  1. Awesome video! A little pixelated, but who cares about that when you can make a music video on a ReMix. Cool job.
  2. You're talking about Cascade Capers (Waterfall) and Lakeside Limbo (Stilt Village). Some of the songs on the GBA soundtrack had different names from the SNES. So, with that said, I can assure you that Emunator didn't leave those great themes out. Good catch, though.
  3. Happy B-day, Meteo! And I get to say the same for myself tomorrow! Muhahaha!
  4. Well, yeah, I didn't mean any clueless no-skill fan. I meant people who are good at what you said (like actually making movies, writing, etc.) knowing enough about the series or game to make something decent and maybe having some prior experience with the game. I'm just saying that if they know what it's about, they'll hopefully avoid another SMB and SF2.
  5. I think it takes a fan and creative script writers to make ANY game movie, seeing as how most of them done by people who aren't fans suck. I'd like to see Mega Man X or Zero done with a Movie. Anyone remember that anime thing that came with the remake of MMX? If they did something like that, it might work. In all seriousness, almost anything could work if you know what you are doing.
  6. I love the idea, and that "reward/stop people from lying" idea is pretty cool too. So if it happens, I'm in (if I have the game we start on, that is.)
  7. Hurray for Emunator! This is awesome! *Clap Clap Clap-Clap-Clap*. I'm on the side-lines with Slippa and co. I don't know the first thing about ReMixing, so good luck to the talented folk!
  8. The beginning with the screeching eagle was the perfect way to start off this ReMix. I don't mind the fact that this is a bit slower than normal, as the guitars shredding out through it is done really well. The only problem I have is that the real slow part at the end seems to come up out of nowhere, like their is little to no transition.
  9. Beautiful. Really hooked me with this one, Patrick. I'm a sucker for sea shanty-like beats and celtic vibes, and the flute brought it all together. I really think you got the overall feeling of a ship sailing the open waves. A nice light tune to end the flood. Well done, me matey!
  10. Oh man, this is just too sweet! Taucer, Hale-bopp and Jose the Bronx Rican doing a remix on the Mine theme of DKC2!? That's what got me hyped for the album, but when I heard the early verison on DoD, I couldn't get any more excited. I really don't understand people who back away from a vocal remix without giving it a listen, but I love the lyrics and tone of the whole song. I really don't have any complaints about this ReMix, and I'm thinking this made the Top Ten List for me.
  11. Cool. I always liked Protricity's ReMix, but this takes it in a pretty cool direction. Jazzy and more "Jungley". Is it wrong for me to say that some parts remind me of those "Local on the 8's" themes on the Weather Channel, but in a good way? It's soothing and relaxing, I love it. Kinda funny how this theme annoyed me to no end when I tried to get through the Lost World, but this is so chill.
  12. Great music heals all wounds, and this is more than great, it's absolutely astonishing! (Ha, you thought I was going to say amazing, didn't you?) Virt did really well with this ReMix, and I always thought this song had Trance written all over it, but I never realized how much of an upgrade it would have been. Now the climax isn't the only thing I can listen to, as the trance beats give the lower sections their own spotlight. Nice!
  13. Only four songs in, and this is probably going to be one of my top three favorite songs on this album! I mean, come on, I've waited for this track ever since I saw the ReMixers doing it! Nicole and Injury, the amazing girls that did my favorite OCR song Permutation doing another DKC song with Tepid's work and Ault's sweet vocals added. It's a good day, indeed! I never imagined this as a vocal song, but the justice brought onto it was so better than I would have thought. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised to hear it on the radio, because the music and lyrics flow so well. Much ReSpect to the ReMixers of this project.
  14. I never thought I'd say it, but Fishy beat Prot's verison! If this is a trend of what the album is like, the Prot. tracks I downloaded will have some company. Fishy made this beautiful theme rock with a smooth as hell guitar. This really is a gift and with that, on to the next amazing song!
  15. Nicely done, DJP, I knew you could do it. Tuba and Basson FTW! You really did have that Elfman thing going in the intro, but no one works an electro-ocra. ReMix like you. It is an epic way to begin the DKC2 album (in numbers) and while you may have taken the year off to get the site and this mix in top form, I think this is your year! Go DJP!
  16. Dave Wise, Grant and Beanland all on one OCR track as the #2000 ReMix that started the release of the DKC2 album.......*WWWHHHHHOOOOOOTTTTTTT!!!!!!* Seriously though, this a great track. Dave took a track he did around 15 years ago and molded it into a proud 2010 beast of music! The horns were great, the track easily flowed and I actually find this better than the original because it seems.....em......I don't know if this is the right word, fresher or crisper. Either way, amazing work and congrats to these VGM masters and the OCR crew! See you all at #3000!
  17. DJP- "However, the Divers still managed to construct something original, catchy, and destined to invoke the wrath of those who hold even the quirky Chocobo theme sacrosanct and/or hate rapping of any kind and/or dislike the notion of an amusing track on an FF4 album, because all Final Fantasy must be serious business at all times." Wow, is just too funny. I think DJP saw this comment coming. In fact, I'm wondering if you really feel this way or just humoring DJP's comment, because it's way too close to his "too serious" remark. That being said, I liked it. The lyrics were corny and obviously a parody (although I thought Shiva's part was pretty hot, no pun). I agree that the lyrics could have been tighter, but this is more than I'd expect. The beat was done well with the original theme and I liked the fact that it kept the same weirdness of the original (and probably made it weirder). Yeah, this is probably one of the best themes on the album.
  18. Wow, I wasn't expecting that at all. This is pretty good, and I think if you add more length to the song as well as build on it a bit (more meat, cresendos possibly, etc.) then it would be amazing. Sounds like you just need to flesh it out, but I like what you have so far.
  19. Better music, better gameplay, better storyline (kinda), better levels and more interesting end bosses. Aside from the graphics (I think they were the same), it was better than DKC1 IMO.
  20. *Plays DKC2 level complete Fanfare* Oh yeah!!!!!!! Awesome work, guys!
  21. Or hilarious, depending on which meds. Hope your ankle heals fast, Taucer!
  22. Listen to what I say, Cause I came to play Donkey Kong 2 is on the way And March 15 is the magical day! Like the sun and it's burnin' ray I've been waiting for this since last May. So light that fire down by the bay cause it's time for a DKC par-TAY!
  23. I'll be chewing some crocodile tail with banana-nut muffins, but I'll be there!.
  24. Just might be my favorite episode. I'm looking forward to all four fo those projects!
