  1. Really fun and groovy track! The drums are especially good. Definitely worth the download and putting on repeat P.S. The album tag is incorrect here. It's "https://ocremix.org" instead of "http://ocremix.org"
  2. One of the few purely electronic tracks from the album, and certainly one of my personal favorites! I really love dnb, and this is one of the best representatives of the genre on OCR. The flow is just incredibly smooth and energetic. Absolutely fantastic collab right here! Also nice to see Trism on the front page. He's made some nice competition-related stuff and it's cool to see such progress P.S. I don't know anything about the source track or the game, but for me the title is just a really bad pun and I love it
  3. Oh, hey, I recognize one of the tracks from the recent GRMRB compo Lookin' forward to this one!
  4. It's pretty funny that in the write-up for MkVaff's remix of the same theme djp mentioned he was planning to arrange "Cosmo Canyon" at some point, and, well... Here we are It's also very interesting that this is the third (!) djp remix of 2019. I mean, are we going back in time or what Anyways, onto the track itself - I gotta be honest, I'm too far from calling myself a huge reggae fan, but this remix is just ridiculously good. Just like Mike's track I mentioned earlier, this is nowhere near what you can expect from an arrangement of this source tune. And yet it works on every level possible! When I was listening "The Cosmofarian" for the first time, I was initially worried that it was too liberal and I didn't recognize the source at all, but luckily the melody kicked in at 0:25 and it was pretty much there the entire time This is also certainly a classic djp track in that sense that it has a lot of connections with his previous tracks (actually, my very first thought that popped into my mind was "FORTUNA FAVOURS THE FUNK!". Yeah, it was more like a scream, hahaha), but it's something new, fresh and different at the same time! Keep on rocking, Mr. Lloyd
  5. Not sure if you've checked the Competitions subforum, but he participated in quite a few of local compos, namely Wily Castle Remix Gauntlet 2013, Mega Man X: The Sigma Fortress Remix Gauntlet 2015, Sonic Zone Remix Competition 2012, Sonic Zone Remix Competition 2014 and Final Fantasy Crystal Clash! And he made a handful of neat tracks there, so that's my suggestion
  6. This is jaw-dropping, holy shit! :0 Gonna keep my eye on this release and also grab Snowtopia as soon as possible!
  7. Ha, nice! Already listening and liking it a lot Gotta admit though, 5 emails is a bit too many
  8. Heck yeah! I just love all of Rexy's contributions to TSSMA'12, and this one is no exception for sure! I'm a huge sucker for Gamma's theme, Rexy's music and just large and epic and dramatic piano pieces, so nothing to complain about here The dynamic writing is just incredible, which is really good for such "storytelling" songs like this one. Hope to see the rest of stuff from that album here as well!
  9. Man, this one gives me chills even 2 years after the release. Definitely one of the most loud and brutal tracks from STA
  10. Gotta admit, this is some super nice stuff! The blend of electronica with vibes and some other jazzy stuff quickly reminded me of TGH's "Wily's Bubble Bath" remix. And I love that track soooooo much! Really awesome work here
  11. Wow... Talk about a truly deep musical experience! It's been a long while since a track on OCR touched me so much, and, damn... This day came. The first time I listened to this remix I literally sit shocked with chills running down my spine and didn't even move for a moment. I think this also may have to do something with my personal attachment to Sonic games and their music, but anyway :p The overall atmosphere reminded me actually of 'Dear My Friend' and 'Speak with Your Heart', the ending themes of Sonic Unleashed and Colors respectively (the intro is especially strong with these vibes!), which is a nice thing, I guess I must admit, at some point I completely sunk in the ridiculously mellow blend of the creamy guitars, soft vocals, organ and other stuff topped with some warm recording noises, when the violin suddenly kicked in and... Well, it took me by surprise, honestly. But that surprise wasn't a bad one, that's for sure! I really liked how it added a bit of brightness to the soundscape without ruining the established aesthetics. I think I can go on forever with singing the praises to this work, but you better hear it yourself, guys, it definitely wirth your time! Much kudos to TiwC and his crew!
  12. https://drive.google.com/file/d/10w0IagDgf0OoiTx5JAc5qj9IjDBKQeTU/view?usp=sharing Found it! Had to do some tagging, since a couple of tracks lacked them completely for some reason, so there may be some mistakes, but I don't think it matters that much, honestly.
  13. I can probably get it, should have it somewhere on my laptop, I think...
  14. I just beat this game a few hours ago, and, man, I can say for sure I can certainly imagine this track being in game! Absolutely nailed the overall creppy yet wacky and zany atmosphere of Psychonauts The original is not something that would get stuck in my head immidiately, but Chris made it sound really nice and entertaining... yeah. The source is easily recognizable, but you've also got a plenty of new touches and some classic quirky Mazedude instrumentation! Very good job on this one! EDIT: Almost forgot to mention that I learned about the game itself only thanks to this track! So yeah, huge kudos for making it, haha
  15. Yes! This track is certainly one of my personal highlights of the album It's not really a very new remix, but every listen is still quite nice, and from time to time I even has chills running down my spine I absolutely love the somewhat mysterious yet fresh and adventurous vibe this track has. The powerful drums and groovy bass definitely give this one a huge sense of motion and progression. Then there's also a number of other details that are no less cool - the choir in the intro really helps to set the mood; digging that small folk-ish touch at 1:40 and sweet cello soloing at 3:00! And last but not the least, have to mention the guitar - that's some really enjoyable playing right here. Brave to everyone involved - you nailed it guys!
  16. Yo, this is super dope. Huge fan of your stuff, so hope this one hits OCR front page some day
  17. Ohhh, so dope! I've been playing a LOT of JSR/JGR lately, and this is just what I needed. "Sneakman" is one of my personal favorites form the soundtrack because of how energetic and juicy it is, and Caleb did it a wonderful job arranging this song. He managed to maintain the crazy vibes of the original, while bringing a new dose of freshness and funk to the table. The instrumentation is also very reminiscent of the original - same insane chunks of slap bass, wah-wah, breakneck percussion, and yet there were some new details like the brilliant synth and organ solos! The abused vocal sampling may throw some people off, but I really like it - that is actually one of the features of the original composition that made it so attractive for me! The incorporation of bits of "Fly Like a Butterfly" was also very cool here - they shuffled the things a bit, while keeping everything quite cohesive, which is obviously always nice! Very good job, thanks for making this. Gonna put this one on repeat for sure
  18. I'm always interested in seeing Sonic being remixed during these compos, so definitely looking forward to the entries, especially since the source is kinda tricky, I guess. Although, it was used in a other compo here, so let's see
  19. I don't think I even want to say a lot here. "Epic" is just a huge understatement when it comes to describing this remix. Simply one of those tracks that make the chills run down my spine. Incredible job, everyone!
  20. Oh boy, yes! This is a true masterpiece. I've been listening to this track a lot since the album came out This is certainly one of my personal highlights of RotPL and just one of the best jams of Mr. Pretzel! I love playing this track when I'm in a good mood, and vice versa - pretty much every time I'm frown I put this track on repeat until I feel better, because this track is just... Pure happiness in musical form, I guess. I also love how this track is structured - you've got a nice tropical sonic journey sandwiched between mellower piano-led intro and outro, and that journey itself is quite an experience on it own - there're some straight-up joyful bouncy bits mixed with somewhat calmer parts, which are no less fantastic! The divesre instrumentation is also what makes me appreciate this piece so much - especially dig that sunny flute and groovy bass, haha. Huge kudos for this work, David <3
  21. I don't usually like such tracks as this one as they seem a little bit boring to me, but this one... Woah, it's pure magic! So addicting. There's something almost hypnotizing about it. I can't really tell what it is, but my guess wold be the clock-like percussion And the mellow piano is a very nice thing too. I love how this track keeps adding more and more elements and changing them from time to time. Well... I don't even know how describe my passion abut this track. The last thing I can say for sure is that this is a must-download <3
  22. Actually, I started working only this year and so my first game was... Some games for my Switch, I guess Yeah, this story doesn't go deep in the past
  23. Not familiar with the original as well, but yeah, this is some damn nice job! The groovy, crunchy drums is certainly my favorite thing about this track. I mean, the rest of instrumentation is very cool too (those chippy bits are super stellar), but the percussion just makes me tap my toes and bop my head quite a few times, haha. The drum writing at around 2-minute mark is especially tasty! And, man, that aggressive synth assault at 2:40! Extremely sweet earcandy from Eino, just as expected
  24. Ohhhh... I remember my initial excitement when I first heard a bit of thi track in the trailer Obviously, I was looking forward to the release of the whole version and it did not disappoint at all! Though I've never played CC, Star-Stealing Girl is easily one of my favorites from the OST, because there's just something extremely deep in its beautifully melancholic atmosphere. But the way these guys treated the source is absolutely mind-blowing. Taking such a sad-sounding source and turning it into a jazz jam that's so mellow and creamy was a simply brilliant decision. I love all kinds of jazz, actually, and chill stuff like this is no exception. Especially dig the muted trumpet - now that's a thing I don't hear very often! The rest of performance, however, is no less amazing. Listened to this track about 15 times today, haha. Guess that's saying something
