  1. I recommend you try another photo hosting service. Imageshack doesn't make medium-size copies server-side after you upload them, so browsing through your album means downloading the full-size, ~3mb original JPEGs for everything I want to look at (unless I just go by the thumbnails). At least for future ones. I like the rear view mirror shot with the hanging stuffed animal, perhaps because it appeals to my darker side. And the blur in the second photo makes me feel like I'm in some sort of nightmare: a nightmare in which I'm running scared from Bambi wielding a butcher knife. edit: and i dusted off an old canon ae-1. bought it a battery so it could work, too, lol. managed to break the 28mm lens already (in my defense it was kind of coming apart already) but there's still the 50mm. if I ever churn out a gem, and get around to scanning it... i know where to go to share it
  2. lol. Happy birthday. You guys barely made it out in time to (not) see April.
  3. searching for bloody tears with google 4 years ago took me to ap's Bloody Tears Inspired remix - it might have been one of the first results too. I was trying to figure out how to play it on piano and I hadn't heard it in a while, and I was looking for a cover. Found out the remix wasn't a cover and went back to the google results to get what i was looking for... but a few days later I decided I liked the remix and looked for it again - and I haven't left since.
  4. This is California - it's all a show. The more agencies involved, the better the hype, the more money to be made for everyone huzzah.
  5. the sad part is it's been an hour and not one response yet happy birthday to all of you. +1 for more April birthdays.
  6. I think Simon's uncontrollable jump poses the greatest challenge. Trying to avoid falling through and not hitting something while landing on the other side is hard. But yeah I totally went with mega man first.
  7. I think it's amazing that, regardless of whether or not you like his music or you like him a person, or know him at all, merely mentioning his name summons the masses to criticize or adore him wherever you go. Chtonic's right on this one. I just wonder when he'll fade into oblivion. this made me lol.
  8. I'd just write a quick note on his wall, just like I do with all the celebrities; everyone knows everyone in Southern California, naturally since we're physically closer to one another than you guys are in Canada, and it's great.
  9. He's always a popular topic on twitter, though. You gotta appreciate that.
  10. I don't believe there is one but I'd guess you'd find one in the jailbreaking community before the actual apple store. It shouldn't be hard to make (emulators exist for all those systems after all), but if nobody is making it, it doesn't quite make itself, lol.
  11. I only know of this source because of Kate's excellent vocal remix of it, but I'd say this certainly holds my interest. You could work on perfecting the sound you're getting with that VST: some things that should sound a little more legato sound unnatural, and I think the dynamics aren't where they should be (I feel things need to be louder in general). I have to hear the source to give you any sort of structural criticism.
  12. with the wonders of motion tracking and photoshop/after effects and a hell of a lot of patience and skill, i see this as happening. I have similar thoughts in my mind about what i'll do for mine.
  13. dude, we're like exactly the same age. idk what that means but happy birthday lol.

  14. yeaaaah, we both have the same birthday! wooo. lol. happy birthday.

  15. wait a sec, in what I believe to be an ASL thread in disguise, you have yet to report your results!
  16. which may be why i believed for a second that I could hear 20, 21 and 22, until I realized they should be higher in frequency, not lower, than the rest. can't blame a deaf man for trying.
  17. I'm pretty sure I can still do that (with CRT tvs)
  18. thanks, i'll just mark my calendar for july and start checking from there. you've saved me a lot of effort, kind sir.

  19. why thank you - to you as well. I suppose I could just sit down and stalk your profile till it says you've turned 20, which would be kinda .. something I would do. but i won't.

  20. 18 in both ears, 19 in my left. can't even hit 20 for my 20th. left is probably better because i've always put my old headset over the right ear. lol. and I think my tinnitus is 15-16
  21. I think the best way to exceed your limits is to push them (so do more crunches/sit-ups, or maybe add resistance with a weight or something to your crunches and do fewer). It just seems contradictory to me otherwise; if you can do 25 of them easy, then do five more and push yourself so that 30 will become easy, then 40, etc.
  22. I'd say negative criticism is very welcome, but it really has to be more constructive (especially when you're of the dissenting opinion) so as to avoid looking like you're just throwing hate around.. I never properly reviewed this! why? here goes. I have a confession. I like the last version more - and it's purely structural and I think I actually criticized it for structure once. BUT, the Sky Ablaze Remix is pretty good. Highlights for me are Melinda's vocals, the falsetto "we'll light up the whole sky just like fire you and me," and pretty much 0:00 ad infinitum with repeat. Very nice. edit: i really appreciate how "happy" is a tag.
  23. what's with the thread necro? McVaffe can't get a new thread every year or what? it's because of the budget cuts isn't it... man, this state and economy are really getting .. wait this isn't California. anyway, happy birthday. good to know you're getting back into the music groove. i think i just killed a potentially fatal pun.
  24. wow, I did feel 20% happier after listening to this, though to be fair at least 4% of that was the OMG A NEW BLIND REMIX factor.
