  2. I still knew Bioware as "that company that makes those really boring RPGs with the really good stories" around the time that Mass Effect came out.
  3. I admit, a lot of the other stuff I've been listening to is a lot more appreciable. I shouldn't have assumed based on what little I'd heard in trailers. The game isn't very good.
  4. This is a stupid simplification. The definition of noise tends to vary, but the idea that "noise" is synonymous with "sound" is one that only makes sense if you don't really know anything about any of the many contexts in which the word noise would be used.
  5. I can't even begin to count the ways in which this isn't true.
  6. Yea, but whereas Muse' other music isn't anything similar to dubstep, a lot of the other stuff I've been listening to by Noisia (particularly the stuff for DMC) to try and broaden my view of them is basically just as noisy and irritating as the few tracks that I can guess can definitively be classified as dubstep. I'm just not a fan of music that tries to pass off noise as having the same artistic merit as actual music. If there are any examples of Noisia making music that sounds like music in a classical sense, then I'm all ears, but at this point I've been unsuccessful in finding anything.
  7. when you made this thread I searched for "noisia dmc" and this is the first thing I found maybe I've been misled as to what dubstep actually is so maybe I'll go edit my post to say "music that's made out of the sound of a washing machine being thrown into another washing machine"
  8. not going to pretend that dubstep doesn't suck
  9. EVs don't matter for the main game, but they do when battling other people who take the time to EV train themselves.
  10. EV training is kind of important, but I think you can skip out on IV bullshit and still have a strong team.
  11. I'm interested to see what their final forms look like, but I'll probably go with Froakie because I've always taken the water-type.
  12. why does every pokemon announcement have to be followed with everyone talking about what designs they do and don't like as if it has ever or will ever matter in any meaningful capacity
  13. August 16th, 2013 news headline; "Capcom cancels development on Mega Man X9, claims fans are to blame, fans outraged"
  14. I hope it's an MMO based on a JRPG so I can lambast this company for not learning their got dang lesson.
  15. oh goody another jrpg that isn't a skies of arcadia sequel
  16. The logo on its own is pretty telling. Edit: Also, here's a picture of Joakim Mogren, CEO of Moby Dick Studios.
  17. I think it's probably going to be bad, because otherwise Capcom would have shut down its production, as part of their new 'Fuck Keiji Inafune' stance.
  18. now I can listen to ice cap zone without being stabbed on the sidewalk
  19. It's a lot better than NSMBW. The level design is more spacious, satisfying and above all, accommodating for the multiplayer aspect. The Flying Squirrel Suit is the best jumping/flying powerup in any Mario sidescroller, because it manages to be satisfying like the Cape or the Tanooki Suit, but without giving you the ability to skip nine-tenths of the game. The boss fights are a bit more challenging (and harder to cheese), and the music is a bit better than NSMBW (though not by much, unfortunately). Oh, and the team in charge of the art clearly heard all the complaints about the New Super Mario Bros. series having drab art, because they kick it up a few notches in this game. All in all, I'd say this entry is the best in the NSMB series, and definitely one of the best Mario sidescrollers.
