  1. This is sick; I haven't even played FFVII but I feel some sort of connection to these tracks nonetheless. That's the mark of a good album, I think. I might splurge and buy the physical release, the 14 dollar pricetag is a bit steep for someone on a $0 a year income, but if the rest of the music is this good, I'd say it's warranted Counting down the days on this!
  2. That's okay, Arek's mistaken my project thread for his too at one point, so really it all balances out in the end
  3. I've been slacking on my updates, so let me formally congratulate both Blue Magic and Hylian Lemon on finishing their remixes. They're about as opposite in mood as two remixes can get, but both absolutely nailed their respective source tunes moods. Not much else I can say, although you can hear a sample of Blue Magic's track on the Christmas preview that was recently released. We're at the halfway mark, WAV-wise! Almost 80% of our songs have now seen significant progress or completion, so I think we're right on track for the Feb. 11th deadline. Some songs will straggle behind into March (Stilt Village GBA and Brothers Bear GBA are the two I already know about) but the rest of you have no excuse! Hell, even I'm progressing on my WIP. Keep sending me those updates! I've gotten a TON of them lately, and it makes me smile every time! A Challenger Approaches! Newcomer Doc Nano has completely knocked Wrinkly 64 out of the park. Haven't heard of him yet? Well, I guarantee you'll remember the name after you hear his song It's really incredible work. EDIT: Malcos is done too EDIT2: Add mv's song to the list!
  4. Happy birthday, Fattias Haggstrom Gerdt! Mattias Haggstrom Fart? Or maybe Mattias Faggstrom Gerdt... They're all good Take your pick, birthday boy!
  5. Great job on the birthday, you've earned it!
  6. Man, you really gotta get some live guitar on this. I LOVE the feel of your arrangement, but the guitar sample, unfortunately, is bringing things down a lot I think I'd be able to approach this mix a lot differently with a live guitar in there, because the arrangement is packed with a lot of emotion. All of the countermelodies are really beautiful, as are the backing strings. *Flashes the Stevo Signal!* Sure hope you can find some live guitar for this, it absolutely deserves it
  7. Hey, you got on the SD3 project :-D Told ya you could do it :-D Congrats!

  8. Ok, I'm really liking this one a lot Your piano sounds a lot fuller than I remember from your older WIPs, your synth choices are full of life, and the chords and melodies are very unpredictable. It feels very jazzy and humanized. I was gonna suggest a gated synth underneath your instruments but sure enough, when the second section of the song kicked in, there it was Awesome synth solo! My biggest beef is with the drums, which just don't ever feel like they're going anywhere. I'm imagining some absolutely epic progressive-rock style drums with some breakbeat influences that increase or decrease in energy to match what's going on in the song. Really, during the synth solo sections, it just doesn't make any sense to stick with the same loops that you used in the beginning of the song when the rest of the instruments are clearly ramped up in energy. Feel what I'm saying? Beautiful remix though, one of my favorites from you. This'll be a keeper for sure!
  9. Yeah, I was gonna say this has a sound hugely reminiscent of Noisia, but it looks like others have already pointed it out for me though I will second the motion though, that this is right up there with a lot of professional-grade D&B I've been hearing lately. Unbelievably good mix
  10. Happy Wednesday ಠ_ಠ

  11. Of course, he has to do a silly voice over track to go with it. This is imperative.

  12. This is absolutely stunningly beautiful. I love how each of the instruments seems to create a lot of its own ambiance. The arrangement is fantastic. Up your bass, you're not filling out the low ranges at all like you could be. Oh, it looks like you did boost the bass later in the song but now it's too much and making the whole song muddy. Maybe it's just your bass tone that's not working out for me, but that sticks out as a weak spot to me. I do wonder if it's too simple/conservative for OCR standards, but it doesn't stop me from enjoying this to the fullest. We should collab on a song sometime Hit me up if you're interested, I play piano.
  13. It's just another way of me trapping you in this project with no way out Nah, I think you gave some WIP feedback way back in the day... or maybe it's just because you had sexeh hair. But then you went and cut it SO I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHY WE'RE FRIENDS ANYMORE!! 3:
  14. Awfully bold accusation from a man who DOESN'T EVEN HAVE A WIP IN YET!
  15. Proto

    Y U NO WORK ON ESSAY? щ(`Д´щ)

  16. I read this as "have a good gay dude" and I thought... yeah, if you're into that, then treat yourself. It IS your birthday after all Happy b-day!
  17. Sorry! I wrote out the list and remembered that I'd never formally welcomed prophetik on to the project, so I added him in but forgot to change my sentence to make it fit My bad, i<3u rozooo~
  18. Some exciting things happening on all fronts right now... First off, Ergosonic's Rockface Rumble remix is DOOOOOONNNNEE!! It's definitely going to be a first-day mixpost, I can already tell that much... For someone who's only published 4 or 5 remixes in his time, Ergo's come up with something that's absolutely blown away my expectations for the track, and will surely do the same for you. This is one to get hyped about! In other news, we've lost McVaffe for the time being, who's having computer troubles... however, we've had the amazingly talented Doc Nano, big-name mixer prophetik and the ever-lovable Rozovian come on board with some new WIPs that are just fantastic. Expect great things from the both of them. Lastly, ARTWORK! I've showed this to a lot of you guys already, but for those who haven't seen it yet, we've finally got artwork done by TheMaverickk and we'll be posting a preview in the next few days with any luck At the risk of sounding smug, I feel confident that this will be one of the best looking projects, from an artwork standpoint, that OCR has ever seen. More to come soon! LOVE YOU GUYS who've been working away at your songs. Let's see more of that soon!
  19. WAIT HOLD UP... there's music in here? You know I jest. I've heard some of these tunes before but the finished versions are even more pro I know you're a prolific remixer primarily, but I hope you make MAD BANK on your original project too bro!
  20. Great job on your successful album artwork release, Protodome!
  21. Yeah man, send stuff mine and Stevo's way too. Just send us your WIPs in private message form
  22. The songs you mentioned are (in the same order you mentioned them) Jib Jig, Klomp's Romp, and Snakey Chantey, which WERE covered on the project by Patrick Burns, Joren de Bruin, and Tepid. Don't worry, they weren't left out
