  1. The intro asn't doing too much for me, but once it kicks in, wow, it's awesome. The soundscape and sound design are excellent. The violin lead is a very nice touch which adds some mystery to the remix's atmosphere. It's 7-minute long, but each second that passes brings in new ideas and stuff. Very nice job!
  2. Beautiful arrangement -- I never played Earthbound but I know this source. The atmosphere, while a little melancholic, is relaxing. The performance is on-spot. You created something very nice, good job!
  3. Hahaha, I love the narration -- the lyrics are excellent as well. There's indeed a Bon Jovi vibe to this -- it's nice to see how versatile Joe can be. Production is very clean. Those solos were super sexy too~. A nice example of how you can make a great track with a silly theme ^^
  4. Very groovy and funky -- expecting no less from Sir J. I really like how you could incorporate more electro/chiptune elements here and there with the funky stuff. Percussion work is excellent. The slower breakdown is a fine addition as well. Perfect production, great groove, super nice track!
  5. My gift should arrive to my person's house before the end of the week.
  6. Before you close recruitment, add me for Tetris, please. I always wanted to give a shot at this one, maybe it's time.
  7. Try asking OA, he did the artwork for a few albums, especially Balance & Ruin.
  8. Funny remix --the arrangement itself is interesting (yet repetitive). Considering its length and style, I guess it's a total parody track. Not my cup of tea, but there are a few good things (mainly the performance). Not too much to say here.
  9. Uh, it's... interesting I guess. Redg has his very own style that may not suit everyone, but I can totally agree on the fact it's very well produced. Arrangement-wise, it's quite chaotic, and even quite repetitive to my hears. Sorry, the solid production won't save this one for me.
  10. Really interesting remix, especially when I primarily know the artist for his piano-only remixes. Great atmosphere, both tropical and chilly -- fits the game's title I guess! I love the percussion work -- it's not overwhelming, but still quite present as well. Some samples are not too realistic (the flute), but it's far from being a problem. Very nice one.
  11. How in the nine circles of Hell did I miss this? My fav source from DKC + hot damn metal? Hell yeah! Quite short remix, definitively heavier than SnappleMan's classic arrangement. The performance is excellent, the production is very tight too. The fade-out is a little disappointing considering how great the remix sounded. Post more, man! \m/
  12. Great, great!! Any chance for a zip file DL? The zip option doesn't seem to work on the website. Thanks! EDIT: Nevermind, it worked!
  13. I hit 40 before leaving this week-end -- let's get back on track!
  14. Nice job to everyone involved. It is great to see how such a tribute can exist after so little time. Thanks to The Damned, to OCR, and to Mr. Iwata.
  15. Finally watched the end yesterday evening. It was good.
  16. New review: This is an interesting remix. It's far from being my cup of tea, but eh, some diversity won't hurt. It actually reminds me of Children of the Monkey Machine's stuff at some points. The production is very clean, even with all the distortion here and there. I wished it went totally crazy with more percussion at some points, but the mix stays at the same level of intensity all the time. Interesting concept though.
  17. This is interesting, like a blend of chiptune/electro elements with some rock/metal (the heavier parts) and a bit of atmospheric influences. The arrangement is very cool, but I found the track to be very quiet compared to the energy it has -- a shame ^^ The remix could have benefited from being shortened, as it felt a bit repetitive after a while. Other than that, it's good.
  18. Wow, the intro didn't prepare me for this lol! I think I'm hearing some glitches/pops here and there. The groove is cool, and some elements are interesting, but this remix doesn't sound too good to me. It's quite repetitive and stays at the same level of intensity once the intro is over. The ending was abrupt too. Not a fan, sorry.
  19. Nice mix of tropical and electro elements. The guitar sounded a bit unrealistic at some points like Timaeus pointed (the piano too but it was used less), but that's far from being a problem because it blends well with the rest of the instruments. The overall atmosphere is very cool, and the choice of electro percussion over ethnic/world ones is interesting too.
  20. Like Timaeus said, you really nailed the underwater/ocean atmosphere with this track. The sound design and choice of synths are very good, and they fit the theme. Excellent drum programming and choice of samples. The second part (or at least its beginning) felt a little darker than the first part, but the ending part fixed this. I really dig this one. More please!
  21. A nice take on this classic tune. Love the atmosphere you created with the pads and the bird FX (a fine addition!). The percussion fits perfectly the track and its source -- it gets a little ethnic vibe in consequence, which fits Donkey Kong Country 2. It's maybe a little long, but I found those 6 minutes were very relaxing. Nice job.
  22. Very nice vibe on this one (some cool disco influences, especially the staccato strings). It starts rather calmly but then gets more and more power. I like the synthetized voice, but they get a little repetitive at some point -- not a huge deal though. The more atmospheric breakdown was a nice addition too. A fun track to dance to.
  23. Wow, releasing the album on his birthday would be an awesome thing!
  24. It's Flexstyle, so you can expect upbeat percussions, crazy synths, and a lot of energy. The intro isn't too dynamic, but later on, the arrangement gets really crazy! The track goes through several variations of sounds and it's really interesting to hear how it evolves. Production is top notch, as always, but the ending is a bit abrupt.
