  2. I'm planning on relaunching, I've rewritten the front end, backend, and migrated data to a more consistent format. We also have several songs ready for the launch scheduled in the late summer / early fall. I'll likely need technical help on the software side, finding such help has been difficult.

  3. Aw STAHP it haha! I would have YESsed the track originally if the low end hadn't been so borked. I didn't change anything about the track or collab in any way, I just put it through my normal final mix/master processes and it meets my production bar now, and it would do so sounding like this even if someone else had done it! So I think my YES vote counts. (If anyone disagrees, then fine, let it get five YES votes before passing!)

  5. i personally think the heavy distortion on the guitars and the overall hard rock sound right from pretty much the start don't go all that well with the theme. my first impulse really is that this level of intensity would work better at a later point in the arrangement, to top it off and raise it to another level. it all sounds quite good, make no mistake, but i think it's too much, too early, for this theme. i like the dynamic arrangement. it's quite lively. a lot of good stuff here. but i'd really prefer a more gradual buildup as sonic intensity (and distortion) goes, for this theme. i think 0:17+ could hit really hard somewhere in the 2:00+ area if you prefaced it with an earlier more acoustic, or just less distorted, version. the 15 sec intro is great, btw. but the field theme in full metal armor right after that.....it's over the top in a way that's thematically jarring, to me. maybe listen to some Gentle Giant or something for inspiration...to get some additional ideas on how to transmogrify the main theme without fully metallizing it right away. well, just an idea.

  6. Review: Solid, very clean. New bass parts work well. Nice prominent drumming. A few minor gripes: 0:46 the ride/hat there is very similar in velocity with each hit, feels mechanical. Also stands out a lot in the mix, you could just take a little of the brightness away with some EQ on the top end (but not a deal breaker for me). Double pedal is very clean and love to hear it. I'd change this to done, but I'd leave that up to you on making any changes with the hats/cymbols. Nice work.

  8. Love the vocal processing, especially the higher register stuff. Some of the recording is getting into ASMR-territory though - the word "luck" particularly sounds like you're about to lick my ear! A little too close for comfort there. The soundscape is well-crafted, and the beat is crisp and tight. I didn't hear the original, but it sounds like Kris has done a superb job with the mastering. No complaints there at all! Arrangement is pretty straightforward, I think in a perfect world I'd have liked a solo (I bloody love a solo), but there's a break/bridge from 1:59-2:21 in between a couple of choruses, and nothing feels repetitive. 9. It's sounding great! The soundscape is still very minimalist from an arrangement standpoint, but the mastering gives a lot more punch to the elements that are there, especially in the low frequencies. The vocal processing throughout the track is really fascinating, it reminds me a little of Porter Robinson at certain points. I found myself wanting this to arrangement really let loose and fly off the handle during the final chorus, but it's packing plenty of punch as it is. Great job on the resub! YES

  10. ? Not sure how I feel about you voting on a mix you mastered, Kris... But in any event, the issues I had with the previous version are absolutely fixed. It was just the soundscape, really, and now that's nicely rich and fills the spectrum. YES

  11. I love this track. It's full of little details and interesting timbres. The arrangement is well crafted. The lyrics speak to me and are well performed and effected. I mastered it and now it's perfect. What's not to love? YES
