  1. If its not picking up sound properly but you're sure the signal path through it is fine, then the coils aren't moving through the magnets properly, which either means the diaphragm isn't moving freely or the coils aren't. If its something that delicate, it would likely be cheaper to just buy a replacement then to have it fixed, being as cheap as 57s are. Have you tried an email to shure? They would know the most about repair issues I'd assume.
  2. Almost :3. As long as you credit ocremix and the remixer (as long as it is reasonably easy to do so) you don't have to ask anyone. Where visible/audible credit isn't reasonable, answering public enquires is fine. End of part http://www.ocremix.org/info/Content_Policy edit: that said most people would probably like to hear that their remix was used anyway, I know I'd be happy to find out someone liked it enough to play it somewhere.
  3. You do remember why I had no internet right? Also the issue isn't where the menu is, its that none of my keyboards are showing up in the menu like they used to. It used to say none/keystation, now it just says none.
  4. So I found my copy of Reason 2.5 yesturday, thought I'd load it up for kicks, and I'm really enjoying it, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to get my korg nanokey (or any of my midi keyboards) hooked up. Back in the day my other keyuboard worked just fine with it, but I can't even get that one showing up in the menu now. Am I forgetting some step that I have to take to get it to show up in that box? It works fine in other music programs.
  5. Hey man, thanks. I shall wear it with pride soon as I rememebr my ftp info!

  6. I just realised I have a copy of reason 2.5 sitting about so this might be a fun way to get back into it while i try and get my macbook fixed :3, sign me up.
  7. I'm back home now btw, so while I can't mix, I can listen to shit (woo). Just send me a pm with a link to the track dude, don't worry about going through the site for now.
  8. For those of you that haven't realised/heard: My laptop r completely borked, so I can't respond to any issues atm. Funnily enough, my first wip (and imo the best) was in reason so once i get back from uni i might be able to work on that on my old desktop, but until then (coupla weeks time) I can't really respond/comment to/on stuff. Sucks.
  9. (I do get a minute every now and then on other peoples comp to check up on things) Just so you know, I think the latest wip is good enough if I'm holding you up, I can scrounge the wav in target disk mode, then if you just fade the outro out it'll do imo (and do that secret intro thing we discussed ), or you can wait until my exams are over and i have time to take my comp to apple. Up to you.
  10. I've never been so happy that I live in Guildford .
  11. YARG. I was going to donate this month, and then my bloody card linked to my paypal got eaten by an ATM. Once I get the replacement you'll get your moneys!
  12. Aw shucks, you guys. (btw, you'd all cry if you saw how bodged my setup was back then)
  13. Have a very short sketch I made for votl ages ago that I will never finish. http://fishy.escariot.net/public/Warzone.mp3 Mwuhahahahah.
  14. I actually kinda liked it. They hit all the major points really; Kame touched Bulma's ass, Chi Chi threatened goku, kinda giant monkey, massive Kamehameha. They didn't shit all over too many plot points, and they left open the whole saiyan door for sequels. If you haven't seen it yet, go in expecting a hollywood rape being as bad as possible, and just laugh. I definitely wouldn't say that its a "good" movie, but I enjoyed it!
  15. Fictional languages muthafucker! Do you speak them!? Edit: With James Earl Jones as Dormin.
  16. now if del Toro directed it, I could rest a little easier. Good thinking.
  17. *sigh* I saw the dragonball movie today, and to be fair it wasn't that bad for hollywood, but I really can't see them being subtle enough for this. All we can do is hope.
  18. This is true of switching from any DAW to any other DAW. I don't think that FL or reason are what you would call typical DAWs, so I think its fairly important that anyone learning music production should at some point learn one of them. Basically that's Logic, Pro Tools, Sonar, Cubase or Reaper (probably missed one or two).
  19. Pre-macrant note: There is no best, it just happens to work well for me and thus i obviously recommend it. I've had the macbook pro + logic combo for ages, and imo it IS worth the money. A lot is said about them being expensive, but there's a reason my mums dell laptop died after 1 year of highly infrequent and boring use, and my macbook pro has been turned on for literally 18 months straight, put under a lot of strain (over 300 complete battery cycles) and gaming under bootcamp, and has never given me any problems unless it was in windows at the time. I think its crashed maybe... 5 times in total when booted in OSX. It still runs like the day it was bought and clearly has years left in it. Its expensive because they don't cheap out on parts. Sure there are some horror stories but they're very rare from a "per user" point. I don't think I've ever heard anyone NOT complain about their PC at one point or another. Yes a hand built pc is cheaper, it also has no warranty, and no guarantee it will all work. Just to clarify I'm not an Apple fanboy, macbooks clearly have flaws, but imo the platform is far more stable and reliable from a music production point of view, and reliability is more important to me then free vst's/soundfonts. The guy says he's interested in logic and reason, which Another Soundscape will tell you work most harmoniously on his macbook pro . If you do go the apple route, but the lowest ram possible and upgrade it yourself, they do enjoy ripping you off on that front.
  20. In my experience, virus problems seem to escalate 10 fold as soon as I install an antivirus program. I have no idea why, they just seem to make things worse. Imo the best anti-virus is Firefox + noscript combined with common sense.
  21. What are you guys talking about, the new layout is better then the new facebook!
  22. This is what I get for making a really heavy debut remix I suppose . I like to try and make lots of styles to help learn more about music.
  23. lol true. Pretty rare I finish anything these days anyway.
  24. lol, this is some serious hype. I wasn't that happy with it, but I hope you enjoy it as much as the preview.
