Shit, man, where have you been? Gone from OCR for two years, infrequent updates on your site... it's been an unhappier place without ya, man. This was a really fun rendition of the classic AVGN track; I especially loved the 'Cowa-fuckin'-piece-of-dog-shit' thrown in the middle of it all. I have to agree that the vocals should come out more overall in the track. I love the guitar work, as usual, but we all need to hear those lyrics better for maximum effect Great rendition, overall, and glad to see you putting awesome musics around here again.

The album has my thumbs up. The light textures, the easy to listen to sound design, the crystal synths used for the melodies... it all works wellin the context of a Christmas album. I hope plenty of people have the time to check it out, as it's a pretty relaxing listen, overall.

Well shit, man, I've been going up there almost every other week for the past three months. Now that I'm done with that job you want to start a meet-up? LAME. I could still be interested, though, pending on time restraints that I may or may not have in the future.

Mechanical man, we meet again, eh? One of my favorite sources from the C&C soundtrack, and one of yours too, considering this is the second time I've seen you make an attempt at it. Alright, the saw wave can work well for what it is, but you're going to need a deeper bass to cover that spectrum better. Either that or increase the bass in the current instrument, but I'm speaking from experience when I say that's really, really hard to do while keeping that distinct timbre and/or avoid the mids/highs from clipping to high hell. My personal suggestion (and take this as what it is - a suggestion) would be to decrease (or even cut) the low end of the saw spectrum and add a deep (yet easy to manage) bass to the track. That gives you the best of both worlds - the very fitting saw and a deep, resonating bass that covers the low end well. The beginning sounds like you're having a lot of fun toying with different timbre combinations. While all of them are fun, at 1:10 it feels that the track losses balance of where it should be. For the sake of track pacing you should change the section up about here - you can use the following ideas later in the track if/when you recapitulate the earlier material, so it doesn't sound repetitive. No need to waste the work you've already done - just use it a bit later. Overall, I think some of your instruments (preferably the melodic ones) could use a little more attention to the high end of the spectrum. This will both make the overall sound more complete and make the themes easier to hear. This is a great start to the track. I hope my suggestions come in handy for ya, since I really like the source.

Thanks for whomever sent in a WIP today or earlier - this was the due date. For everyone else, I understand there are cool things like the compos, Christmas, other albums and MAGfest coming up that can be distracting. However, I'd really appreciate something of an update in the next few days. If you don't get this message I'll be sure to pass it along to most of you in the next day or so - I know there's going to be trouble getting WIPs through January, so I'd like to see some progress happen before that time.

With 36 remixers? I don't see any feasible way unless you eliminate mixers per round, which this compo doesn't do (and tbh is one of the more interesting aspects of it).

Basically, you're sellin' milk to cows, if you're asking for paid work as an arranger on this forum. You won't have too much luck finding work around here, save for the occasional post by someone requesting a soundtrack to be written for them (it happens periodically - you just need to be vigilant on the forums), since we're almost all arrangers ourselves. Your stuff isn't bad, though - I wish you luck in your job hunt. We're just being brutally honest when we say you won't find much job opportunity here.

I think the vocals are alright, now, intonation-wise. Toward the end especially, though, there's a little clutter in the mixing, so turning down the chatter clip might help clean up the clutter. Overall the voice is a TOUCH hard to hear - maybe turn the track down a hair so the voice can be heard over it better. Other than that, I like. It's pretty close to resub, imo - let's see what the mods think of it.

Hyper Sonic Hype from the FBRC2k9 might tickle your fancy a little bit. Otherwise, the SK3 album has a kickass remix of the track, too, though I'm sure you've heard it before.

First ORC, then PRC... It'd be really sad to see this one go. I'd love to participate in this one more often, but... I'm not figuring out any good excuses atm. I might get something interesting going for this one. I love DS' compos and all, but I suspect they're taking remixers away from these little gems, which is sad.

This is very, very awesome. The light arrangement style is so fitting to this track. Seriously, I don't have complaints about this, at all.

I really like this. If you're doing this every MWF, I'm going to be looking forward to them. The reharmonizations are very interesting and generally quite tasteful (some are rougher than others,as mentioned before, but I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing, with such a familiar tune). I think I also heard some Zelda Flute motifs in there on the organ, too. Very subtle. Very nice.

Man, jazz isn't a real genre.
