If you are really bothered by the quality of a remix, then tell the creator about it yourself on the feedback page. If you have a problem with the judging standards, then get over it or visit one of the many other fine game remixing websites on the internet. (remixthasauce, vgmix, hell even olr.) Threads like these rarely ever amount to much, imo.

I almost forgot about that game. Good times were had being that flying blue lion guy w/ the gold armor. Now, how many of you remember Fighters Destiny 2 (N64)? I was helplessly in love with that game. And to its credit, it did put a different spin on the fighting genre. Moves were interesting to watch (although clunky), and the graphics were decent for the time, but in the end the game was just a button masher (darn counters were too hard to use.) And the bosses were not only stupid in design ( ie. a fighting cow/ a hooker), but they were hard as crap to beat. To this day I've never remained in the ring with Mou for more than 60 seconds.

I'm sure PCworld.com can direct you to some PC monitoring utilities. If your laptop seems to be overheating, elevate it with a small book or log if you have to. Just make sure the fans have plenty of room to circulate air.

Good matches today, Sega. I think I need to learn how to use those special modes better (the attack and defence things.) As you showed me, they can be pretty deadly. It was nice just shooting the breeze and talking about old 2d fighters, too. I might get back into Art of Fighting with the adivce you gave me.

I recall playing that game once (rented from Blockbuster) when I was a wee one. It was great fun, and I though the graphics were amazing, but unfortunately my skills at video games were not up to par at that time, so the game utterly owned my soul. [/frieght train]

TI 83> TI 82, and I say that from experience, haha. It's kind of hard to find an instance where one game in this series was head and shoulders above its sequel, but I'd say Tekken tag was the plateau in the series that Tekken three reached for, but couldn't attain. I can't say much about four or five, however becuase I haven't really played either of them at all.

The closest thing I've seen so far is reaktor. Or you might try Audacity. I'm not exactly sure what you're trying to accomplish, so I can't really help much more than that

Welcome to all new forum members! The site has just been through (is going through) some semi-major changes, so bear with us, and enjoy yourselves in the mean time.

This post is basically just to make sure my new sig works, but...... also.... Why don't we all go post in a bunch of other threads now. Well, actually, since I'm already wasting my time posting this.... why don't we start a guide for setting up for the tourney? Obviously not telling people where to access roms or anything, but where to get kawaks, and which version will be standard, and other things that may be important if someone plays KOF, but isn't very savy with emulation (or kaillera.) I know I'm not. And where the hell is Eazy P? I'd expect his butt to be all over this thing.

Hey, if you guys get this set up and I'm not busy running or something, I'll throw down in some KOF goodness (even though I'm a Capcomphile myself.) I was thinking of starting something like this myself, but I was afraid to because of the .....well.. dubious nature surrounding emulator based online tournaments. BTW, which KOF are we thinking about. I'm all for 2000, or 98 "Slugfest" and of course SFA is always good (if we change our minds)

Nice save, Old Man Time. I'll admit I almost forgot about this thread (shame on me.) Now, to add something relevent to the thread, I'd like to proclaim that I finally have my own copy of Smash. Hurrah! Unfortunately, that means jack without living, breathing, thinking opponents to play against. The stupid computer is... well a machine. It does super human things on a regular basis.

For Christmas I recieved: - Two Yu Yu Hakusho Manga - a pair of pajamas - Super Smash Bros. Melee (finally, haha) - S-video cables for my Gamecube That's pretty much all I wanted so, I'm satisfied. I still need to go out and by myself a new DDR pad though.

I hosted my first smash tourney yesterday evening. It was a great success. I had something like twenty participants and, while the skill level was mixed, there wasn't anyone who was unstoppable or uncontested. standings Unfortunately, my peach didn't do as well as I'd of liked, but then again my mind was more on making sure the tourney went smoothly, than it was on winning. I think this sparked interest in my area. We're definitely going to have another one soon, and...PEACH WILL HAVE HER REVENGE....

Eazy-P, yeah, Marth pretty much is a jerk...I'm still trying to figure out how you instantly tech off FD when he's edgegaurding with his sword. I see people do it all the time, but I think my timing is off.

Would probably end up being a Samus clone, and they're already Zero Suit Samus in there, so no don't think so My friend was telling me that zero suit Samus would only appear if your regular samus gets F'ed up by something like the acid in Planet Zebes. Can anyone confirm that or was I blatantly lied to? p.s. Thanks for the info CatPhysician. I probably should head back to smash forms for some more info, but I hesitate to because the information there is a little hard to grasp sometimes. And if were character speculating....How about Argus/Dart/that other guy (all three berserkers) from Fire Emblem?

Excellent mix! The sound is very warm and rich even if it's very soft. I personally didn't have much trouble hearing andything, but it is a realtively quiet piece. Guitar sounds professional (maybe Michael is? What secrets are you hiding from me?) For someone who honestly hasn't listened to any remixes in a while, this mix was a superb place to start again.
