  1. This was featured on youtube today, awesome to see OC dudes going on to do well. Really cool lo-fi song with very silly lyrics, I like it!
  2. What is this obsession with catagorising every peice of music? It kind of sucks out the inidividualism and personality of music if you insist on giving it a label. Just enjoy it for what it is and put your tag guns away.
  3. You're totally right. Lets stigmatize the entirety of popular vocal music because you don't really like it and then we can all smoke pipes and bask in the resultant formant-devoid purity whilst using fun big words and being pointlessly condescending about those who have clearly lost their way and/or taste in music. Oh and yeah, zyko has like always totally been a social conformer and stuff. You totally called him on that one.
  4. zyko is allowed to like rap without being accused of social conformity you know. In fact I'll bet you're the first person to ever accuse zyko of any kind of conformity. People make music because its what they want, not what anyone else wants. Its called creative license, it means you won't like everything. Shame that, maybe you could make your own remix without vocals to fulfill your need? (Its how I got started. There was a lack of a rock version of a song I liked, not everybody liked it)
  5. Well its basically saying "I don't like your voice, get rid of it" but trying not to be offensive, which btw doesn't make it any less offensive. Unless you had asked for it without vocals for singalong purposes or something.
  6. That was friggin awesome, you even did machine gun drums. I have to learn how to trigger drums like that.
  7. Pretty cool as usual, just wondering why Fallout 3 didn't get a mention in this? I'd be curious to see your thoughts on what actual choices there are in that game.
  8. I really enjoyed systematic chaos, very raw sound. I'm glad to hear that they kept their production crew down to just Paul Northfield again. Its nice to hear bands with no external input, just doing what they do.
  9. I had been playing guitar for about 4 or 5 years, but I had no actual DAW/producing experience when I joined OCR. Let's see now... Joined 5th June '06 First sub (rejected) 21st August '06 Second sub (accepted) 11th Feb '07 8 months? Pretty good going I s'pose, I had a lot of general musical knowledge by the time I ever tried producing anything on a computer.
  10. I used to do it a little bit, but after I saw that guy say to zircons face on the boards that he was going to pirate antigravity, I realised what a shit thing it is to do. The only only reason I would ever pirate anything now is if it would otherwise be impossible for me to own that particular thing, ie translations of animes that don't officially exist, emulators for games that are reeeally rare etc.
  11. lol, xiao xue, which means Snow Queen, but we call her Tina/Tini, and no .
  12. BECAUSE I WAS AT MY GFs and posting takes like 10 seconds. I can start judging in 10 seconds if you like?
  13. Its pretty much there in the content policy. You can use anything you want from the site, without permission from the individual artist as long as you: 1. Don't profit from it. 2. Credit the artist and ocremix (including the website url) either before or after the songs. All the remixers agreed to the policy when they submitted, and they obviously all want their work to be heard if they submitted it in the first place . Its not the end of the world if you haven't credited them so far, but if you could in some way, even just mentioning wherever you download the shows from which songs were used.
  14. aw I remember rushing the guitar stuff together in december 2006 around christmas because Kyle was pressing the final wav deadline of 7th Jan 2007 or something. lulz
  15. lol, probably, I didn't even know it was for Tales at the time. I was genuinely suprised to learn I was on three songs. Could've doen a lot better now on some though, I think Apogee was done in 2006.
  16. Ok seriously, what the hell. I don't even REMEMBER doing any of the three tracks I'm supposedly on! Nice to see its finally out though, nice one .
  17. Sorry, can I just clarify that this was my silly way of saying that I had no real problems with the production. It was a quick vote originally just to help larry with the breakdown. On reflection it came off looking like an automatic bias, my bad.
  18. I know OWA pretty well by now: 0:00 to 0:45 taken from source 0:54 to 1:10 0:45 to 1:08 taken from source 1:10 to 1:18 1:32 to 1:52 taken from the same 2:40 to 3:03 taken from the same again 3:03 to 3:45 taken from the source intro 3:45 to 4:09 taken from 1:10 to 1:18 It doesn't use a large percentage of the source material, but it does use the main ones a lot, and they're personalized very well. Arrangement is fine lt . Production is uh... well its tefnek. If my face wasn't melted by his drums then it wasn't him. YES
  19. Really can't say man, it depends on how many other projects finish first.
  20. I look older now, honest :P.

  21. Yeah that's them, written by the most inventive pop producer I've ever known. Check out their youtube channel PlanetFrost. I highly recommend both albums :3.

  22. I have a similar collection for psp (its got exactly the same games); its pretty ballin', and it comes with a bunch of interview/goodies like art for getting so far in each game. I think its worth getting, lots of games for the price.
  23. Ah, gotcha. That goes without saying :3. ...Not that I'll ever buy 6 monitors mind you.
