If it's actually distinguishable as being derived from a particular VGMusic MIDI, then yeah I think credit should be given. Hopefully that doesn't apply to anything posted at OCR though (except of course in the case of ReMixers who are actually from VGMusic). Personally I prefer to listen to the original source when I do an arrangement, but I'd imagine that people who use MIDIs just do it to get the basic melody and rhythms, and then proceed to do the majority of the legwork of making an actual arrangement themselves. If they didn't change enough to the point that someone could actually tell they used a MIDI from VGMusic, then I wouldn't have a problem calling plagiarism, since that's just lazy. That and it would probably end up being too conservative anyway.

Because it still holds and plays GBA games? I'd rather the cart stick out a little than have a full half-inch of useless plastic taking up space in my pocket.

$4000 for a laptop?? That's more than I paid for my CAR! You're paying over twice the price you would for a comparable Windows laptop, and you're gonna use Ableton, which is available on Windows anyway. Welp, whatever floats your boat.

But like Pyrion said (in IRC I think), if that were the case, it'd probably just flat-out freeze. I've had my card overheat while playing TF2 (overclocked lol) and it just straight up crashes.

And you could buy DS games when the GBA came out?? Do you mean you could just hold onto your GBC when the GBA came out? Why can't you just hold onto your GBA now that the DS is out? It's *exactly* the same situation. GBC games stick out of the GBA. GBA games stick out of the DS.

$100 of markup is not that bad, guys, especially with the convenience and time savings you get when you don't have to research your parts, wait for them, put it all together, install the OS and drivers, find out your RAM is DOA, get it RMA'd...... Also the HDMI 8500s are quite a bit more expensive, about $80 on Newegg.
