  1. This mix isn't for me personally, its a little too repetitive, but I have to say I admire the skills put into making this... production is fantastic, and it has lots of cool ideas to spice things up. And the guy was 14 when he made this? You guys serious???? You don't want to know what level I was at with music making at that age.... Give it a few years, who knows what he will be coming out with... someone to watch, thats for sure
  2. This is an idea I support, a lack of a memberlist search function has bothered me when i've wanted to find people that aren't ocremixers or too frequent posters.

  7. Word from neblix is that we can vote for ourselves Thats what various people have done (including me, shamelessly)
  8. I got a pm from john about that, I suggested for people to have something for a months time but I haven't heard anything from him. It's something that we are thinking about though.
  9. No replies? But this is HOBOKA people, you all should be tripping over each other to taste the awesomeness. Anyway. First thing i'm noticing is lack of bass. you need a bass in there dude, track is really lacking in that department. As for production, your samples don't sound so bad to me, but the mixing is very muddy. I think you lead is the worst aspect, you can hardly hear it and the sample is very iffy. All you need is a simple analogue sawtooth wave with some chorus or something for that, would sound great, that lead needs bringing out man you need to sort out the EQ as well. I can't be too specific here as to what you need to change them too - I just tend to fiddle until I get a clean sound - but the organ and the choir are muddying up atm, separate them with panning, and mess with the EQ. What I would suggest if everything is sounding very muddy to do is to bring down the levels on everything, and bring up each one, one at a time, and do little fixes until you get as clear a sound as you can get. There is also alot of reverb on it that could be toned down to help clear things up. Listen to zircons monstrous turtles I suggest, thats a sound similar to what your trying to get here, and try and get it as close as you can to that in terms of production. Thats a good source of comparison you can use. Anyway, thats all i'll say here, would comment on arrangement, but no source. Keep at it dude
  10. When I got my playstation 2, it came with a 16 mb memory card that needed a disc to run on the playstation everytime I started it up to make it work. One day, the disc stopped working, and as a result lost EVERYTHING saved on all my games. boohiss.

  17. I didn't actually find this fantastic site until last year (well... two years now hehehe) sometime, and yet, I feel like I have been a part of the community for much longer. Its been pretty awesome hearing all the great music on the site, and getting feedback for my own music. I'd also like to say that without OCR, I wouldn't be half as good at music as I am now, so thanks to OCRemixes community and thanks to DJP for founding this excellent site. I will be still a a frequent visitor in 10 years i'm sure
