  1. This one, Tetrisphere, Pokemon, Radical Dreamers and SM64 right?
  2. The book left out too many events that could have been character development. Seriously, the characters are like cardboard cutouts. Dead leaves is almost impossible to explain without ruining it. Simple answer: violence.
  3. A World of Piano and A Tale in Piano by kLuTz would seem to be right up your alley. MP's Phantom Midnight and Liberi Fatali Overhaul both seem to fit the bill as well. Waxingeloquent's Dancing Madly Second form has a tendency to grow on people.
  4. 3 weeks is a goodly amount of time for those with time intensive jobs and obligations to slip in a couple of hours to make a piece.
  5. Yeah, PC gaming month was totally awesome. Even better than Ice and Fire month. I should probably register at theshizz and vote or something.
  6. Dearest Kyle, Attached is an arrangement of Harmonious Moment. It reminds me of the way I felt when we first held hands. Sincerely, Nobody
  7. I'm having the same feeling as The Prophet of Mephisto. I might get a little free time to pump something out.
  8. Rankin, Corrugation and the UT soundtrack would like to have a word with you.
  9. Man, the Necris music is quite disappointing.
  10. There's a part of me that wants to slap your forehead and yell "Ah-durrr!" Of course it's just a demo. FruityLoop's demo is the exact same way. I'm pretty sure most high quality DAW demos won't let you save your work, because if they did, buying the product would be moot. If you want to start out just by arranding things that you can save, I suggest finding a free midi creation program. Those you can actually save your arrangement work. Then simply import the midis once you actually get a DAW and work on mastering.
  11. Psychonauts, dangit. I know you have some sort of WIP already. I wants my Cirque de Psychosis.
  12. The mix was accepted over 5 years ago. Quality standards change. At the time, the sounds used there were probably close to top of the line. Music production has evolved at such a rate to make some of the best sounding old things childish in comparison to more modern offerings. Look at how far gaming consoles have evolved over the same period of time. Firstly, everything is mastered fairly quietly. I understand that you want to have dynamic contrast, but in this case, it's to the point where I can barely hear it until 1:50. The brass in your mix sticks out fairly sorely. There's quite a bit of unwanted squeaking coming from those high note stabs in...some instrument I can't readily identify. Maybe a flute? It doesn't really vary, as you yourself have said. Throw in some of your own stuff. Add a little interlude to break away from that main theme. Get creative. It will help you immensely.
  13. I have found it difficult to locate a .mus to PDF converter for Macintosh. Don't suggest Primo or CutePDF because those are Windows applications and won't work in my case. Does anyone know of another program that I could use to convert these files into PDF format?
  14. Awesome. Glad you liked the source, as obscure as it was. I'm going to go vote now.
  15. Thanks. It's a source I've wanted to see done sine I started entering PRCs.
  16. Gamemusicthemes.com has a piano arrangement of it. If you so desperately want one, you can learn to play it from the sheet music there.
  17. If you plan on entering, you should probably be finalizing ideas now. Here's hoping for some awesome entries.
  18. The swirls in the background at the beginning detract quite a bit from the clarinet in a bad way. It's not a major issue, just a minor quibble. Nice transition at 2:19. Don't overuse that percussion pattern. It kind of sticks out to me. Nice arrangement of the source. Overall, I'd work on making the percussion rolls more integrated. There are places where it feels like they're playing for no reason at all. If you do decide to keep them exactly where they are, at least do something to make them fit in better with the rest of the soundscape.
  19. It automatically starts playing when fully loaded. It's a possibility that your browser doesn't have the right plugins to play it. Pretty generic synths. The decay is a little longer than desirable. It bleeds onto the other notes. The background voice clip samples get a tad annoying after a short while. I would recommend more to fill out that section. The starting variation was nice, but it slips into a cover for the duration of the original tune. This needs a little bit more work panning and filling out the soundscape. The bassline doesn't always jive with the melody. I'd recommend fixing that first before working with anything else. You definitely need more interpretation. A little variation on the intro isn't going to cut it as far as arrangement goes.
  20. http://doulifee.com/prc/PrcSong/prc.php?prcid=89 ^ Star Wolf theme competition. All of your Donkey Kong requests have been done, and a handful of your DKC2 stuff as well. On this site no less. Ugh... I know that the Forest Temple has been done, and Villainelle did a kickass version of the Spirit Temple/Temple of Time theme. It'd take some searching, but it's worth it. The Delta Q Delta project should take care of your Doom 2 request when it's released.
  21. That's because the computer is the best system for FPS's. Period.
