  1. Totally agree. I can just see this being used in that context and it wouldn't seem out of place at all. So deliciously funky and as far as jazz/funk fusion ReMixes go, this one is a toe-tapping keeper for sure.
  2. Odd little one, this is. Nice to hear something float around while moving the arrangement where it needs to go. The voices popping in adds to the vibe of the ReMix's slightly off feel. Chilling and relaxing, very cool.
  3. Oh, this ReMix is so much fun. Bouncy and carnaval-like, and having those latin instruments sounding really good, it's one of those ReMixes that can get you to smile. I can hear the party/marching direction in this one clearly, and again, it's just a lot of fun to listen to.
  4. Wow, getting the personal thumbs up from one of the composers pretty much says it all on how awesome this ReMix really is. A great melodic piece from a classic game ramped up with some really good acoustic guitar work and more. Damn good ReMix, jmr.
  5. I have to say that I agree that this sounds like a two song set, but since both the first and second half sound amazing, I see no problem here. I enjoyed the second half much more though. It really goes to another level after 5:40, but the entire ensemble was impressive. Loved the female vocalist's voice and I can really roll down the road to this one.
  6. Dude, for one of your first attempts at some electric jazz, this is really good! Production sounds great and the arrangement is hot! Very smooth and glides with the drums. Nice title as well, although bad images are soon to come in the minds of some. Great ReMix.
  7. Freaking love the sonar opening! Can't believe I didn't review this when it came out, but this is a fantastic take on the Sea theme. When it picks up after 1:35, I just get the urge to move around a bit. Wonderful beat with those ambient pops and that sonar going off a few times. This ReMix is happy, and it makes me feel happy. So good!
  8. The sources that were mixed here were tackled alright in my opinion, and the combinations seemed to work out, but I would have to say that the opening is what worked the best with the bells cutting to the metal. The mix had a great arrangement, good energy and you had enough variation to keep things interesting. Good addition to FF7's library of ReMixes.
  9. Hmmm, that was quite the opening! The vocals where great with the robotic make-over, but they're a bit hard to hear because of the music and the way they're done. Not bashing them because I loved the idea and use, but I'm thankful for the lyrics tab at times. Other than that, very exciting and the kick up to dubstep was pretty cool. Great stuff here, fellas!
  10. Really is one of those peaceful, tranquil ReMixes that gets the tone right from the piano. You can feel like your floating in the breeze or resting in the sky with this one. Very nicely done.
  11. Well, when you took on The Extreme, you nailed it down pretty good. I can say that I enjoyed this ReMix and I won't dwell on the little minor things others already picked out. Since fade outs don't bug me all that much, it didn't do so here. Not bad.
  12. Three guitars playing a simple strength of three, with three sources.......this screams triforce in the best of ways, which is a charming idea carried out very well. So relaxing and calming, and the combination of the three different kinds of guitars was fun to hear. Totally diggin' the creativity here.
  13. As much as I hated Sandopolis Zone, I've always loved the music of it, and hearing a hard, dark and gritty ReMix of it is amazing to me. I, myself, have grown to like dubstep, but I like it better when used a less obnoxious way like this is. To me, this is the perfect example of balancing melodic rock and dubstep, so well done.
  14. melody works a piano like no one's business, and it shows even more on this beautifully chill hip-hoppish ReMix. Loved the little sound clips added in relation to the music here. Genius.
  15. Oh, dude, the atmosphere of this ReMix is just completely wonderful! Sounds very airy and natural, so good for chilling out and focusing on work or just drifting off.
  16. Probably one of my favorite ilp0 ReMixes. Has a bit of weirdness to it at times, but shifting between lighter and darker made it work. Good to see a ReMix that varies itself in a way that reaches both sides of the field.
  17. Whoa, lots of blasts from the pasts coming up through here. And a great return ReMix to come back on, with this high energy rockin' chiptune song. Very nice. Drums got to me at first, but then they sorta found their place as the ReMix went on. Lots of positives, hardly any negatives. Cool stuff.
  18. Sixto can do no wrong when it comes to shredding it up with some heavy guitars and great sounding drums. Now this is a final battle theme if I've ever heard one! Great slowdown and amazing work overall.
  19. 1. Ludwig von Koopa (Mario) 2. Arthur (Ghosts'n Goblins) 3. Mike Hagger (Final Fight)
  20. So DJP said anime outro feeling, and after hearing this one, I would have to agree with that. Peppy and lively, with a nice, light beat underneath the the melody. OA does a fantastic job with these kinds of upbeat ReMixes and you just feel warm after listen to ReMixes like this one. Awesome.
  21. Jenny's flute playing is incredible in this ReMix! What a beautiful sound that comes from the acoustic guitar and flute combination. Very emotional and lovely. I really liked this one.
  22. Whenever I hear the game over or password tunes from Mega Man 3, I can't help but think of Brentalfloss's bit, but this is a stand out ReMix on it's own. It's the kind of melody that can give you quite the pick up for the rest of the day. Very good.
  23. So, true story, my little nieces have just gotten into video games because they wanted to play after watching me do it. Wanting to give them an easy start, I let them play Kirby together and they love it. So then I showed them some of the ReMix album tunes afterwards and they both loved that as well. Their favorite song from the album? This one. Halc always does a great job with light, happy chippy tunes, so Bubbly Clouds was great fit. Again, I have to praise the use of SFX in the track, which a lot of ReMixes on this album did well Wonderful stuff.
  24. One of the most complete ReMixes I've heard in a while. Everything has it's place in this arrangement as a plus and I heard nothing wrong in the production either. Great use of vocoded vocals. Loved the combination of metal and electronic elements. Kickass debut, Brent.
  25. Ahh, this is absolutely elegant. Just simply gorgeous. You pull in four great ReMixers, and you know you're going to get an amazing ReMix like this. Good job, fellas.
