elfman only did the main theme to fable didnt he? and Soul Caliber 1+2 have great soundtracks. they dont focus too much on composition at all. thats the kind of stuff you'd love to hear an orchestra play. cool sounding stuff. viva la thread!

well most 2D games are the older ones. i dont see why there should be a difference in the music of 2D or 3D games if they were made in the same time period.

the only difference is that in the past, composers were limited by how much space could be allocated to sound and music. Even mitsuda talked about how he was constantly limited when composing the Chrono Cross soundtrack. with the technology now, there is a lot more freedom. you can have 100 sound tracks and full orchestra and all that good stuff. anyway, did i say Chrono Cross already? and Baten Kaitos and Star Ocean TtEoT (is that right?)

Chrono Cross is all time greatest and Baten Kaitos has possibly the most beautiful orchestral VG score ever composed. you can't go wrong with Mitsuda or Motoi Sakuraba.

congrats Analoq. i guess you spoke too soon huh? analoq - i was diggin this from the very beginning. really mellow. reminds me of some kind of slow spanish ballad or something. guitar sounds great and i love the synth that comes in at 1:22. smooth ending too. i definitely loved every sec of it. snooper - i liked the variation right off the bat. and then the effects and the slammin beat kick in. good mix of piano and strings. the breakdown was sweet. i wasnt really feelin the synth at 2:19 but thats about it. 2:36 was just pure awesome and the choir sounds were a nice touch. overall it was an enjoyable piece. nasenmann - i though the style of this one was kinda harsh for the source tune but it was still good. lots of crazy cool synth effects all over the place. percussion at 2:06 was pretty well done. phat beats and bass all around. good stuff. good job guys. all these pieces were great and prodution quality was amazing.

i wasnt sure where to post this but, hey could anyone make a magazine cover out of this pic (i know it's kinda wide but...) it should say something like "eat more rice" or "why minorities love rice" or "what you never knew about rice" you know, something a magazine cover would say if it featured this pic. you can come up with your own name for the "magazine" and you can add whatever else to the cover that you want to make it look legit but no profanities please. if anyone could do this for me i would greatly appreciate it. it's for my friend. thanks so much!

ok no arguing in the thread. DA, i dont think it would be a bad idea to have someone redo the track. they could keep the same style and basic arrangement if you want them too. and you could still give efields credit as a remixer.

as long as you have the corneria and venom theme in there, why should the rest of it matter?
