People brush me off because a lot of the stuff I use is REALLY affordable, like under $20, for a lot of the sets of headphones, but they serve a purpose and between everything I monitor with (including my car) I can get a really accurate view of what the songs sound like on a number of different audio systems. That's the real key, moreso than spending $300 on a set of "miracle headphones". No offense to people who swear by miracle headphones.

I have other sets and studio monitors I also reference with before finishing something important. But these are a 99% usage thing. They were $60 when I got them. Price has gone up. There used to be a noice double-set of wireless headphones for like $40. I try to keep an eye out because I want those, but I haven't seen them in a while.

I feel the same way I felt when I first heard this waaay back on DoD. It's really well produced, really impressive performances and fantastic sounds, but it lacks a hook that really drags me in. It's probably the source (since this is a really conservative mix), it seems like a thrill ride while I'm listening and it's really enjoyable, just not a lot memorable to cling onto after the listen is over. Don't suppose it hurts to keep listening to refresh the memory, though.

This is my exact feeling... The announcement of FF13 was REALLY early on in the PS3's life, and I got a PS3 expecting to play Versus 13, though I gotta be honest I got FF13 on the Xbox360 and waited a good while before really adopting the ps3... mostly for Heavy Rain and Uncharted. It's a strong enough system on its own, but still, I remember the appeal of the PS3 all along being FF13 series (3 games, nova crystalis whatever.) I honestly feel betrayed, and I am not going to buy a PS4 just for them to sit on a game and be like "oh yeah it's a PS5 exclusive now."

Hey! Has anyone played the DmC remake? It is a beautiful game with fantastic combat and the soundtrack by Combichrist is straight up awesome. I played it on PC. Haven't gotten TOO FAR yet. Awesome game though, recommended! Get it just to see THAT in 1080p 60fps awesomeness.

Yeah I wouldn't mind at all if Versus13 became 15, in fact I would love that, I just don't want it to be made a Ps4 exclusive... It was already developed and planned for ps3 for almost a decade, they could still release it on the ps3 AND ps4 > I guess we'll see when E3 comes around, or TGS.

I don't understand why ToN recruited such terrible choices for some of the songs... I mean, why did OCR make this an approved project PURELY based on who claimed each song? Just look at who claimed the 'Beware the Forest Mushrooms' theme. What the hell is that? Seriously, to everyone involved in greenlighting this, I am SO disappointed.
