  1. Can you let us project peeps know? Also, I need to actually get off my butt and submit the Star of Tears mix. Someone bug me tonight.
  2. It's interesting to see where Malcos came from in terms of mixing. I have to say the opening made me laugh out loud. Sorry man, but I think you understand, but this one isn't staying in my library. It did make me smile though, and I'm glad you've improved as much as you have.
  3. Definately a very good song to chill to; I've had it repeating for the last 15 minutes or so, and it's been quite nice as background music. Drums are very fitting, although I wouldn't have thought so if I hadn't heard it. No big changes in the melody, but that's alright, it works nicely as is. Nice work.
  4. Definately some Latinlite going on, but I like it. It's a cute mix. Would have liked the first flute part to be sharper sounding like you hear just a bit later. Seemed a bit too legato at first. Again, I can't say much more than it's a cute little piece that's fun to listen to.
  5. Other people mentioned this being heard at a football game, and now I can't get that thought out of my head. Very epic and moving, for sure. I can't say I mind the old samples too much, because they work for what it is. Wouldn't hurt to hear an upgrade though. Nice work.
  6. Great collab on this. The feel of knowing it was recorded live really makes a difference in the emotions you feel from it. Much more intimate and lonely feeling (oxymoron?). Great work on this.
  7. I can't do much more than quote OA on this one. Not much in he way of interpretation on the melody, and aside from adding some drums and effects, the melody and harmony remains pretty similar to the original.
  8. Intro's a bit long for me. Maybe I'm just impatient though. Gotta say though, the brass is...not that great. Sound quality aside, overall they feel like they're lacking energy compared to the rest of the mix. Even having one line up an octave might have helped, or something. Overall, the bass line is cool, although it get's a bit stagnant after a while. Not really crazy about this one.
  9. This one holds up pretty decently in the sound department. The processing works for the style of the mix, and it has a good feel to it. Drums work quite well overall. Not much in the way of interpretation, but that was less of an issue back then. Nowadays I could see this still working with a bit more on the variation side. Nice work.
  10. I've never been crazy about this one. The flute is pretty shrill to me, and the vibrato isn't really helping the situation. I'm also just not big on the two themes together. I think it's a bigger situation of personal taste than the song itself, although age is showing a bit.
  11. More like he should take the old gameboy brick, chuck it at the thief, knock him out with that, and take back his DS.
  12. Can someone explain to me why a pogo stick can get past a shrink rayed (past tense?) tornado? It worked, thats all I care about, but...odd.
  13. Not really crazy for this one. Drums are crazy loud and the random hissing in the background are really bothering me. The melody itself is nice, although I'd like much more variation, maybe an original section somewhere. Not for me, sorry.
  14. The spacious feel in this piece really is pretty cool. This is definately one of the most interesting Mutagene pieces I've heard, and while it remains mostly atmospheric, I could see myself enjoying this one every so often. I feel like this deserves more reviews than it's gotten. It's not a diamond in the rough, but definately something shiny in the sand.
  15. The melody whore in me is saying that I can't really bring myself to like this. It has good stuff going on, some good variation, an overall interesting background. Problem is that it remains background. Not for me. EDIT: Oh, and tapeworms creep the heck out of me.
  16. Drums are really great, but boy does that background get repetitive. Some change up, a drop out, something, but having that play straight through is almost distracting after even a minute. Even having some volume shifts would have been a way to vary things. Creepy mix though, interesting in it's own right, though not something I'd be excited to listen to.
  17. I used to be a fan of this track, but sadly that has waned a bit lately. Something just doesn't click with me. The long tones just don't seem to fit exact with the melody here and there, I think that's what's throwing me off in the beginning of the track. The sounds haven't aged well, either, which doesn't help the situation. I like the idea of what's being presented, but the execution has lost its touch on me.
  18. The energy of the entire mix works really well with the melody. Live instruments are always a plus, so this one definately retains its quality after all these years. I'm a little dissapointed that the mix is basically two repetitions of the same thing, but I'm willing to overlook that as it is a good melody to listen to twice.
  19. Toys R Us is giving out a $15 gift card when you buy Scribblenauts on Tuesday. I'm all for that.
  20. The Blue Fields piece is from the piano collections, right? It's played very beautifully, but be aware that if you are thinking of submitting anything, it has to be your own rendition. Very nicely played though.
  21. This mix is awesome in how well it transforms the source. Perfect style change going on, and way to make a repetative (though catchy) source listenable, and even enjoyable. Still a fun listen.
  22. I love the more energetic section near the end. I have to say that easily became my favorite moment of the piece. Great combination of synthwork and orchestral, as Nutritious is so awesome at doing. The combo felt effortless here, which really stands out. Awesome work!
  23. Not a risky mix, but it doesn't need to be. This mix feels oddly comfortable, which suits the track perfectly and expands on the original soundtrack well. Love the variations, and the fact that each variation fits in with one another well. Quite a pretty song that I've enjoyed for a while.
  24. The chromatic line gets annoying after a while, but part of me thinks that this is intentional. If it weren't repeated so many times, I would have enjoyed it more, because it's an interesting take on a very circus-y song. Creative work here, and withstands time pretty well, but it gets annoying fast.
