Just started reading "The Rest is Noise: Listening to the 20th Century" by Alex Ross. It's all about music from 1900 and beyond, and really understanding what it's all about. I JUST started, but I've heard some amazing things--and I love reading about the interaction between strauss and mahler...

The other thing that I find very helpful with rhythm games is that they challenge your ability to sight read. Sight reading seems to be weak among the younger generation of musicians, and needs all the work it can get.

i like the front page! but this is what the layout looks to me: aside from my remix being in the RRR, i noticed there's that big gap there above the russian remix roulette. is that supposed to be there?

hey man- first off ya got the wrong forum! go to remixing for questions about, well, remixing http://www.ocremix.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=12 second of all, when it comes to arranging a remix, the rule is generally to try to keep around 50% of the music true to the original track, and 50% new material/"arrangement". Just make sure there's enough zanarkand in there and as far as I know you should be fine in terms of arrangement Just make sure the zanarkand theme is recognizable. good luck!
