  1. Ladies and gentlemen of the forums, I present to you... DRUNKTALES (NC meetup version) I randomly started playing the Ducktales theme, I think, cause we were talking about what we should all be jamming out to. Instead of playing the moon level like I planned, I played what I remembered, which was the main theme. It kinda snowballed into this, what with the remixers and alcohol and whatnot. We do, in fact, sound like twelve year olds screaming. Who-di-waht: Harmony: Lead vocals, one set backing, keydrums audio fidelity: Sexy-bass Level 99: Two runs of guitars, one set backing vox Everyone at the meetup at the time: crazy alcohol-induced yelling of "DUCKTALES *incomprehensible words*". Geoffrey Tacuer: played "drunk in the bathtub before 11 PM".
  2. Updated original post to reflect changes. Here's the skinny though: Friday, October 23rd, 2009, starting at around 7 PM. Read OP for more details. Thoughts?
  3. He said he was going to do some more tweaking when I talked to him last night. I'm assuming you're talking about the first work and not the second, lol. We should get some reference stuff out for the second as well, so that everyone can start working on their parts. You should have plenty of leftover alcohol to keep you happy for a while, you lush.
  4. Two of my favorite pictures from the meetup. It's not because of who's in them, it's because it's a perfect showcase of all he did: make a spectacle of himself. <3 Taucer
  5. ...yeah, apparently 7 pages of comments. That gave me a little "wtf" moment, too! Well, if the party's over there, at least I have nachos and queso...and some wine.

Edit: HEY! You have no right to talk. 57 friends? That beats me!

  6. F-you, Avaris. That'll be the last time I guilt you into collabing with me at the very last second! 1) Thanks for all the wonderful comments. I'm just glad I could be a part of something this grand and fantastic, the same way I felt about being on the FF4 project, yo! 2) I really love the divided feel of the project. Even though it has some of the same songs repeated on both discs, the different approaches really makes this project show the versatility that Mitsuda imbued his source tunes with, and the wide ranges of talent that the arrangers brought to the table. I'll be doing some write-ups this week when I get the time. I didn't love every track out the wazoo, but I did love most of them...out the wazoo.
  7. I just got in, safe and sound, and this meetup was a blast, as I expected. The people who I had already met...it's always awesome seeing you guys. And to those who I met yesterday, it was an absolute pleasure to meet you and hang out. Some very fun stuff should be posted soon from this meetup, haha. Also, please give Taucer some flak for passing out before 11 at his own meetup.
  8. I agree with this statement. Suplex the damn train!
  9. I thought that this goes without saying! Y'all better watch out, though: some live collabs coming up for OHC with a bunch of people, muahaha. The listening party, above all else, is definitely the icing on the cake. Please tell me someone saves the logs for it.
  10. In fact, just don't expect ANY projects at all until 2015. Or 2034. Y'know what...forget all the projects, I'm gonna go make my own site. with BLACKJACK and HOOKERS! From the preview tracks I've heard for this, though, this project will knock the pants right off of you whenever it is released.
  11. Your talk is much less cheap now that you have the WIP in for sure, but don't let it go to your head, lol. I would still refrain from letting you do the last track, simply because I now have some idea of what to do with it and who will get it. It's still listed as open for the moment, though.
  12. I see a copy of Sonar (6?) Studio edition! SONAR BROTHERS FOR LIFE! I can't be desk brothers, mine's from target. I am quite jealous of your setup, it looks so pretty and productivity-conducive.
  13. I like stalking you, Brad. It's a fun thing to do. BTW, are you gonna start pimping Windows 7 when it drops next week?

  14. Brad's just very blunt with his thoughts. It's why some of us have grown to love him. Don't take it too personally, he does it to everyone. In regards to your comments, each project is the realized vision of the director and the remixers involved, so no two will ever be the same, even if the same person is directing. Suggestions are never a bad thing, unless they're not well-thought-out. I do agree with Brad that, if one were seeking the right mindset for approaching albums, that you not judge one against another. They may all be from one site, but they are worlds until themselves. Some remixers do it for the love of the game, the love of the music, or the love of the challenge. And there has yet to be an album where SOMEONE hasn't had a gripe about something with it. There's no perfect album that's had no negative critiquing and feedback, because it's all a part of the music life-cycle. Sorry if I'm just repeating stuff that's already been said, but I felt like I should say something. Brad, feel free to punch me in the shoulder for this at MAG if I'm intruding on your territory, sir! Edit: Wow, didn't see how many projects you posted on til after I made this.
  15. "a circular centroid" wtf is a centroid and why does it sound sexy? Going to buy this now. You mean just that much to me, Brad. JUST that much. Give my best to Mrs. Burr, and keep pushing forward with your music.
  16. SOrry, I just conquered the world while you weren't looking. You've failed. Keep making good OHC entries, btw! In the near future, the time for the rise of the OHC cult will be at hand...and we will rule as bretheren. Or we could all just got get ice cream.

  17. I'm picking Harmony up between 9 and 10 tomorrow morning, and we'll be heading out from there. Got an iPod full of remixes, a PSP full of Nostalgia critic, a car full of music gear and junk for Taucer, and a brain ready to jam and have fun. Hey, HARMONY! "I'm gonna take your for a ride. Get in the damn car, man." Daytooooooonaaaaa. Let's go away!
  18. Well, if you had to be sleep-deprived, you were, at least productive. As always, thanks for the improvements. Also, may want to change the www.ocremix.org in your sig to reflect the redirect. Thanks again, Dave!
  19. I'm pretty sure that trainer running in your sig must be getting pretty tired. He's been doing nothing but running for days and days, while the sun never sets. It's like an episode of the friggin' twilight zone!

  20. What is it with you people and leaving up dead forum links in the OP?! SD3 did the same thing! How many dead forums do I need to register to? It took me, like, 10 minutes to realize the last activity was in September... of 2008. Heh, well, anyways, so should I just get a WIP to you Fishy personally or what? I've been trying and trying to get my ideas straight for the some of the other mixes that are supposed to come first (Rozovian, I swear I'm not just delaying it, I'm just musically brain-blocked on that song...ugh, crossing my fingers for some inspiration soon), but if I get work done on this, let me know what do to.
  21. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SALLUZ!!! Hope this next year brings you lots of luck and lots of fine honeys.

  22. Oh, but you forget that we also have the tracks, both complete and not. Watch your step, The Damned, or there just might be a little "accident" where a torrent file gets made. We wouldn't want any "accidents", would we? Heh heh heh heh... Oh, and Deia wants to know if you want your balls back. I can only assume she's talking about poke-balls of some sort (see what I did there?). What part of Canada are you from, anyway?
  23. Isn't that what you rubbed on me in IRC? It looks sexy now that I can see it. Sooner or later, I need to buy a new desk and revamp my work area. Anyone else have that problem of tripping over your own expensive-as-hell equipment because the area isn't really "organized" or "clean"?
  24. Oh, hello there! Your sprite-sombrero is quite awesome. ALl pixle s and wahtnott

  25. To have my guitar mistaken for Fishy's guitar skill is something I'd not mind any day! You'll just have to wait for the track Shaun and I did, though. I guess don't be betting your life on anything anytime soon? lol
