They've started ripping of WIPs? What is wrong with these people!

I <3 this thread. I just never really understood the whole scenes workflow in Live, it's like FL's patterns except for some differences I just couldn't get used to. Also correct me if I'm wrong, but when you're putting things onto the playlist doesn't it record the audio from the scene and place pure audio on the playlist? I think that would be a major downside opposed to FL's midi patterns which generate the music on the fly from the midi. Sure it takes more cpu, but you can easily change the synth or tweak the midi without having to re-record the audio. I've used FL Studio Live mode and for live playing it works great. I don't understand what you're trying to say... You can name each individual pattern however you like and can color-code them on the playlist, they also each have their own pattern number.

25 minutes left still... The opening closes and opens like something or other.

Being called live it definitely does excel at quick on the fly stuff, especially with looper and APC in 8. I like my FL Studio though, FL lacks some great stock instruments though, it just has a few samples and some crappier synths.

Looks pretty much like a slightly different synthmaker, which I never really got around to using. It's nice to see more community driven stuff out there now though, as the community can do lot more than the developers ever can with their limited time and staff. Crazy that they have their own midi controller though, that's sweet, probably stupid expensive, but it's really sweet. Going with lighted values on the knobs is a great way to eliminate jumpy parameters. They mention that it can make synths, and if you mean that it won't do it well, you might be surprised. Some fans go crazy and code some awesome stuff.Share is really cool, seems like a similar idea to IL's collab, except collab kinda sucked and this looks really slick. Loope r= Wow, reads tempo for you and keeps it all under control. Someone should make all of the DAW companies team up and combine all of the best parts of each, it would never happen and it would ruin competitive marketing, but it would be awesome. This is making me want to go back and try out my Live Light again (even if it is severely handicapped)

What? No sixto! Be healed by the power of shredding and come make music for us little people! I'm looking forward to this, I always loved DKC 2's music.

Independence free VST host?

Go sit in the corner and think about what you've done. Or is there some other way to take those sentences? -
I dunno about Zelda though, Harvest Moon style Zelda? We'll know in 8 days anyways. A Zelda game with more time travel elements would be cool, although it's not like they haven't done the whole time travel/dependent worlds thing before (Ages, Seasons, Dark Worlds, Old and Young, shall I go on?). I seriously doubt that this is Zelda though, even if that is undeniably a triforce. There is the off chance though, and it's about time we start hearing about the next one. Keep in mind that in the past someone important mentioned that PH would be the last Zelda game as we know it.

Somehow j64 dodged that bullet, DON'T THINK WE DIDN'T NOTICE! I want my money's worth! Which of course would be nothing, but I'll let it slide this time!

Fruity Loops Audio Rendering. Figure it out here!
Zephyr replied to Dragonmind's topic in Music Composition & Production
I'm pretty sure disable max poly just disables the maximum amount of polyphony on all channels and plugins, otherwise when max poly is reached, notes start to cut out as other notes take up their spots. Some people set a max poly when working to save cpu, but then they'd disable it for the render just in case they would lose notes. As for audio rendering, I just put it to mp3 and hit start. -
Go to http://flstudio.image-line.com/ click "Account" then log in. On the right side there should be a column that says "My Licenses" FL Studio should be listed there, click it and then click the big padlock and follow the instructions.

Can you save a project? If you can't then it didn't register properly, and if you can, then you're probably trying to download samples that you don't have access too (For example a lot of samples for directwave must be purchased as a sample cd). To register, grab your reg code from your account page, then double click it to run it. Then try again.

diy & experimental electronic music

Wait, so that would process a midi message and then turn it into a chord, then send it back out? That'd be sweet! If you do make it, please share, and it doesn't look terribly difficult. -

Dhsu: How low can you get the buffer before you start getting artifacts?
-
I managed an effect almost identical to the one in the first video simply by running pure static through an LP filter with some high resonance and moving the cutoff around, add some reverb and delay for awesomeness. BP gave a different effect, so try both. The other two videos I think are doing something a little differently; it sounds more like a rimshot, I achieved something rather close by taking a crisper rimshot and adding a ton of reverb, with a filter on top of that you could get something close, but I'm sure there's a way to get it closer. EDIT: did some more fooling around and you can also use static for the second one, use a ton of reverb with the filter on the end, but instead of steady static, just give it one shot and then the reverb will make the sound. Good luck.

The other thread this was mentioned in was the "Nobuo Uematsu Thief" thread. http://www.ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=19707

Where's Hoboka? We can't break the tie if he doesn't enter...

I've actually used that sort of thing at a science center a few years ago, there was a puck on a table, and you'd compete against someone else's level of brain activity to try move the puck across tho their side of the table. It was a competition to see who could concentrate more. Not new, but seems like a really cool idea anyways.

Nobuo Uematsu YOU THIEF! (see other thread for previous mentioning, please hold for further assistance)

It would be cool to somehow integrate a system of sorting by game, but I'm not sure which field you could use.

Why would anyone vacation to Canada? Last I checked there's not a lot of amazing things up here. -
I'd love to be involved, but I'm busy tonight, I'll hopefully make it out next week if it continues at this timeslot, I'm busy at this time once or twice every few months.
