Zero Punctuation (Hilarious) Game Reviews
The Mutericator replied to sephfire's topic in General Discussion
I'm with Penny Arcade on this - I don't understand why $10 or $15 or whatever it was is such a ridiculous price point. That's under $20 bucks, which is already an insanely good price for a game. -
Reserve Tank: VARIAtions (Need Mirror Infos)

Anyone who wanted the Doom 2 project got it weeks ago. -
I agree with this. Wind Waker was shit, pure and through. The cel-shading was all it had going for it, and the ONE TIME you get to fight everything after getting the Master Sword. Other than that, the game was slow, uninspired, and generally just a waste of time to go through (LOL Triforce Quest). Phantom Hourglass fixed the sailing, and for a handheld Zelda it's pretty damned amazing. Still, nothing can touch Majora's Mask (if you felt the time limit too strongly, that might be a personal problem).

Not only that, they have more reason to stay Engineer than other classes have reason to stay what they are. If you switch from Engineer, your stuff gets destroyed, so there's more reason to stay Engy. Someone needs to make this happen, STAT. I would honestly be happier if Sniper was removed entirely.

Reserve Tank: VARIAtions (Need Mirror Infos)

I still don't understand why someone can't just make a torrent first and send it out to everyone. Then again, I couldn't care less about the site or mirrors - all I'll be doing is going for the .torrent file and letting it run. -
Looking for a good Microphone...
The Mutericator replied to The Mutericator's topic in Music Composition & Production
Thanks all, I didn't expect this many replies! I'll be sure to check out all of the suggestions (I'm looking for USB mic's specifically, it only has to be mostway decent). Thanks again, all! -
I'm looking for something with decent recording quality (i.e. could talk into without huge amounts of background static) for speaking, maybe a little singing. I'm aiming for the $50-100 range, but I'm willing to go a little bit over if necessary. To be more specific, my friend and I are recording a CD where we talk back and forth and introduce songs and stuff, kinda like DJs but with fewer commercials and more verbally beating each other up. I have two questions: A) Is my price range realistic for my goal? and If so, what would you recommend?

Prayers for bLiNd (UPDATE: He's home)
The Mutericator replied to Jillian Aversa's topic in General Discussion
bLind, I can't let the man responsible for my fucking theme song down. Name what Suit you want Samus wearing (sans Zero Suit, sorry) and I'll do my best on it. -
You have to listen to this dubbing to believe it

Milky Way Wishes: A Kirby Super Star Tribute - History
The Mutericator replied to Arek the Absolute's topic in Projects
Arek, Kirby Superstar Ultra comes out late September (27th, I think). -
Me. I got to the prehistoric era and got bored out of my mind and stopped. Then again, it seems the only RPG's I can do anything with are portable ones - I couldn't finish FF5 or 6 until they hit the GBA, either.

Tidus' main ability even in FF10 was how ridiculously fast he is. Honestly, endgame Tidus can get three or more attacks in before anyone else in the battle even moves, so it really isn't out of character for him. I guarantee Cloud and Sephiroth are in it, it's a given at this stage in the FF7-whoring plan (and the first trailer had just those two, IIRC). Also I will forgive any other exclusion so long as they put Gilgamesh and his theme music in.

Zero Punctuation (Hilarious) Game Reviews

You obviously haven't been paying much attention. He loved Painkiller, CoD4, IIRC he liked Zak and Wiki, he liked Super Mario Galaxy despite (to him) its sameness, he was neutral on The World Ends With You, liked Chains of Olympus (despite, again, its sameness to previous incarnations), and loved the hell out of Psychonauts. -
Cliffy B calls MGS4 "passive entertainment"
The Mutericator replied to lazygecko's topic in General Discussion
He reacted that way because you sounded really, really defensive with your post challenging if anyone had played it. And yes, newsflash: for every game out there you love to death and get fanboyish about, there's a person who intelligently dislikes it. Same holds for vice-versa. Also without playing MGS4 and just watching a video of someone hurrying through, I noticed he had to stop almost every ten-fifteen seconds of gameplay to skip a cutscene, and only got about twenty-thirty seconds to actually play it before he hit another loading screen. That's just bad design. -

I think it's worth mentioning Metroid Prime and how the scan system worked like the Bioshock (and, originally, the System Shock) log system and how cutscenes were used to introduce new areas or on the rare occasion Ridley would appear.
