  1. Apparently mouse clicks aren't good in recordings. Especially when you submit them, and Larry points them out...and laughs at you.
  2. Definately very coverish, kind of surprising that it's here at all. I still enjoyed listening to it, but aside from the drums I couldn't hear anything original. Sounds are aged, especially the snare sample. Not my favorite, but not the worst thing I've heard either.
  3. I wasn't expecting this to be so happy, but it's awesome. Definately very cute, and enjoyable. The lower-quality of the sounds fits the mix, so they don't bother me too much, although I wouldn't be opposed to hearing a higher quality, either. Very catchy, nice job.
  4. Very atmospheric. Entirely too short. Like this review.
  5. Seems a lot longer than 2:11 to me. A bit too repetative for my tastes, combined with not really enough going on. I can't say I'm crazy about it personally.
  6. This is complicated and cute at the same time. I really enjoyed listening to it, despite not wanting snow anytime soon. Some of the offbeat sections were a bit strange, I had to go back and listen to them again, but I was more comfortable with them then. This one's really nice, more people should take a listen.
  7. Definately an awesome direction to take this song. Really intense, apt name for the mix. Definately quite enjoyable. Great job.
  8. A very pretty and relaxing mix. I agree with DJP, definately could hear this playing while I'm sitting in front of a fire with some hot cocoa. Wonderful job, I really enjoyed it.
  9. DEFINATLY a "Wake up on Christmas day and see what presents you have" mix. Total fun, more people need to check this one out and review it.
  10. The sound quality doesn't bother me that much, but perhaps I was preparing for the worst reading the other reviews. It's certainly not great, but it's not that bad that it really detriments my enjoyment of the mix. Nice composition, and I enjoyed listening to it. Soem parts felt a little slow, with only the melody over the bass, but the parts that had more going on were nice.
  11. Yea, checked to make sure. Still not letting me in. Where'd you post it, anyways? I'm not seeing a new post anywhere. Mayhaps that's why I can't see it?
  12. Red Brinstar is one of my favorite Metriod, and in fact videogame, tracks ever. Ekaj really does add some nice personalization (mentioned in the write-up), which lets the track maintain the same vibe of the original, but give it a new flavor. The bassline flows nicely, a nice contrast to the shorter melody played on top. I'm not totally crazy over the stutterish synth used at 1:47, but it's alright. It doesn't detract from me enjoying the mix overall. Nice use of the Metroid cry throughout, that was a nice touch. Good work, nice debut!
  13. Too close to the original. That being said, I still like it. I agree with DJP in the write-up about the bass. When it comes in it's nice, but why doesn't it come back? A shame. Honestly I can't say there's enough going on here for me to stay interested, but it's short and sweet and still a good melody.
  14. Not really my cup of tea. Brass hits are...bad. Melody is repetative and grating, and I couldn't keep focus. From the sounds of it the original is to blame, but I can't say I'm going to keep this. Sorry.
  15. I'm not crazy about the explosions. A little to cheesy for my tastes. Drums are pretty sweet, and the bassline is nice, although it needs a change-up somewhere. Sounds are not to great otherwise, sorry to say. Feels overall a bit repetative. The original stuff that comes in somewhere nearish to the end was a nice change, I would like liked more of that earlier on. Decent mix after all these years, but not my favorite Heatman mix out there.
  16. Overall needs something else to really fill in the track. Quirky track, but it doesn't grab my attention overall. Some of these reviews are pretty amusing, though.
  17. The source is my favorite DW theme by far, and this arrangement is absolutely fantastic. I would die to hear a live version of it someday. Simply amazing, love it.
  18. While the sound quality is lacking, the arrangment itself is pretty decent. I found the beginning to be my favorite part, starting soft and nice and jumping into the piece. The added inn ending is a bit too strange for me. Having a complete fade-out, then tack that on; it's a bit strange. Overall, nice work.
  19. Definately one of my favorite Cross songs (I have a lot of favorites on this soundtrack ). Nice adaption of the source, it works well in trance. Nice unique style, I enjoyed listening to it. Short review, I'm tired :/ Mix is good, though!
  20. Love the opening. I wish that bubbliness had stayed throughout the rest of the song. The pizz strings were wonderfully done, definatly a resource that should have been used more. I'm pretty much quoting OA, but once the intro faded, things start to get a little forgetable. It's a nice melody, and nicely done, but the rest of the song doesn't stick out like the intro does. Definately a keeper for me, overall, nice work.
  21. I was expecting a lot more from the mix judging by the title. It seems pretty standard fare, and I'm not terribly impressed. Nothing really stands out in the mix, and I found it hard to really pay attention throughout. There isn't anything wrong with it either, it's just a bit too cliche for my tastes. The ending is pretty, and and overall its still a nice mix, just not adventurous.
