I'm hearing some similarities between CV3's Beginning, Reincarnated Soul, and Iron Blue Intention. At 2:00, Intention's upward build reminds me of :20. Maybe. Just trying to get some juices flowing. The soloing is great. I'm not about to time this but it would seem like there still could be more incorporation of either theme. Unless your solos are an intepretation of either theme. Then there's a bunch of grey area. Willrock's Ice Cap mix had (in the mind of a few judges) questionably short source usage the first time he subbed it if I remember correctly... and it didn't even seem to be that liberal to me. That 2:00-2:55 section where you repeat that Intention intro thing. It's a long build up..and it kinda drags. Could something else be going there, alongside that buildup or otherwise?

OCR01888 - Sonic the Hedgehog 3 "Snowboardin' Sonic"

Congrats on this (finally) getting posted. Your latest wip for it has been on one of my car mix CDs for a while, and it's still awesome to listen to. -
You hit a lot of the points I was thinking about while considering what to post. Especially the bold part. A solution to this problem (chiefly: DMCA violation) might be to create a way to sideload apps... but restricting these sideloaded apps from accessing the internet, optical drive, some parts of the hard drive etc. so that these apps can't (easily) be created to hack or allow the execution of "backup" games while still giving regular people a way to make/use homebrew apps for these consoles. But that would undermine the online app/game stores for each company's console (or at least create competition for their own platform), and .. thus probably not be in their financial interest. ..blast it all. There is no solution.. except to create a competing console/platform. Good luck.

Dude, this guy went to my school. I should have hit him up for my .. ... wait, ... that... yeah. Unfortunately modding is not done solely for the purpose of playing illegal copies of copyrighted games. Since it does give purpose behind unlawfully copying games etc, though... it's completely illegal. Just like creating / distributing code that can decrypt the video files on DVDs even if you just want to use it to make personal copies of the movies you own. It can lead to the distribution of said working, decrypted copies to people who don't own a right to the material. Therefore that code is illegal (or at least distributing it is). Just because it's the law doesn't mean this doesn't annoy me. But what can we do as a minority? And for this guy's case, it's possible he won't get all 10 years, but... if it's ICE... he runs the risk of getting deported, I suppose.

Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening: Threshold of a Dream - History

Reaper is 80-100% compatible with Linux (ubuntu) via Wine. I almost prefer running it in Linux. Though it's not "free" and it certainly doesn't (really) cost nothing. -
AeroZ. Did you know your moniker spelled backwards is "ZoreA"? As far as I'm concerned, it could spell "feces." Or "innocent bunnies being slaughtered by greedy farm hands" - it wouldn't change how awesome Fallen Dragoon is or how much your work and talent impress me. Alright. Fallen Dragoon has its touching parts. That cello pierces my soul. It's so emotional. So is the melody and stuff. After.. 2:43. Everything after that is gold. A gold-tipped arrow that has reached for my heart and is now pushing its way out my eyes. Or a gold piece of jewelry that you look at and enjoy. It just depends. I usually am a fan of chiptunes but sometimes in this piece I just have to wonder if their color fits. Maybe I just wanted.. MOAR CELLO. Because I love cello. It's so emotional. Anyway, the song in the OST is now engraved in my mind. Possibly forever. Thanks to this song. (and your Mysidia remix is ... well, you took a really weird song and made it weird in an interesting and different way. I like it.)

hm, still interested.

meh. .rogerG Lying quiet on my bed Sadly wishing I were dead My father asking me instead Clean the blood where he had bled Lying quiet on their bed Told him I wish to be dead He repeated what I had said When he left I shaved my head It's not that I don't seem to care It's not that I don't like long hair It's not like telling black from white It's not like trying to be right For in this life we cannot win Forging dreams in old cans of tin No one can escape the sin Walking into the devil's grin Bagging up my old brown nest Feeling light like I could jest I went downstairs to see the rest How this change did them infest Father had put down his gun Aimed directly at his son My mother's tears how did they run Her life had ended as mine begun How am I blind to all but me How could I act so selfishly What we do we cannot undo Just one misstep and then you're through It's not that I don't seem to care It's not that I want your despair All our needs cannot compare And my one change is now unfair For in this life we cannot win Forging dreams in old cans of tin No one can escape the sin Walking into the devil's grin No, in this life we'll never win Shooting dreams in old cans of tin Walking straight into the sin Walking into the devil's grin

for me, OoE's best replayability feature was hard mode lvl 1 with Albus. I'm sure they'll find a way to make the game rewarding even after completing it without making it feel forced... along with making the game feel fun enough itself. But there's no reason to make the game frustratingly difficult on first go. Or is there? Should bosses be easy fare or should it take several tries to actually kill something and to learn the key to destroying them? And regular monsters and paths through areas? People complained about how frequent death was in OoE but I don't think I ever really died before fighting albus... hm. Just... any offering in the castlevania series will work for me at this point.

I'm excited in any case. Maybe if this game could be a little harder, less hand-holding and obviousness (if an RPG) then I'd be happier than if it were easy.

right before sunset i want to play diablo 2. I finished Act 1 for the first time when the sun was setting, and the lighting in my room at that time always reminds me of how great it felt to kill that demon bitch andariel.

Playing a game for so long you start to see it IRL...
SoulinEther replied to PROTO·DOME's topic in General Discussion
A little ironic that you experienced it with tetris - that's the game that lent its name to the tetris effect. I used to play diablo 2 on hardcore (meaning once your character dies you lose your character). I played so much that I could close my eyes and see the game, and imagine activity. I could even cause my heart to race by "seeing" my character's health bar reach empty. -
I could never get past that "level" after the 12th world... there's something seriously messed up about having the last (or nearly the last) part of a game be completely different in gameplay from the rest of the game.
