a Hyper Beam or even a Surf in a crowded area and you'd have a lot of deaths on your hands, and there doesn't appear to be any kind of regulation. It must be very Wild West behind the scenes, with the "good guy with a gun" mentality being the default. Splatoon seems like it would be pretty good. There's some conflict, but not many individuals are involved in it, and no one actually dies. On the other hand, it's basically like the real world, so not much incentive to visit it.

  5. So the deadline has passed, and we received 2 new WIPs, one from Zyko and one from Bowlerhat that we're eager to see the next version of. If you're a remixer working on the album, go check them out in the project forum and give feedback! We also got a sweet update from Tuberz McGee and DusK will send his WIP on August 6th. If you didn't send in anything yet, consider August 6th your extended deadline New check-in deadline is September 18th, roughly 6 weeks from now. After that we have a final deadline on October 30th, any tracks not finished by that date will be cut. Good to see the activity so far people, keep it coming!

Does anyone remember the old space shooter from Sierra games from back in the late 80s? The first time I heard real music from a computer game was using a Roland MT-32 sound board with this game and was it ever amazing. The music is awesome. Here is a sample on an MT-32: Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-XLZbvFEhI&feature=related Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qm6spY_O9bM&feature=related I would LOVE to hear some remixes of its music from the brilliant remixers here.

  9. A symphonic EP combining the stories of Chrono Cross and Xenogears into one musical journey, Xeno Cross is now available to listen in its entirety on YouTube. There is over 30 minutes of music, and the album can be downloaded on Loudr.fm, iTunes, and Amazon. It's a follow-up to the Chrono Trigger album, Chrono Cinematica, and a final tribute to the music of Yasunori Mitsuda. Thanks for listening!
