  1. I don't not like it, but I can't really bring myself to like it either. It's got some good stuff going for it, but overall it kinda leaves me scratching my head. Not sure exactly what does it either, which makes it confusing. I could probably echo the other reviewers, but I'm not even sure if it's what they mentioned. I think some of it stems from the depressing quality of parts of the mix paired with the more uplifting melody. Dunno.
  2. Overall generally fake sounding, but it doesn't kill my ears. Drums are pretty nice, though the tom sounds isn't my favorite. I'm not crazy about the minimalist take overall, but it works for the theme. Not my favorite Gerudo mix, but it has it's charms, and it's worth having around.
  3. Sounds aren't great, but that doesn't bother me too much. Bass works nicely, like the drive of it. Flute is a good choice for lead, though I wish a little more had happened with it. Overall, the mix is a little short for me, I would have liked a little more development. Cute little mix worth a listen here and there.
  4. Not crazy about this overall. It's too repetative without much melody to really hold my attention. All that sticks out is the 'howling'. Can't say it's for me, sorry.
  5. Not what I was expecting at first, but I'm digging this. Sets up a good groove. Really like the offbeat feel of this. The main synth works well with the set up, even though you probably wouldn't hear it in a live setting. DJP mentions that guitars are good, but seeing some other stuff here and there really makes things stand out, I think this is true. A guitar could have covered this easy, but the synth makes it more memorable. Good work, definately a keeper.
  6. Someone needs to tell me if this game is about the pseudo-sport speedball, or if it's just using the name. Because I would laugh really hard if it was. The song starts out very strangely, but it intrigues me. Good way to grasp my attention. It keeps the unusual vibe, which I'm starting to like. Mutagene really sets a good soundscape, that's for sure. I wish that more had happened overall. It might be the lack of a clearly defined melody. The horns hit at it more than a few times, but I feel like they never break into 'melody' category. I could see this going to much bigger things than it did, but the soundfield is really well done.
  7. The main theme is really catchy. I'd keep the remix just for that, but the fact that it's pretty good is a really nice bonus. I could really imagine some cheesey 80's vocals to this (must resist urge). The synth solo really works well, I found that to be another highlight. Not crazy about the fade-out. It fits the style, but it comes to early, I think.
  8. Interesting soundchoices, and they work pretty well. I'm not too crazy about the melody synth choice; it feels too much like a cross between something that should be in the background and something in the foreground. Drums aren't my favorite either, though they suit the song. The other choices, including the saw, were pretty cool though. A short mix, but it gets its point across. Enjoyable.
  9. Nice quiet mix. I enjoyed listening to it with my eyes closed. Perfect time to review this song, as it is October, and there is quite a bit of orange outside. ^.^ Very suitable for the weather. Sadly, the ending isn't doing it for me. Would really like to hear a reworked ending on this. Otherwise it's a nice piece.
  10. I could probably get by singing in other languages (I have done songs in German, Latin, and French with chorus), but writing in them is entirely different. Pronounciation guides would be probably needed though.
  11. I'd be interested in helping after you get permission to do this. Prophet mentioned (thanks for the recommendation, btw), I do lyrics and female vocals. You can see some examples of my work on this site. If you want to see more in depth lyrics check out my site (the dragonavenger sig). Unfortunately, I don't do other languages. I'm curious to hear a sample of your work, as well. EDIT: Nevermind found youtube stuff.
  12. I'm not sure if I win or lose. Prophet owes me a To Good Friends from like two years ago, so he can't talk.
  13. I've been enjoying this mix for a while, despite not being too crazy of the Lunar SSSC overall (sorry Kizyr). Really calm, although I could easily picture a Disney movie where the girl finally accepts the guy's love and they dance the night away. It gives me warm fuzzies.
  14. A sneaky, yet epic feel? Preposterous! Really nice work, I found myself really into this track. Definately a keeper.
  15. Repetative, repetative, repetative. Not something I can listen to for the sake of listening to music, but something good for background music. Pretty much no change in the original melody, either. Nothing really bad about the track, but nothing new goes on either.
  16. Nothing crazy happening to the mix, but it holds true to the name in that effect. I'm not really wowed, but I'm not hating it either. Just a different take on an oft-remixed theme.
  17. Love the drumwork in this, really atmospheric. Not sure if I like the synth used for the first melody, but it's alright. Fade out is lame though, especially as it goes into a 'suspence' feel just as that's happening. Could have liked an entirely different ending, actually. Definately a very memorable track, and a nice take on both the original moon themes.
  18. Overall I'm not crazy about this mix. Having an entirely different intro can work, but this just feels like two seperate songs put together. I would have liked a tie-in between the two. I found the track repetative, which isn't a good thing for such a short mix. The guitar riffs are good, but done over and over and over. The lack of variation drags it down.
  19. A nice happy trance track. Not something you hear often, but a welcome change of pace. I couldn't stay focused for the entire track, which isn't necesarily a bad thing. It doesn't lend itself to be something I have to really listen to without doing anything else. Something great to exercise to, as mentioned above. Overall an enjoyable track.
  20. Eighties indeed. Nothing wrong with that though. Really great soloing throughout. Enjoyed this one, good job.
  21. Another mix that's been in my library for a while. Definately a big step away from the melody, I like what's been done to it. Still recognizable, though almost vaguely. Beat gets a little repetative, would have liked more variation. Overall, for how old the mix is, still a good listen.
  22. I got that with speakers. Whoa, kinda dizzy. A fun mix, but I'm not crazy about the different sections overall. Needs to be more fluid, or expand just one section and go from there. Unfortunately the beginning is messiest, which sets up a not so great first impression. I would clean that up if possible. Despite all the criticism, it's still a fun mix to listen to, and I enjoyed it. Kudos.
