  1. I'm no expert on metal, but I do enjoy it every once in a while. How about this? Is it close enough to quell your hunger for now? Again, I don't know metal, but this track is awesome.
  2. The whole combined stage thing... isn't pretty. The Patapon in the background do not match the rest of the stage. I'm not too sure about the batte system from what I've read. I don't know. It seems like a fail.... I wouldn't mind if it was good, but this looks like it's going the other way. I think I'll stick to Super Smash Bros., and my Sony games can stay separate for now
  3. Good choice. I just watched Skip Beat for the first time. Hilarious.
  4. The Megaman Zero series is awesome. I think it has a nice difficulty, and very satisfying once you beat it (The story's awesome, made me tear up more than a few times). I had the hardest time back in middle school before (first played 2); I'd die at least a dozen times before beating a level for the first time. The main advice I have is use your saber a lot; you can actually triple slash bosses if you do it correctly. The games get frustrating is when you start hard mode and/or go for good grades (A/S). I was trying for A's on all of them throughout, but then I got to the last areas in each.... Fighting eight bosses in a row tends to smash your hopes. I don't think that's true. The first fire area boss is a major pain to me.... I'd say 2 comes off as easiest, with 1 being the hardest. On a side note, I killed my L-button playing these. It's a huge concern if you spam dash like I do (I wonder if I hit the button too hard; I don't think I do...). I set it up online to send in for repairs a while ago, but I haven't shipped it out yet. I hope it's not too late.... More on topic, The level gap with FFIV between the map and last dungeon is astounding. D: I went and got the summon on the moon, too. I guess I should just grind and deal with it.... Well, I guess this really isn't that much more on topic. Jet Force Gemini had an amazingly frustrating part with koala things where you had to find and save them all. Practically needed a guide. Good thing you can kill them, too. >
  5. I grew up playing old DOS games, NES, and SNES. I absolutely loved Super Metroid. Then one of my older brothers brought home a Nintendo 64. Super Mario 64 blew my mind. When we got a GC (we being my triplet bro and sis, plus me), It was great. It was the one with The Legend of Zelda Anniversary disc. I also received a Game Boy Player (an amazing example of cross-platform), and we also received an Altec Lansing set of speakers. Another absolutely amazing moment was the commercial for Kingdom Hearts. The video plus the music was amazing. Goosebumps and sheer wonder. Too bad I didn't own a PS2 until... '06? This was what really opened my eyes to the next level of graphics in videogames.
  6. I found it changed if you used a and d to move left/right versus the arrow keys. Also, does the mouse lock up when moving for anyone else? I was using a touchpad, so I'm not sure. As the gameplay feels right now, I'm not sure about the game. Once you get a slightly newer version of this type, you should re-show it to us, please. I just feel I shouldn't make a total judgement yet until it's more fleshed out. I don't really feel the story as-is either with the game. The levels seem more of a reach the exit thing with nothing to do with the story
  7. I'd watch the HUD. It's jittery on mine as the screen moves. I'd suggest trying to do another static layer on top of everything with the HUD on it if possible. Just a suggestion.
  8. Good Question.... Edit: It wasn't much, but I donated. Might as well pay now.
  9. Nice. It's getting a lot better. There are a few things that didn't quite work to me: - The lower synth at the start of each measure about 0:56 feels a bit muddy or boomy to me (not quite sure of the difference). Someone please tell me if that's just me. If it isn't, then if you could - The new section falls a bit flat for me due to the first note change in the second measure of it. I'd recommend adding in the higher note that's normally in that melody line over the top of what you've got and see how it sounds. As it is, though, it just feels somewhat uninteresting, even though it is fairly good. I also feel that the melody doesn't come out enough from the rest. - Try just having the melody in the first two measures of the new section. I thing it might help with the buildup, maybe not. Like with what you have now at the voice, "I am ERROR," (pretty awesome, by the way) it might do it good to have some extra space to start with.
  10. I missed it. D: I used to come home from school and watch it. I was too young to stay up and watch, though. :/ Edit: It also had nice breaks like these: http://youtu.be/TfadJj4d5K4 Why we loved Toonami: It was awesome (until they started messing it up, of course).
  11. I'm feeling a growing hatred for Facebook. I hope the whole "50,000 likes" is an April Fool's joke. Just set a release date, please. The album preview is great, though. I do look forward to listening to this. I hear a lot of great metal (I don't generally listen to much of it, either ).
  12. Hmmm, It didn't feel as good to me as most of the other albums on this site to me. It felt almost empty on some of it for me, even. I don't know why. There are some great tracks on it, though. I look forward to the next album.
  13. Couldn't have said it better myself. I've also noticed everyone on here tends to handle arguments and criticism much better than a lot of other forums. It's not some "lol, you're stupid, go off a cliff," sort of site. It's more civilized than that, and focuses more on the subject than tearing people into bits. There are disagreements, but they are much more geared to bettering than worsening. Bah, ignore all I said. Nice, friendly people.
  14. Man, I love a good anime OP/ED. One of the best parts of the Mono/Nisegatari series are those. The endings I really liked, as they were sort of a fresh way of doing them, scratchy pencil lines and all. Any other good ones? Let's see... Samurai Champloo, Ao No Exorcist, and Kyouran Kazoku Nikki come to mind (the last one's a bit odd, but I liked the OP a lot for some reason. I thought the series was hilarious. ).
  15. Hmmmm.... It's good to see this being discussed, though. Hopefully we'll see more chiptune remixes being submitted after this. It sounds like some things have been no'ed that were actually pretty good, and that sort of threw what people perceived was acceptable for submission. I really like a lot of the music linked, by the way. If I were a moderator, I'd close the thread; otherwise it will continue receiving comments(just like this one ). It looks like all that needs to be said has been said, and it's up to the judges, djp and the moderators need to just figure out if any action needs to be taken or what.
  16. Personally, I think that if people are interested in what OCR has, they'll find out about it themselves. A campaign on facebook may get you "likes," but I don't think it will help the image of OCR at all. Well, I am looking forward to the album. Edit: I know what it reminds me of: those annoying youtubers that are like, "suscribe to my channel, lol!"
  17. Sorry, but I don't think I've seen much mention of cupcakes. Bye, and good luck.
  18. Would you mind a flash game suggestion? I got the Tower of Heaven soundtrack from the game music bundle, and there are a few on it that might be good.
