I meant in case of a legit reason such as shitty controls or horrible visuals. To my understanding and even in AVGN's recent Jaguar console/game reviews the DOOM port was very good, with the exception that it for whatever reason did not have music as the original along with many other ports did. You're not missing out much though as the PC version will always be better. Edit* I'm at work so I can't link to the actual vids just the trailers atm. But hey on topic... My only main concern about Wolfenstein (2009) is that it won't have some aspects of needing to be "stealthy" as RtCW did.

Yeah Quake II 64 was bad, however it had a few different maps on it and I didn't care so long as it provided a challenge. Plus I had the PC version already and was big on Quake II; Original Quake was fun but QII had been where it took off for me. I never had the jaguar nor knew any one that did so I can't tell you why people seem to ignore that port. EDIT* Here's some video on Wolfenstein 3D on the Jaguar, which surprises me that it had music where as the DOOM port did not...

Recently bought Wolfenstein 3D PSN port (nostalgia) and noticed the trailer it included a trailer for the new game coming out this August. will probably be the third, "true" FPS game on a console that I will get since Goldeneye and Quake II 64.I enjoyed when it first came out back in 01 and I'm hoping the experience for the next game will be just as awesome.

Zero Punctuation (Hilarious) Game Reviews
Schwaltzvald replied to sephfire's topic in General Discussion
Mind you I'm not a huge GTA kinda guy so if that's you're thing I'd say you'd buy it and would enjoy it thoroughly. Heck I'm the guy that likes masochistic challenges once in a while and that sure as hell not every body's fun... Check out a thread I made some time ago you'll see what I mean. -
Zero Punctuation (Hilarious) Game Reviews

Got a couple of good chuckles out of it. But as for the game he reviewed, sounds like a rental for me -

Mind you they arn't gonna shy away from you, they WILL FUCK YOU UP if you don't know what you're doing... Case in point, here's a vid wanting to show what a with the basic necromorph would be like. Mind you it's kinda difficult to die easily if you're just facing one and you're making an effort to live; but try being surrounded by quite a few of them coming from the vents, low on god damn ammo, red health and all you can do is stomp or swing your arms which they can easily block or deflect quickly and get a hit on you faster than you'd recover... and try it on hard mode... yeah....Another think I love best about deadspace is also the motherfucking

If they were actually zombies they wouldn't be as annoying to kill. Think "The Thing" decided to grow some major balls and started to come after you enmasse all the while you're on a ship for the most part nicknamed the "Event Horizon" even though it's listed as the Ishimura...

One thing Dead Space did absolutely perfect had to be inventory management as well as real time use of it. Everything else it did was pretty good and reminded me of past horror movies; I bet no one even remembers the 1999 movie

Touhou Roadshow: Intercross of Ball and Bullets
Schwaltzvald replied to Schwaltzvald's topic in General Discussion
I honestly didn't think I'd see this question for a good while as most who do not know it or care tend to be pure mac users From Wikipedia~ The Touhou Project (東方Project, Tōhō Purojekuto?), also known as Toho Project or Project Shrine Maiden, is a series of manic shooters made by Team Shanghai Alice whose sole member is Japanese game maker ZUN, who does all the graphics, music, and programming. [1] The Touhou Project began in 1996 with the release of the first game, Highly Responsive to Prayers, developed by the group Amusement Makers for the Japanese NEC PC-9801 series of computers. The next four Touhou games released between August 1997 and December 1998 also were released on the NEC PC-9801. The Touhou Project was inactive for the next three and half years until the first Microsoft Windows Touhou game, The Embodiment of Scarlet Devil, was released in August 2002 solely by ZUN after he split from Amusement Makers and started Team Shanghai Alice. As of August 2008, five more games in the main Touhou series have been produced by ZUN, along with two games made in conjunction with Twilight Frontier, and a spin-off by ZUN entitled Shoot the Bullet From the Touhou Wiki~ The Touhou Project is a series of 2D (with 3D background) vertically-scrolling danmaku shooting games made by Team Shanghai Alice, with two fighting game spinoffs co-produced with Tasogare Frontier. They are similar to regular shooting games, but focus more on weaving through complex patterns containing anywhere from dozens to hundreds of bullets. Every game in the Touhou series is set in the fantasy land of Gensokyo, and the series is known for its huge cast of characters, well-developed storylines, and related materials such as music CDs and fan-made comics. basically the main series is a bunch of games that are bullet hell type games with various other types of games usually done by fans or even "official" groups, (Touhou Soccer1/2, Defend the Library, Megamari ect) There are nine official games now on the Windows platform with a 10th one (Undefined Fantastic Object = UFO for short) coming out eventually... Not to mention the old PC-98 games... All the games from the series, from ZUN/doujin creators, are for the most part exclusively on the Windows Platform. For a blunt answer on if the games are available to mac users... look If you want examples from the titles here are some Immaterial and Missing Power gonna skip ahead as there are a few more Subterranean Animism and finally the demo for ; probably one of the few games I can think of atm that can have a brofist kill you. -
try --> http://www.blackviper.com/ Yes it's still up...

Touhou Roadshow: Intercross of Ball and Bullets

While it has human vs human mode I've yet to try online; however I'd imagine that it would have online capabilities... There's also which also has human vs human options but I think you'll need hamachi to play against one another online, unless the one that plays with ya is there as well via lanYou should give the main series a chance Phalanx, never know if you'll enjoy it. -
Not to mention that the Vampire Killer (whip) shouldn't exist until near the end of LoI's last few events. There's the Whip of Alchemy which had some effect but no where near as poweful as the famed VP.

moar like hundreds of remixes, ranging from classical, electronica to even as far as rap. Evening Star - by Godspeed Nuclear Fusion - by Twilight Symphony Judgement - by Memento Mori (makes me think of a Rocky Montage) Septette for an Undead Princess - by =NeutraL=のBRIGHTNESS (circle/album) This one even blew my mind when I realized this is a REMIX of a REMIX Marisa Stole the Precious Thing (first mix done by IOSYS, 2nd by S.S.H) The game TH: IoB&B uses songs redone by CrowsClaw and I think one other by Demetori. -
Good Question, once again I don't have a PSP so I can't give you a definitive answer for that one except for remapping the extra 2 shoulder buttons to one of the directional joysticks; Push left on the joystick for L2, pushing right for R2. Best I can think of. :L

This is yet another Link, probably a c-c-combobreaker this time..?
-
Considering their other PSOne games are under PSOne/PSP section yes. They allow both console and hand held gaming at a one time payment... The way I understood it, you had to download it on the PS3 before downloading it onto the PSP. However since I have no PSP, I only know that you can play downloaded PSone games on the PS3. Mind you make sure it says PSOne/PSP, as I almost made the mistake of paying for a PSP only title.

You posted just before the whole E3 2009 event, chances are it was accidentally bumped off the front page before any one really looked at the post. Also it would have been better if you posted this at the Workshop Section of the forums where they actually do some critiquing of remixes/wips ect. I also would like to add that it doesn't help that the info on that youtube link is in Russian(?) where as most here predominantly communicate in English; though I'd imagine there are some here who'd be able to read it just fine...

Assuming we'll see a progression of age on link, it may very well change from Young Adult Link's look as we know it to whatever Shiggy has in mind. As for the art posted here... Well... I don't really know what to say actually... Wow I guess..?

Fleamen were pretty bad in Lament of Innocence but only due to the camera messing up at times. Makes me glad there were no rippers in LoI...
-
More recent official art places the buster/arm cannon onto his left; I have the belief though they intended him to use it on both. Makes more sense to being able to switch to either gun when one hand is preoccupied...

Who the hell thinks of these titles anyways Well I didn't think I'd ever imagine seeing something like Gonna give this seemingly awesome little time killer a try with a friend. Heck after trying out "I wanna be the Shrine Maiden" it's a nice change of pace.

Left 4 Dead 2 - now $6.80 on Steam!
Schwaltzvald replied to The Damned's topic in General Discussion
I was speaking in general and I never said I was never going to buy it, heck I even said it earlier in the thread that I'd get it anyways As for the new maps I thought it was expected ; however I'm glad that match making will be better this time around. But hey give more details on the maps and stuff to get this thread at least on a better track now. Plus I'm at work so...
