  1. My thinking is that this is just enough of a ReMix to avoid being a straight up melody, and while there were a few times where I wasn't sure about that particular section, overall I feel like this worked with the rocking direction you took it in. A lot more hits in my opinion than anything that might be labeled a miss, so not bad at all on my end.
  2. I don't really care what anyone says, this ReMix put a smile on my face just from the idea. Funky fresh hip hop beats made from and in addition to Crash Man's theme was great, and the Woo! Yeah! samples fit right in. A little short and most likely could be expanded/evolved today, but for when it was made and what the idea is, I like it.
  3. Absolutely love the Megas ReMixes and work in general. The lyrics fit Air Man so well, puns and all. This type of rocking arrangement is great for this source and the overall arrangement for this ReMix is damn near perfect. I've listened to both versions of this, but either way, Air Man gets justice with this song. Awesome stuff.
  4. Best boss battle ReMix on the album in my opinion. Then again, I might be biased because I liked the Arich battle theme more than the others to begin with. I always wondered why Arich had his own boss theme but K. Rool had the regular theme in the DKC3 GBA game. Also, I would have loved to have seen a bonus fight between Arich and Squitter like in the album picture. Anyway, the driving force of this song really gets you pumped and you can just hear the battle rage on. I like how the melody would carry on in a smaller tone during the breakdown periods. Cheers to Paul Capps for adding in the guitar work.
  5. Entertaining as hell, and I love the contrast between the electronic area and the piano section. There was a point in the middle where it seemed to drag a hair, but it didn't bug me that much and it was a nice set up for the end. Great combination of three themes to make a nice ReMix.
  6. This is a full-on night time party that you can dance and bop to all night long if I ever heard one. Nothing tragic about Heat Man's drowning when you combine his and Bubbleman's themes so excellently. The beat goes hard and I'm loving this.
  7. The ambient atmosphere of this ReMix is so calmingly beautiful. I could relax to this all day or put it on in the background for moments when I need to focus. The length makes it perfect for that, so you don't have to keep hitting replay every two minutes. Nice debut with two great themes.
  8. Pure metal carnage. So deliciously intense. Game Over has often impressed me, but I have had much of a chance to express how much I love their work, especially this song. Even with the later changes, this is another great rocking ReMix that shows the constant quality of their work. Loved the transition to the boss theme and adding in the boss intro jingle.
  9. Glitchy like a computer on a bad trip and crunchy like a tasty chip. If there was ever a malfunction that sounded good and bad at the same time and averaging out to a fantastic ReMix, this would be it. Mazedude did good here.
  10. Double the Happy! Double the Birthday!
  11. I love Cutman's theme on just about everything, be it a rocking stage, techno beat, whatever. But the melody of Cutman just seems right at home in this sonata right here. McVaffe brings out the emotion tenfold on this one. Very cool.
  12. Oh, man, that violin sounds gorgeous. Whole thing really fits the relaxing thinking atmosphere a puzzle game needs. The modulations and glitchy beats kept things fresh and fun to listen to, and I dig the vocals as well. Beautiful ReMix you have here fellas.
  13. ReMix title kinda wrote itself, didn't it? I'm loving the loungey low-fi jazz here, and it's so nice and chill, at least for the first minute. Then you go and kick it into high gear that kinda reminds me more of low-fi jungle jazz rather than smooth lounge. Great transition there. Sweet ReMix halc.
  14. Really got into this one after the introduction set in and moved on about a minute and a half in. The cinematic elements and electronic bits worked well together here. This is some great orchestration. Bass ending was a nice touch.
  15. I don't really care how many times a source gets ReMixed as long as each one has something to offer, and this one certainly as an old school gameboy sound to it at various points, especially after 3:05, which was interesting. I actually like that it uses a little bit of the melody while making the beat more present. It's a nice, new way to hear Ice Cap. Great ending on here as well.
  16. Cyril's voice really fits the arrangement here, especially the harmonization and "never stop" growls at points. Great guitar work, the percussion is awesome, I loved the little falsetto yell at the end and the production sounds solid. Honestly, this is grade A stuff. So good to see a quality Mega Man Zero ReMix hit the front page. Great work Cyril!
  17. Kinda short and at some points you can hear it's age, but all in all I actually liked this one. I'm going to have to agree, DJP was the closest to describing the underwater duck sounds of it, and while certain themes didn't blend or stick out as well as others, I don't think this is bad at all. Mario's voice sounds were a great addition in this one. Nice stuff.
  18. Whoa.....haha, now that's cool. I never expected an A Capella song to show up here on the site (not the first thing that comes to my mind in arrangements), but now that it has, it's got to be one of the best one's to introduce it. Fantastic voices and I'm totally digging the male/female vocal exchange. Very nice.
  19. Haha, yes! Southern Celtic Punk, it's so good here! Nothing better than a good ol'jam with Crash in a way that is reminiscent of Flogging Molly. Arrangement is very colorful and fun, and there is almost nothing I love more than a fun ReMix. I may have missed out on playing Crash Bandicoot, but at least the music is getting some good love. Nicely done you two.
  20. It's like going through a dead quiet factory and only hearing the clanging of pipes, tins and other assorted metals for most of the song at the beginning. When I read that this would be a very percussion heavy atmospheric ReMix, I was a tad concerned of how this would keep me into it for the whole song, but you managed to maintain enough spookiness and lay down a cool enough beat to keep it interesting the whole time. That is no easy feat for any ReMix of this kind. The longer it went on, the more the elements came together like magic and it sounds great. Well done, solid debut.
  21. You have the OneUps. You have the Zelda theme. You know that you're going to get quality and an amazing ReMix. All that is left to do I lay back and enjoy the smooth groove of it all. Thumbs up, fellas.
  22. Sound effects and chip tune together in a tasty little mix. Lots of energy going, which makes this a fun track to listen to, and the way the sound effects help the ReMix along is brilliant. Not bad at all.
  23. Damn, those strings! I really have to praise how amazing the instruments sound in this arrangement. Perfect epic/impending adventure feeling for a ReMix of a volcano area, especially with some of the crackling and bubble flow I heard underneath it all. Loved how everything settled down near the end and came to a peaceful area with the birds. Now that's a motion inside a song.
