  1. Bare Knuckle Blitz by WillRock. I am never tired with that song.
  2. Short answer: Yes. Long Answer: Make Sonic remixes anyways.
  3. It's an issue regarding free speech. Hateful speech is protected under the US Constitution until it explicitly encourages a violation of law (don't know about other countries, but I think it's the same). Misogyny and hate cannot be regulated by the police, so it's up to the service provider to provide a safe playing environment. Only when players frequently harass or stalk other players to the point of breaking laws (i.e. frequent death threats) will police intervene, and by that point the offending player is usually banned or blocked. If anyone wants to discuss this further, I suggest making a new thread about it. Don't want to ruin the EC thread!
  4. I am in total agreement with the EC guys (and Allison). They stated in one of their first episodes that we need to crackdown on gamers that ruin our reputation. You agree (mostly unknowingly) when joining XBOX Live or any other service to treat other players with respect, or face the ban-hammer. Companies should use that power more liberally.
  5. Yay midnight reviews! BTW I'm assuming this is for submission on OCR. Kudos on taking on Zero's Theme from X3. By far the best song in the whole game IMO. Your song is decent, but there is a LOT of room for improvement. Especially if you want this to be posted to OCR. I'm assuming the bleps and blips in the first 2 seconds are your trademark. That's cool, except that it's incredibly jarring to hear that followed by guitar riffs. Definitely remove it in the final version. To start, this song can be classified as metal, but it feels way empty. This is due to arrangement and production problems. I can identify two lead guitars, with one that focuses on the main theme, and the other to provide overall background noise. That first guitar needs more of a boost, with the second and bass guitar on its side. If you can, work on your mixing so that all instruments work in unison, and not overpower each other. As for the drums, I will say that it's satisfying to hear percussion that is they are neither too prominent or too soft. This is a rarity on these forums. Yet they are also somewhat repetitive, with very little overall variation (the judges are very picky on that issue). It's not as huge of an issue as much as the other things I've mentioned, but take a second look at them. I would love to see a revision of this. The last person to tackle this source was DarkeSword, and that was FAR too long ago. KEEP IT UP! I would also like for a more professional review of this track.
  6. There are no Emerald Hill remixes? WHAT? Rexy, I'm officially rooting for you. Emerald Hill deserves so much OCR love!
  7. I have an idea to pass the time! Can we get some preview tracks of everyone's zone? EDIT: SuperiorX, if you make me a Panic Pancake sig, I will sing your glories and wear it with honor!
  8. I'm assuming you mean like fast pace African tribal music? Documentaries about Africa are a good source of this type of music. I saw one recently about the evolution of humans in the environment.
  9. Still have yet to meet you, even though we live in the same area. Happy Birthday!
  10. Today just got five times better! More free music! I'll post here after listening to it.
  11. You mean these guys? http://sonic.wikia.com/wiki/Newtron
  12. Subbed. I need to know this in the future!
  13. I JUST found out that if you draw while holding the Z button it should draw a straight line. EDIT: Thank you, rBrn!
  14. One year later... Is there a Mac friendly version of Chipamp? There's only a .exe version.
  15. Do you know if there was any significant difference between the GBA Battle Network 5 games and the DS Double Team game? And yes, while I LOVE the Mega Man Battle Network (MMBN) series to death, MMBN5 was my least favorite/most frustrating of the franchise. It just felt so slow, the battles were not as fun, and when you lose MegaMan to get ProtoMan/Colonel for one section could have been executed better. Speaking of frustrating games, MMBN4 Red Sun/Blue Moon is really slow in the first half of the game (especially if you lose your save file accidentally), but it picks up a little more after you can travel to other countries. I'm playing MMBN6 Cybeast Gregar on an emulator, and that game thus far is SO much better than 4 and 5. Music is borderline-good, but the gameplay is excellent.
  16. My thoughts on this compo:
  17. Really? I could never get past that fucking lava level! I may have beaten a total of 2 bosses (excluding the intro boss) in my lifetime in that game. EDIT: Also, Advent Rising. It was fun (with an amazing soundtrack), but glitched out and monotonous. I literally was stuck at one save point and could not progress further.
  18. For me, the Megaman Zero Series has been overwhelmingly difficult, with Zero 3 in particular causing a massive amount of frustration.
  19. I played the PC version of Sonic 3D Blast, and Rusty Ruins is the same on both the PC and Saturn. PC may have slightly better quality, but that might also be YouTube. PC/Saturn: Genesis: Fun Fact: the PC version skips the intro completely, as well as the prologue with Dr. Robotnik, so I had no idea what the hell I was doing.
  20. Sonic Colors (in 'merica) has a great soundtrack in general. I love almost every stage music. The main theme though is forgettable IMO, at least in comparison to Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2, and *shivers* Sonic '06. I am so excited for this compo you have no idea! Thank you SuperiorX for breaking the Capcom monopoly.
  21. Are you sure you want to do this? Listen live at http://www.8bitx.com/ at 7 PM EST. Chat is on irc.mibbit.com #8bitxchat. EDIT: Also, tell Will to update his other shows on the RSS feed. He updates less than OCAD, and that's saying something.
  22. Voted! /10char
  23. Happy Birthday, Coop! Always enjoy your sigs!
