This is amazing, so very mellow and relaxing. I love your style, every time one of these songs or your NiGHTS remix comes on from my shuffle I stop what I'm doing and listen. Keep the good stuff coming man!

No, a $50 samplefusion cd going to be any sort of respectable quality. Only the bigger names will have anything that you can get any sort of slightly realistic sound out of. Expect to pay at least $200 for even cheaper sets. On top of that Direct Wave isn't exactly a top of the line sampler either, I for one find it rather confusing.

Solution: get FL Studio 8, unless of course you didn't actually buy FL 5... *angryface*

OCR TF2: New Server forthcoming - new server IPs and other stuff
Zephyr replied to Bahamut's topic in General Discussion
Just go take a look at every locked thread currently on the forums, it'll have something to do with it. Alt.Slack is being stupid. -
No that's not normal, does your keyboard have a midi mode you need to change it to or something? You're sure you hooked up the midi cable and not some audio cable?
-
Did you try what I said in the first post? If you load up a channel then when you use the keyboard it should make a sound!

Oh my. That just made my day. I'm really hoping he never makes it into this thread, batten the hatches! Every man for himself. -
*Sigh* Another very general question with really no right answer, you should do some more research on what you want to do in FL Studio and how to do it before you go and buy some expensive keyboard for it. Anyways, it depends on what you really want to do, but I'll tell you how to get a sound loaded up. There should be a little panel with 8 sections after it on your screen, it'll probably say "sampler" or something from a drum kit, right click on that and choose "replace". This'll bring up a list of plugins (instruments) to choose from, now you pick one based on what you want, FL Keys is a piano, FPC is drums, 3xOsc is a synth. Choose one, that'll load it up. If FL Studio is still receiving the signal then it should play a sound (for some of the instruments you'll need to load in a preset first). If what you want to do is make beats, I'd check out http://warbeats.com/ If you want something more specific, then let me know with a more specific question.

Joins up on the forum just to make this thread? Wow, what dedication! What form! Also, Triple posts: bad form (unless you're bleck.)

yeah, we've been scheduling impromptu play times over #ocremix lately, working good so far, good rounds tonight everyone. -
Hmm... Might be a little tought to interpret that as music but hopefully I'll manage to give it a go.

I whipped this up in 2 hours yesterday morning, just some basic background music for November 22, nothing too special. If it's not up to standards just let me know, give it to me straight doc, I can take it. November 22 : http://www.mediafire.com/?nnjdljtgzzz Doesn't really fit that story specifically, but it's reminiscent so I figure it kinda fits anyways.

Can't we all just get along! No? alright then...

The Axiom and Keystation are very popular around here, I've got an axiom 61 myself. It depends on what you want for whether you'd get a keystation or not though. Is hammer action a big deal to you? If so then the keystation is a fairly inexpensive 88-key keyboard. If you want portability you'd be better off with the smaller axiom and oxygen models. As soon as you add onboard sounds the price jumps up rather quickly, so if you can just use your laptop instead that's probably the cheaper route. Good luck.

OCR TF2: New Server forthcoming - new server IPs and other stuff

Haha, I posted here, then saw Baha on steam, so I messaged him and he started to restart it but realized you had already started to restart it so it was a big confusing mess... but at first I thought he did it then I posted and he didn't tell me that you were involved until after. I wrote that whole sentence in one breath. -
I'm always up for TF2... The server is way to dead all the time.

Server is still locked, an unlock would be great. I'll be playing a bit today I hope. I'll try and get it started later once it's unlocked. Once you get it started it generally lasts for a few hours at least. Edit: Thanks Baha. -
...and then you blow up.

You could remix stuff with it, but you will NEVER get on ocr with it though, think of it more as a creative, portable, sketchpad. Write stuff up on it then do it on your DAW when you get home.

This is perhaps the funniest looking game I have ever seen, just watching some videos and it looks like hilarious fun. Downloading it to try it out right now.

Exporting in Pattern/Song mode (FL7)
Zephyr replied to Tarnish's topic in Music Composition & Production
Not if they're being automated, and no, I don't believe that deleting those loses your settings, it's complicated to explain, but that's not where the setting data is stored, make a backup and try deleting them and the automation data. The fact that you have those in that folder means that you DO have unwanted automation somewhere, and that's probably the root of your problem. -
CMC - Conceptual Music Competition 24: Ultimate Showdown
Zephyr replied to Abadoss's topic in Competitions
Wow, listening to these, the bar is still rising... I'm falling behind. Luckily I'll have christmas break for the next theme . -
I'm putting up props for http://www.mediafire.com/, I've been using it a bit lately, no problems really. It has a really nice upload interface, allows files up to 100mb with unlimited downloads, unlimited files, etc. Easy to download stuff from there too, also has a good folder based organization system.
