  1. This is the kind of solo-piano ReMix that damn near makes a person cry. Lots of emotion, terrific playing and superb production quality. Not to mention it's so awesome to hear this kind of source get a solo-piano treatment that seems to add, rather than take away, from the source. Very cool.
  2. Man, this is gorgeous and relaxing. Just such a beautiful track that seems enchanted and peaceful. Wonderful arrangement and a great ReMix from both of you.
  3. Happy birthday OCR! 14 Years and still going strong! Let's have many more years of this amazing community filled with wonderful music!
  4. No freaking joke, it does! If someone told me that this came from a Nintendo game, I probably would have taken it as true. Love the sweet Caribbean party feel of this mix and I can just imagine the Kong clan enjoying a nice get-away with this.
  5. Truly beautiful ReMix. It does feel like a calm, emotional piece that would fit in a castle's ballroom, especially near the end of the second minute. Nicely done.
  6. I love how DJP basically says what we're all thinking. Halc is certainly a main event level ReMixer and his work speaks for itself. Classic halc chippy charm with some sweet instrumentation, I can totally dig it.
  7. Happy birthday, bustatunez! Have a great one!
  8. The beat really pops in that first minute, and it just keeps building from there in a nice downbeat groove. One thing that seems to stand out with a lot of the ReMixes on this album is not only the funkiness and electronica/synth arrangements, but how a lot of them capitalize on proper build up and execution, which as Black_Doom said, helps tell the story of the mix. This one is no exception. Good stuff, dude!
  9. You're welcome! It was an amazing post and I'm glad you were able to get more SF 3rd Strike up on the front page with such a great ReMix.

  10. When I heard dub-step and saw the mix title, I was expecting much different. While I don't hate dubstep to begin with, I have to say that I'm pleasantly surprised with this ReMix. The dub is used nicely in moderation around some "funkilectronica" and it's hard not to groove to this one. Very cool combo and I'm impressed by the balance of rough sounds and funky melody. Sweet as hell!
  11. Good clean electronica with enough switch-ups and varying moves to keep things fairly fresh. I like it being closer to the source while having that arrangement feel. I guess I'm just that kind of fan. Great debut, Portanexus!
  12. Way to go, Beth. Fantastic work with Quartz Quadrant "B" and "G". The progression of this ReMix is simply phenomenal. You made this ReMix really pop out and stand tall over a lot of other ambient tracks I've heard, and a little extra spice from Level 99 always seems to help take things that much further. Great song.
  13. This is so ridiculously fun to listen to. The first time I heard this, I could not think of anything to say, I was laughing too hard. ReMixes like this just make me grin in such a way that it's hard to stop. One of my top picks on this album definitely.
  14. No reviews yet, huh? Well, then, let me kick things off by saying that this really feels and sounds like a ReMix that has a true Sonic spirit to it. Upbeat and charged with energy that glides rather than spins out of control, this is an amazing package. Love the usage of the piano later on. Nice work, man!
  15. Happy birthday, man!
  16. Oh god, that intro, yes! So spooky and creepy, this would indeed fit any Halloween playlist. Definitely would of my favorites off the album and another amazing ReMix by Phonetic Hero. BTW, those laughs at the end.....freaking great!
  17. DJP and SuperiorX were right on the money when they said this had a sweet nightlife feel to it. Very tropical in a chill, static-like energy kind of way, and I gotta give props to the guitar work and ever-varying beat. Slow going outro worked nicely for me and I always have to make a note of clever mix titles. Great debut, man.
  18. Is there any other duo that has smoother funk-esque voices than Begoma and Sir Jordanius? I'd be hard pressed to find'em. Really, smooth is what comes to mind for me with this soul-funk ReMix. Damn good stuff, fellas!
  19. Rabcandy's vocals and Jivemaster's return.....fantastic work between the two of them and a great title track opener I'd say! Sonic boom!
  20. Happy Birthday!!!
  21. Happy Snakeday, Jake!
  22. I.....uh......wow. That image will haunt me for a little bit. But yeah, creepy twerky turkey aside, Happy Thanksgiving day folks!
  23. Actually loved the use of SFX and voice clips to go along with this electronic mix, and while it has a nice grit to the funk in some areas, it makes it sound unique. And kudos for getting not just regular Akuma, but Killing Moon in as well. Great stuff, man.
  24. Dude, amazing production and I'm loving the whole chip-like d'n'b arrangement. Quirky and lots of fun, with a bit of a sneaky edge that fits the Rocket's hideout nicely. Probably one of the better ReMixes from you that I can think of off the bat, but that's just a matter of taste. Cool stuff, TGH.
  25. Oh yeah, one of my favorite ReMixes from BadAss 2. Flexstyle really destroyed (in a good way, of course) the melodies of Top Man and Wily in this song with this dark and rough treatment. The beat goes hard in this one. Well done!
