  1. I'll def try to get my WIP updated by August 1st.
  2. That's good enough for me! "Secret Slowjam": https://www.dropbox.com/s/50tvk6wa74d2hd8/secret_slowjam-20150707.mp3?dl=0
  3. Well, I recorded the guitar, and I might add a bit more to it, even without extension (which sounds like a good & popular idea!) I'll sub a bonus mix at least soon (should really work on my project tracks tho!) The daughter helped out mapping the piece out:
  4. "Lurking since 1999" is pretty badass (even if paraphrased a little).
  5. Ahhh, I didn't realize the deadline was a bit earlier that I am used to with PRC (maybe because it's been a while since I participated?)
  6. Sorry, I've been trying to hammer out my track for VV3. I've made a little more progress on both tracks since I last sent WIPs though. I should be able to attack both in the coming weeks.
  7. I've transcribed some stuff on the guitar, hopefully I have a moment for recording.
  8. I wish I could find the PC88 version of the tune(s), I'd be very interested in hearing the music in the original form. I guess I could try to pull out the Roland MT32 youtube links too.. both the Adlib and MT32 versions (just different sounds) are good to listen to. I'm partial to the Adlib version since that's what I've played.
  9. Hnngh, I hope I have a moment tomorrow to submit a token submission...
  10. Thanks for the comments, much appreciated likewise! I did start the previous day (figuring out the source on guitar & bass, drum loop "sequencing" and guitar recording), and thought it was total crap, but happily after sleeping on it I was able to glue it together (slap some more fx on the guitar, record bass + figure out the arp). Pretty good effort:outcome ratio for me still.. I'll see if I can polish it a bit (mixing, transitions and stuff and a bit more splicing of the drumloops) without having to spend a ton of more work.
  11. 1. Frost Walrus (X4) 2. Commander Yammark (X6) 3. Neon Tiger (X3) 4. Wire Sponge (X2) 5. Bamboo Pandamonium (X8)
  12. I'm also happy to provide assistance - (modest) electric guitar & bass, keyboard/synth stuff ... if any Renoise users out there want a collaborator, that would be fun. I'll claim a track of my own when I dig myself out of the other stuff I've piled on myself.
  13. X8 also has a few (some are apparently unused themes, according to Youtube comments):
  14. Yay! Uuhhhh, have to think about the source choice a bit. I've been mostly listening to newer indie stuff lately and I doubt there's that many MIDIs available. Nice tune, Paladin! I dig the dubby sound choices. There's one simple/chippy synth doing the arpeggio which sticks out as a bit simple/dry, but overall the sound palette is cool. I especially like how you handled the "laggy twang" in the first few measures (or whatever). I think it was a good choice to not incorporate the key modulations (or whatever). Yeah.
  15. OCR would accept it, if it was up to the site standards. I know MSSIAH as the MIDI cartridge for C64, I want one of those (I have a C64). But it never occurred to me to check out the software in advance - is it available separately?
  16. I'm definitely in, I just need to take my time to go through the Maverick themes - I have played maybe 15 minutes of the X series in total. Meanwhile, let me introduce Maverick Astley: Jorito, me & Tuberz McGee. PREPARE TO BE ... ROCKROLLED
  17. I've got my project open 24/7 and work on it every five minutes I can. : )
  18. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was. Glued together and uploaded.
  19. I tried to start something quick, but it's not coming together very well. : )
  20. Oh wow, 300th round. I do feel obligated to enter, I must say! Nice idea for the source, too!
  21. Looks great to me. The look reminds me of the original Star Wars trilogy. FWIW I like flat-shaded, texture-free polygonal graphics anyway for the lean-and-clean style, this reminds me a little bit of that. The gamepad cockpit view and 3rd person on the telly may be a nice touch too. Fun idea, at least.
  22. That was remarkably good. Some of the harmonies were a bit on the murky side, but with a little tweaking they'd be all nice and jazzy. Reminds me of the mellower Nintendo stuff on the DS. Well done!
