  1. Cheers for that bud . For now, here are my robotmaster selections: 1.Slashman 2.Tomahawkman 3.knightman 4.Strikeman 5.Burstman I'll get messaging. Also feel free to PM me
  2. I don't know too many people round here and so if you would like me on your team please let me know. I'll sort out my robot masters asap. Had a brief read through the thread but I'll be on later to read through more thoroughly, so anyone without team-mates know that I'm happy to be on your team
  3. OMG, just WOW! I'm just listening to this on laptop speakers and the synth/guitar rockin' is blowing me away. I'm very excited to listen to this some more. What I love about this more than the production is the perfect balance between the guitars and the synthesizers. Defintely one of my fave mixes on the site! I'm not familiar with the source but this is definitely enjoyable for those that aren't.
  4. Really nice dude. Can definitely see where the inspiration is from hehe. Lovin' the chilled vibe!
  5. This project is such a brilliant idea I would like to put forward the Probotector, or if you weren't in Europe, Contra series. - This is the same music as on the NES version but I dunno, I think its ever so slightly better I will send samples of my remix-age to see if you think I am able
  6. I'm not that familiar with the MM games but you guys have pointed out two amazing tunes. This tune is now on my "to-do" list. I don't know how long it'll take me but I'll make sure you're the first to know when its done
  7. Cheers for the feedback bud It is as always appreciated. I'll definitely be working on what you said. I'm still experimenting and finding/making the synth sounds I like. There are a handful I've now tweaked or made to my liking but do you think I need to be less diverse in the sounds I use? Or are there just some which you think don't fit? Regardless of what the panel say, I'm always open to hearing crits as it helps give me direction on how I may be able to improve them
  8. This is really good stuff bud. I've had such a stressful weekend and your mix has soothed my soul =) Your hard work shines through on this and once Sabrina's vocals are added, it'll be the cherry on top! Oh, and a warm welcome to the forums Sabrina!
  9. I agree with you there. I was really wanting to have something like a violin. I may have an experiment with some synth strings. Definitely going to be extending it. At the moment I'm toying with the idea of extending the slow section at the start but I'll see how it goes. Thanks a lot for the feedback
  10. I'm liking the COD tune. It's gonna be a challenge but I imagine it'll be lots o' fun
  11. So, its been a while since I've posted anything here but here we go anywho: Source: Final Version I entered this into the PRC competition. I did it in two days, hence it being a little short. I'm happy with the feel and the style. It would just like to extend it and give it some polish. In general I've basically been trying to make my music more human and like a performance. I've addressed this somewhat by playing the leads and some of the accompaniments. This is a WIP so things I will be changing: - The guitar lead will be re-recorded as there is a little slip-up - The Hi-hat needs refining in both sequencing and mixing. - Bass drum sequencing needs tweaking. - Crash cymbals need a bit more mixing attention - Ending needs percussion/drums adding Any feedback is welcome. Even if its just to say that it sounds like its heading in the right direction. Enjoy (hopefully)
  12. I know dude, I can see that this will be amazing Its always good to experiment with stuff I'm excited for the next update
  13. It is indeed beautiful as I knew it would be. I'm not gonna lie, though, I prefer the non-processed vocals. They fit better and don't get blurred with the accompaniment like with the processed version. I know its a WIP so you will be doing more to this, but I just reckon you should be very subtle with the effects on her voice. The intonation also sounds more accurate without the processing. So yeah, in a nutshell: I love the atomosphere and arrangement but I think you need to just be careful with how you process the vocals.
  14. OO this is so exciting. I love Tyrian, and for that reason alone I am going to enter this comp. I'm not sure what level the mix will be with 2 days to do it in, but damn, I just wanna have some fun!!! Edit: I've read up a few PRC threads and besides the 6mb limit are there any other limits/rules I should know with regard to length/arrangment?
  15. Always glad to help hehe Basically start with a lower volume on the lead and bring it up gradually over that section. Don't worry about filtering, I just thought I heard a bit of it going on with your bass. If you wanna know more about filtering/what it can be used for: http://www.audiomulch.com/blog/southpole-expedition-part-1-low-pass-filter-basics It talks specifically about a plug-in called Southpole but the concept is the same for other (low-pass) filters. An example to perhaps give you some inspiration: http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02064/ - I'm not saying it is exactly the same style, but there is a lot going on and a lot elements production and arrangement-wise that could be applied to your remix (used an OCremix as it seems appropriate). I hope that's a bit clearer and of help
  16. From what I remember of the previous WIP this is seeming more cohesive. I just want to hear more development of the structure and arrangement. I think at 00:42 you could do with emphasising the build/crescendo by lowering the lead line and bringing it up as you get to 00:56 or, you could add low pass-filter and sweep up with the bass. In general, you could make more of the dynamic differences between parts. Even for the style, I think its a bit too static. The break down might have more impact if there is no bass and gradually introduced a bit later. Good vibe, but I want to hear what you're gonna do next(which is a good thing)
  17. I just want to say thank you for the amazing post! I've been experimenting with the plugins and been getting nice, natural results. You beat me to posting the LePou plugins. I found this tutorial whilst trying to learn a bit more about guitar tones: http://audio.tutsplus.com/tutorials/production/using-guitar-amp-simulators-101-part-1/ It goes from a very basic level but goes through some tone shaping. Definitely informative if you are starting out with amp simulators and want to know what each of the parameters does. It focuses on Guitar Rig, but I think it provides some useful info in general on guitar amp sims. In the third tutorial it shows some stuff on using 3rd party impulses. If you think its any good, whack it on the opening post
  18. Its got a really nice ambience. I'm going to have to check the game out now after hearing this The introduction almost make me want to hear some lead acoustic guitar on here, but I'm really loving the electric lead. Very smooth and expressive.
  19. You definitely got style/production nailed for a punk tune. I think adding anything to it would take away from the style you got going. It would be really cool to turn it into a vocal track, but its good as it is. I do think the drums could use a little more attention but in honesty, its great stuff and I enjoyed it.
  20. I got all excited thinking someone else was gonna be remixing some Tyrian tunes. Looks like I'll be on me tod for a bit longer. Be sure that I'll be posting my WIP in the near future and wanting feedback
  21. I love this remix. Put simply, it rocks! Sixto wanted capture that anime-intro feel, and he definitely achieved it!
  22. Yeah, much like Alex this probably isnt the most helpful but I'm enjoying this and its only a WIP. The acoustic is sounds lush and I'm loving the chilled feel. It will be interesting to see where this goes with others contributing. I can imagine some sweeping strings in the background to add cheesiness haha
  23. This is just amazing, I'm listening and I can't help but grin from ear to ear! Fantastic, funky and down right boogie-a-licious!
  24. Haha, ok bud. I will say though that even though Gerudo has been done a few times on OCR, mashing it up like this will keep it fresh. I'm looking forward to seeing it once Sabrina's vocals are in there, not that yours aren't hauntingly beautiful
