  1. Rrrrrrrgh now I just gotta now who I'm up against!!! I hope it's not in the order presented in the OP I don't want to go against Main Finger yet Oh god
  2. So I got the game to work, and I became a level 4 Wizard named PixelPanic until the server was terminated (I was almost at Leoric, but I wasn't quite as close as you). The combat is pretty meh-level stuff. The wizards don't have much customization besides which of the three spells you have do you want you use. I don't really get the UI, if I KNOW the spells, and I am capable of switching at any point in combat, why restrict me to 2 slots when starting out. I guess it's for the different kind of spells, but if I need a certain spell for a certain group of enemies, I shouldn't have to micromanage for 30 seconds. Also, playing a wizard is pretty much playing Magicka, but with less spell options and easier. This is why they should have an open beta, not for server tests, but for public response BEFORE you're game ready to go out the gate so we don't have dumb gameplay. Maybe it's just nerfed for the pre-release time, but frankly, I am minimally impressed. The reason I am only minimally impressed is because of the aesthetic and the music. Beautiful, both of them. I think having the first dungeon in a cathedral is a brilliant idea to show off design and visuals. Good job. But the combat is too overwhelmingly bland. I was playing with one hand for the entire time, the other hand on my lap until I needed a potion. Also, do Wizards get any special weapons? I have played about 45 minutes and it seems like I have only gotten shitty axes and bows I have no arrows for (I just keep hitting them with the bow, like some kind of caveman). I know wands are things, because I started out with one! Where they at??? But one thing has held on to my attention is a question floating in my head while playing: Is this really the masterpiece people have been waiting for?
  3. At 1:11, where I suppose there's supposed to be a drop feels like the song just gave up; Add something to give it some power. The lead is loud and blocks out any of the backing stuff, so I suggest toning that down. I like what you've done with the melody. It definitely beats any of the other versions of this that just put a raspy instrument in the background of the midi. It feels fresh. The end was lackluster. No energy was built up and when it dropped, it just felt empty, kinda like earlier. When you perfect the drops, you got a good song. All in all, a pretty good tune, I would suggest widening your soundscape and working on the drops. Can't wait for the next update.
  4. Make that "every few months." Seriously, they act like we require new Mario or we'll stop trusting Nintendo.
  5. Well, after being bombarded by about 7 different error messages, I think I'm just gonna have to skip this. With all the bad reception and Blizzard dumb "Beta weekend" idea rather than just, oh, I don't know, just a regular Beta release, I don't know if it's worth it.
  6. ...i WHAT. WHY WOULD I USE MY EMAIL IN THE USERNAME BOX AUGHHH RRRRGHNF Fuck.
  7. The login button remains unclickable to me. Guess I downloaded 15GB of bullshit. I was really excited, too.
  8. Tales of the Abyss. It just doesn't give me a reason to care. For every event that I should care about, they give me 10 more paragraphs about Fons and Fonic Arts and Hyperresonance and ugggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh.
  9. the planetary wispening the wispenology wispenometry 101
  10. From what you posted, I feel like the intro is trying to do too much. Just spend all that time before :58 just building up, then dropping once. There is not much to say since you did not post much, I guess your sounds are okay.
  11. Jeez, it's been a while I figure I should ask for some opinions on my current project: Just Gettin' Started Source 3: Super Mario Kart - Title Screen It's gone further since I posted this version, but this is good enough for what I need to get crits for. I mostly want to know if I should add a bassline (if so, it's be an electric bass), or if I should just try to fill up the soundscape, but THAT BEING SAID, I would love other criticism very much <3. As long as it's constructive. No stupid stuff.
  12. It'd be uncouth to leave the cry uncried.
  13. I completely agree. While I was originally excited for a chance to do Rainbow Road, I have found a comfortable spot with Super's Title and Double Dash's Menu. I definitely think this would be great for the album.
  14. Diablo 3 beta is free from Friday the 20th to Monday the 23rd. GET IT. GET IT NOW. GET IT HERE.
  15. While yes I also yes. However, I don't know if this would garner as much attention. It's like seeing a minor league baseball game instead of a major league game.
  16. I LOVE this! It sounds awesome! Possibly removing clones and just bad characters.
  17. Oh, I just thought about another one! When I first beat Mother 3, I cried my heart out. It was the single most vivid perception of sadness I have ever gotten out of any entertainment media. The scene. The hopelessness. The suicide. It all came in one big heap of emotions. Then the aftergame. It felt like I really saved the world. It felt like I really did something. It let me know that, after the end, what I did still mattered. I never had that feeling. At the end of any Zelda game, I always knew Link would win. At the end of any Mario game, he'd beat Bowser. But this. This was like I won. I saved the world.
  18. The first console I fully payed for was my DS (I was 10, that's 3 months of allowance) and I got Super Mario 64DS on it. My god. It felt like I was reliving the world. It felt so new, but so familiar. Also, somewhat recently, I started up a Majora's Mask cartridge on his N64 and after some wonky music the screen froze on the Happy Mask Salesman and a bad screech. I will never again touch that game unless it gets a 3DS release.
  19. The low strings are beautiful, but the lead sometimes has a mechanical ring to it, so perhaps humanizing it with reverb + delay would help. Also the snare that comes in is just too soft. It needs some more presence. Other than working on your sounds, I enjoy how you've arranged it, your use of dynamics is keeps me attached to the song, and I definitely would love to see N64 Rainbow Road get some love!
  20. Huge fan! I was even wearing my Dave shirt at school today. There are actually quite a few fans at my school who appreciate when I wear it.
  21. Definitely: Buy Somethin', Will Ya! (Drug Store Theme) Good Friends, Bad Friends (Credit Scroll) Riding The Skyrunner (Skyrunner Theme) and it's companion theme Riding The Yellow Submarine (Submarine Theme) Your Name, Please (Character Creation) Choose A File (File Select)
  22. What do you mean??? Reach For The Stars remains my favorite main theme in 3D Sonics! I love Crush 40 and all, but I think the song complimented the aesthetics of the game better than any before.
