  1. It's always nice to hear a Super Smash Bros. remix. I love Final Destination remixes, especially like the section at 2:27. I get chills every time. :D
  2. Simón Belmondo is sounds classy. Very cool remix, and the style definitely works here.
  3. I'm late here, but I'm glad your remix was considered. Very nice sound.
  4. Finally! I remember when I first heard this. This remix does justice to the game it came from. That being said, I really love the retro sound. Nice job.
  5. I like the altered squelches, where they used to be the same sounding, and I also love the main melody being arpeggiated. The breakdown was pretty nice. I love how it stopped playing with the drums and just built up back into the 4 on the floor beat. Your remix evolved nicely.
  6. I wish more people with a better ear would comment on this. To me, the quality of the track sounds good, but I'm no professional when it comes to that. As for the Majora's Mask section, I'm not too familiar with it for some reason. But 3:09 doesn't seem to sound intrusive to me.
  7. At first, I thought you could live in Tarrey Town. I don't know if we'll ever see Link and Zelda marry each other.
  8. I'm reminiscing over here. Who is cutting onions again? Your remix is very beautiful. I also love the background sound you added. Makes me think of being in Tarrey Town.
  9. Holy cow! You added more to this, and you managed to break away from the darker variant of the original theme and then jump back into it. The melody that starts at the 3:01 to 3:25 mark is a nice addition. It kind of gives me a sense of dread. Maybe Uncle Scrooge wasn't sure if he'd ever escape and get that green cheese. I really liked the interruption at 4:05. Didn't expect that. My only gripe is how your remix ends. Hopefully more people can give you feedback on the quality of the song, because this sounds complete to me. Unless you wanted to extend the track further. But that's up to you.
  10. You actually might have the correct genre. This remix sounds a bit like something from Infected Mushroom, though. Goa trance generally has Indian (not Native American) influences with their symbolism, for a lack of a better word, in the song. The bassline does sound like the one you have in your remix, just a rolling, droning bassline, which seems to be a common thing these days when it comes to Goa, psy, and full-on. Look up Electric Universe - The Prayer for example of Goa trance. Psytrance is more mechanical, and not just in the sense that it doesn't sound like it's being played live, or lacking humanization on each note and beat, but just the soundscape itself. Look up Infected Mushroom - Becoming Insane (SynSUN Remix). I don't see anything wrong with the melody you've currently got going. I think the squelches layered with the melody works, and I'm not particularly focused on one over the other. All I was saying is try to take the melody from the start of the mix and reapply it somewhere else in the track. That would certainly require a shift in keys. If you can't do it, don't worry about it. It was just a suggestion. EDIT: Just noticed something in The Prayer by Electric Universe. It goes from being this really euphoric, repetitious theme at 3:18, and then eventually it starts to die down. Then at 3:58, it transitions to a darker feeling with a woman praying. Perhaps if you wanted to take the original melody you had playing at the start and fit it in like it does in that song, it might work.
  11. More like full-on or psytrance than it is Goa trance. I don't think I've ever come across anything within this genre of music on this site. I like how this sounds so far. I like how you took a melody that sounds kind of uplifting and just adjusted the notes enough to where it sounds darker. However, fitting the original melody back into this remix somewhere along the way would be nice, that way it gets that familiarity back. As for equalizing and such, it sounds fine on my laptops speakers.
  12. First off, trance remix. I don't see many of those around here anymore. That used to be something back in the early 2000's. Anyway, this remix sounds really cool. It has the perfect soundscape for something you'd title Take Flight. It's soft, airy, and full of color.
  13. If you have a keyboard that you can connect to your PC, then you can get some humanization, despite it being created on your computer. Even then, you can manually create the notes to come just a hairline before or after each notes. The main thing I'd work on is creating something with less repetition. This sounds like it could be good for a NES game.
  14. This just gets straight to the point. I've got Symphony of the Night nostalgia flooding over me right now. How cool it would to be hear something like this in an actual Castlevania game.
  15. I agree with CoolBeets on preferring this one over the original. It's not too mellow, but despite it being a prog rock remix, it's still relaxing, which I like.
  16. This certainly took the original in a different direction. It painted a picture in my mind of a cozy old cottage that had a sense of safety.
  17. If Animal Crossing was a genre, it'd definitely would be jazz, despite the game pouring out all sorts of genres on the record player. I love this remix. It's very relaxing, and sadly, it's short. I wish it could be extended. But there's always that replay button.
  18. It sort of reminds me of Angels Breathing by Brian Kelly. This is really well done. Very relaxing.
