I can say its been a great month for Halc. Not only did the Sound of Speed come out, but he was made a judge.

I like it! The transition from the intro to the main beat seemed a bit off for me. I would recommend an additional measure of the intro for good...well...measure. And yes it does seem a little repetitive in the beginning, but as the song flows along, the repetition becomes less notable.

Someone call a plumber, cause this shit just got dirty. Nice track! Oh and the "Hey, Listen" was a nice add!

Does anyone else think the video Wacky posted was made by an amateur video maker who just got an effects pack?

I'm a bit mixed on this one. On one hand it's easy and convenient to keep track of ongoing competitions under a single sub-forum, without being drowned out under the Community thread. On the other hand, I rarely pay attention to the sub-forum myself, but that's cause I can't really do much music wise at the moment.

I think we could support both 4:3 and 16:9, whichever is better for the user. Also, I think it would be best if there were multiple winners. All I am waiting for is webadmin feedback.

...So have we decided on a format for the wallpaper? Also, is OCR willing to host the images of the winner(s) and/or provide the link to them?

I kind of see it, but I don't think there is too much of a connection.

Some of us may have differing opinions about the ending songs of the two games. I think they are both equal in quality, maybe the second one being more of a broad song and the first being specific to Portal. I think the surge in popularity in the first one was due to the fact that such an ending song was not done before. There is usually a random pointless song or the main theme in an epic form at the end. Yet Portal was odd in that up until the end there was no "music" until the credits. Also, it hasn't been mentioned, but please don't spoil the game for me. I will return to my Xbox in about 2 weeks, and I will definitely get it the first day I come back.

Nice song. Instruments are okay. I found that the song didn't deviate from the source too much. Try to change the main jingle every once in a while.

I would like for there to be an Overclocked Remix Wallpaper or Screensaver. That might help promote the website. There could even be a competition for it. What do you guys and gals think?

I don't know why this is a trend in hip hop, but you really shouldn't have the vocals mentioning you or your website, unless it fits your song (Duane and Brando did a great job with the name drops). That's just me... Good beat. I can't wait to hear the vocals for it.

Reason #2 OCR is awesome: Actual VG artists comment here. Do you think that ever since this remix, people's interest in the game (or even game system) has spiked? EDIT: Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that Zircon you are awesome for making this mix!

I hope Danny B is prepared for a flood of money for his work on SMB! Personally, I'll wait until I get home to play the game on the 360. But I am getting it, even at full price.

I don't care if they are making a new HD system. What counts is that the majority of the games available aren't shovelware.
