Have a good one, and for craps sake submit some marimba work.

Well, I'm toying with the idea of making this a vocal mix, with some layered Steely Dan style harmonies, in which case I would just be grooving on the riff while theres singing, but i'm not the best singer. If anyone thinks they can pull off the style, let me know. Also, your subliminal nagging techniques do not phase me sir!

I've been listening to Donald Fagan's album Morph the Cat recently, and I totally addicted to the style, so I thought I'd try and make a ReMix like it. I've only just started but its too damn funky. http://fishy.escariot.net/public/ToejamFunkJazz.mp3

OverClocked ReMix Rock Opera Project- Need musicians!
Fishy replied to DjSammyG's topic in General Discussion
I wouldn't mind arranging the council battle. It's a pretty workable tune imo. You did a good job of not picking obvious songs for this. Hell actually, I started planning a remix of the Waverace tune a while back aswell. Such a great tune. -

I like this story. -
I think its a cool idea, because it means you can see what your favourite remixers are getting up to, but I would argue that maybe its something only OCReMixers should have the option of; as you said, if everyone had one it could negatively impact performance though I doubt it would be that popular. Paying for stuff is always iffy... If I had to pay, I probably wouldn't get one, but I would still be interested in reading those of others.

You're damn right there isn't. I'm so putting my name down for guitar. -
Relics of the chozo was like 70% prot, so theres no reason you couldn't get away it it.

If you have a personal request, you should contact the person directly instead of using the requests forum, although I agree with you completely. People keep saying she's got plans to remix it, but I haven't seen her say it yet. I hope she does.

I'm so logged in and stuff.

AS speaks the truth, over-kind reviews are damaging, but at the same time, just ripping stuff to shreds without advice is just as bad. They both just lead to that rejected feeling that makes people stop altogether. I don't think its the judges responsability to give advice, because its a thankless job due to the lovely judgehait they endure. If anything a bit of technical advice in a vote should be viewed as a bonus. I guess it would be cool if they swung by the WIPs forum every now and again, but you can't really expect that. I know zirc is very helpful in #ocrwip and theres always a bunch of us there. More people need to come to that channel, it could turn into a real goldmine. He's just flattered really.

How do I start remixing? A gear guide for multiple budgets.
Fishy replied to zircon's topic in Music Composition & Production
If this is as good as it looks, then I'm going to have a whole lot of fun with this tomorrow. Useful guide idea. -
Sounds cool, but you're not gonna get much response without a little more info. Got a site/screenshots/demo or anything? If the game is soon to be released then i'm guessing you haven't really started yet?

I concur, whimsical banter between co-host can be highly entertaining if theres some good chemistry, it keeps you interested.

Trust me on this, samples will get you a higher end quality on something this ridiculous then live drums will unless you have a real professional studio. I would urge not to have double pedal for as long as you do though, I know you want it to be hardcore, but this is too much seriously. Also you're not meant to post any WIPs in this thread. Might want to edit that out.

Yeah, I am sorry about that. I've been a little bit busy with other projects at the moment. I did take a look at that midi, but it was so full and fast that it wasn't something I could just poke at for a few minutes. Just go ahead and do what you like with it for now. Also I am so metul! I might be interested in doing something, but not right now, in a few weeks or so. I can record bass (I have a 5 string to match your 7 strings) and I'm getting pretty good a metal drums by now. Hit me up when you've got some stuff to work with.

The wet/dry setting determines how much of the signal is being changed by whatever effect your using. At totally dry, there is no effect whatsoever and at totally wet the whole signal is affected. It basically controls how subtle or strong an effect is. If you have two sliders, you can basically say how much of each signal you want. A one dial wet/dry generally maintains your volume, but with two sliders you can choose to keep the whole dry signal, and add the wet on top of it, or whatever combination you like.
