Definately a grooving piece, nice work there. Lot's of points I liked on it, and I liked how the source was converted. ~2:50 with the change in bass is one of the parts I enjoyed. A subtle change, but it worked well. The dropout to just piano was jarring, and I think the biggest reason for me is because the tempo is lost. If the piano had kept up to speed I think it wouldn't have felt as awkward as it did. It still made a good transition back, but there were a few sketchy moments. Still a good first remix, hope to hear more from PR.

I enjoy this mix, but I feel like there's something missing in it somehow. It feels at points that it's missing the melody that, while not really supposed to be there anyways, feels like it's lacking. 1:55~2:15 is an example of this. It's supposed to be a lead back into the melody, but it just feels like it's part of the song without the melody put into it yet. Also, I'm not crazy about the lead instrument choice at around 3:20. The bass is awesome, and I like the use of strings, they really create a nice tension in the piece. Not my favorite Ocean Palace mix, but enjoyable and worth listening to more than once.

I can promise you that it would have ended up in the pool. You made a wise choice in moving it. Also, I have now perfected my OCRHug on DrumUltima. Expect it more often.

Wow, this is great. Honestly, I am jealous, as I've been wanted to do something with this track. I could never do something like this though, it's really creepy and awesome. Love the harmonies, Jill, they really add to the atmosphere. Awesome stuff.

I'm pretty sure Kroze mentioned to me that he was going to be taping when I met him at Connecticon (which OCR should attend and do a panel there sometime). It was a long weekend though, so don't quote me on that.

I might nab all the GBA games, if you don't get better offers. I'll negotiate prices with you if no one else steps up/comes through.

I'm definately going to try to do something this time around, but I'm starting a new position as well as moving to a new school (the high school is new, so the middle school is moving to the old high school, etc), so things are going to be tough. It's definately a nice track though.

My Lucca cosplay is FINISHED! WHOOO Also, BBQ sounds great. I can do either, but Sunday sounds like it'll be more fun.

I'm really dissapointed I didn't get to enter, but at this point I'm not even sure if I'll finish the rest of the cosplay, never mind a weapon, for Connecticon (this weekend). Good luck to all the entrants, and I'll try to get a vote in tomorrow (when I'm not sewing/gluing/painting/swearing).

I am a definate *hooray* Really hoping I get my Lucca cosplay done this week for Connecticon. Having major trouble with the boots and helmet, and haven't even started thinking about the weapon. Oy. I will definately be there all day Saturday, but I might go either Sunday or Friday night. I plan to drive from CT to my brothers house (just outside D.C) Friday morning, so, depending on how pooped I am from the drive, as well as what events are on Friday, I'll see when I'm going.

Decent week, but I know the next two are going to be hectic at best. I'm attending two conventions, including driving to Virginia. However, I will be cosplaying, so I'll sweat off a few pounds, if nothing else :/

Chiming in late on this, but Pezman's mention of Icybrian brought back so many memories. I think I might have read nearly all the finished fanfics that were on that site at one time... That being said, I will agree with most everyone else here. Finding GOOD fanfics is decidedly difficult, and the time it takes to finally get one makes it almost not worth it. I can say that I've found some that were good enough to be novels, including one that someone actually plans to change characters and publish as a novel. However, that fanfic was one of those 'alternate universe' stories that actually had nothing to do with the series but used characters and their personalities to a T. As a budding fangirl, I do remember writing my own horrid Pokemon fanfic (I think I wrote about 35 pages...handwrote), but that's either in the garbage or somewhere where it will never see the light of day again. I knew it was awful, even then. Also, I do have an idea for a fanfic that I have wanted to write based on FF8, but I'm nearly certain that I never will write it (I'm bad enough not writing the fantasy book that I want to one day publish).

Checking in for last week. Good week at that. When I didn't bike, I walked, so every day I did at least something. This morning was a different matter, but I'm hoping to get on the treadmill later today.

Won't comment on being late again...oh wait I just did. Last week was alright. I wasn't able to bike the last three days due to having to travel to the high school after finising the first half of my job. I'm hoping that on any days that occurs in the future I will get up a little earlier to walk on the treadmill. Saturday was a family picnic, and I played a lot of badmiton. It's surprisingly tiring, and I was sadly pretty sore the next couple of days. I should take up tennis or something.

bLiNd needs to get better. I'm not giving an option. You're in my thoughts, man.
