I think it's cool that vgmusic is making its way into band, but what worries me is that, to be honest, there are so many more educational things that could be done with students. At the same time, it could bring people into music from games...I don't know how I feel about this in general, really. I wonder how much profit Video Games Live is making off of each copy sold.

Found This as we were searching for band music to pick for the upcoming concerts. Real Audio Clip of it Here. Search up "video games". There's also a Halo Suite and Bounty Hunter (from Advent Rising). I don't know what to think. Anyone else see this? What do other people think?

...never celebrating my birthday again... Yesterday was tame compared to other birthdays I've had. When I was 16 I had pneumonia, and when I was 21 I had class all day (literally 8am-9pm) and was too tired to drink or anything (especially as I had to get up at 6:30 the next day). So yesterday was nice, actually. Lol.

I get a thread! Yay! Thanks everyone! Although my birthday consisted of working at two jobs (including getting grades ready to submit), Sunday I get to go out to a nice dinner with family. Hope Pongball had a great day!

Sorry to say, but this one really didn't do it for me. I felt like it had intensity, but not enough to me. I don't really know why, but I can't really say I'm impressed.

I'm not comfortable about giving out my real name. That's why pseudonyms are great. Deia is such a more awesome name than my real one, anyways. Although apparently someone removed my name without my knowing. Interesting.

Since I somewhat avoided the other project tracks (in order to experiance it at release myself as well), I'm ready to weigh in my opinions. Overall, the vibe of the entire album really sets a nice tone. I've found it strange when OCR project don't have an overall theme, and ToF showed me the force of having such a connecting factor. Now, tracks. Days of Summer V2 - LOVE the violin work on this, especially when it's throwing the countermelodies in. The guitar work is really nice too. Theives of Fate - I'm jealous of DU's lyrics, what can I say. It's not fair! I will admit, with no offense to Proph, that I liked DU's voice better on this. I liked it when it was rougher, which Brad's polished voice obviously doesn't have. Regardless, still quite a good performance on all mixers parts. Fury and Tears - Really, out of all OA's tracks (which I give him such kudos for picking up all the spares out there), this is the one I disliked the most. A tough song to work with, so I can't really blame him. Starbright - Saxophone Octet. Amazing. Only gripe is the tuning that you couldn't fix because your computor got stolen. So I can't really gripe. Lonliness - OA, again doing a nice job. This one really does feel like 'lonliness' with the opening of solo guitar. I was a fan of this track. I like when the track picks up, as well. Sexy Boy - This one I really had not heard at all before release, and I was surprised by it. A good track, and really well-produced, but it felt a little out of place with the rest of the tracks. Thrash's Snakebone Pit - I know how hard OA worked on this one, and I can really appreciate that. Really hard track to work with, and Andrew did a great job. Scar Sealing Girl - Love the piano on this, and the overall vibe. I love chilling to this one. Requiem for Another World - I could go on and on about this track, but I'll keep my thoughts on this short. The lyrics aren't really written to fit the track as well as they could. Regardless, I worked hard on this and am proud of what I have here. Perhaps someday I'll relook at it. LOVED working with Retlaf and Avaris on this! Fuego Frio - Waltz fits this track so well. I was really pleasantly surprised by this one. Go accordian. Hallucinogenic - A great atmospheric piece. Nothing more I can say about it. The whispering kinda creeps me out. Confronto Finale - Love the driving feeling of this. It doesn't lose intensity, which I liked most about it. Maybe a little repetative. Summer's Dream - DU, did I ever tell you I love solo marimba? Love this track. Le Tressor Interdit - Really good saxwork on this, and I'm glad I got to be a small part of it. Eventually I'm going to record my own lyric interpretation to this song. Overall I was really pleased with this album as a whole, and I think everyone did a great job on it.

That was crazily awesome! I loved everything about it, including the 'voice-over' which I'm normally not a fan of. Just perfect. EDIT: Hee hee, stray children.

I don't think anyone's mentioned Excitebike yet, but all my other suggestions were already mentioned. Although, if you have a powerpad, you should totally pull that out.

I must say, Pixie and Starla have you all OWNED on beards there.

I find this interesting, because I have lyrics written for At the Bottom of Night myself, and I went into a completely different direction lyrically (I think, it's kinda hard for me to make out the words). Could you post your lyrics? It makes things easier for me. I'm planning on getting a jazz combo (live or otherwise) for my background, so go power ballad! (Just kidding, do what you want, of course) You've got a good start with this, though you do have some ways to go. There are some spots that need work with the vocals. The beginning comes to mind because it's a sudden entrance, and as Minyobi said, you really can't make out what you're saying since it's so low. Aside from the fine tuning, I think you have a good voice and you can decently pull this off. Keep working on it.

^Awful joke, really. Don't know the source, so this is just coming at me disco-style. Whether or not that's a good thing, I'm not sure Catchy tune, something to tap your foot too. Nothing really sticks out as being awesome, but for the age of this, I would have digged it when it originally came out.

It's hard to say it better than that. I very vaguely remember the source, but I'm trusting OA's opinion on this, and my vague recollection. This really adds to the original, in such a good way. Awesome.

Too repetative for my taste. More change-up sooner would have done this a world of good. The percussion carries the piece, most certainly. The extra stuff really catches your attention, though I wish it had just been something extra to bring me in rather than the only thing. The sounds didn't bother me that much, but I wouldn't mind an update, ceratinly. Overall a kinda fun piece.

The source is amazing, so it's no surprise how many remixes there are of it. This one is certainly not my favorite, but it has some good qualities. It's certainly driving right from the start, in an 'in your face' way, so it sets up it's own feel right from the start. It's also a basic techno approach, which while conservative, isn't bad. The lack of doing...really anything new to the melody hurts this the most, IMO. It's really a straight techno cover, which causes a loss of interest when compared to all the other great remixes of this source.

Drums are repetative throughout the mix, which is somewhat of a turn off. I wish more had been done with them. They aren't bad, just repetative. The melody is catchy, and adding the 'crunchiness' makes me dig it more. The 'sound effect' section is a bit strange, but it could have worked with more lead into it. Just a bit more of a transition. For it's age this mix has done well, and I'm surprised there aren't more reviews to it.
