Looking for someone to make hip hop beats
DarkeSword replied to The Legendary Zoltan's topic in Recruit & Collaborate!
Let me know what kind of lyrics you wanna do. PM or catch me on AIM or something. -
This thread is a general Q&A/detail thread for Final Fantasy V - The Fabled Warriors, OCR’s FF5 album series. About There are 5 albums in The Fabled Warriors: WIND, WATER, FIRE, EARTH, and DAWN. Each album is comprised of arrangements written as character themes of important characters in the game and the job classes made available by the respective crystals. The fifth album doesn’t correspond to a crystal, as there is no “Dawn” crystal in the game; instead it covers the additional job classes available in the Gameboy Advance re-release. Schedule WIND was released in September 2010. WATER was released in May 2016. FIRE is targeted for 2018. This is not a release date or a promise, just a goal. EARTH, and DAWN have no target dates. Tracklist Character Description Source Style Artist(s) Faris The reckless and courageous pirate captain. Pirates Ahoy! open Gilgamesh The eight-armed sword hunter. Battle on the Big Bridge An eight-member rock super-group called “The Eight Arms of Gilgamesh” collaborating to create a denser, more varied take on the source. Sixto Sounds, hakstok, OA Beastmaster “Trainers whose open hearts and strong wills allow them to capture and control enemy monsters.” aggressive Sir_NutS Geomancer “Harnessing the power of their surroundings, they easily avoid pits and floors with damaging effects.” Cursed Earth heavy and rhythmic anosou Ninja “Stealthy fighters who excel at surprising enemies and can wield two weapons at once.” Intention of the Earth fast and mysterious OA Bard “Musicians whose dulcet tones soothe savage beasts…or kill them.” melodic and lyrical RiverSound Ranger “Nature-loving archers who can call on local wildlife for aid.” adventurous open The Prelude The classic prelude theme from all Final Fantasy games. The Prelude relaxing DarkeSword Signups are open. The Fabled Warriors runs on an audition-enrollment system. To sign up for a track, please provide a sample of your work that illustrates you’re able to compose and produce in the style required. If you have a Final Fantasy V remix you’re already working on and want me to put on the project, chances are I won’t take it. The Fabled Warriors has a very specific concept, and I’m not looking for music that wasn’t written without the concept in mind. That said, I still encourage you to submit your remix to OCR, because there is always room for more FF5 remixes, whether they are on the project or not. Feel free to ask any questions you have about the project.

Hurry! A Final Fantasy X Impossible ReMix Album

Did you submit it? -
Why are you wasting time posting in a topic you don't like? If you don't like a topic, ignore it. Another post like this and you'll be banned. Seriously, only warning.

Yeah the best way to do it is to share the music. Good ways to do it are to use social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook to pimp out albums and remixes. Also, you can burn CDs for your friends or just play the music at parties or whatever.

Yeah, it's a catchy tune.

Yes but I don't fall for that anymore. So

Looking for someone to make hip hop beats

http://shariqansari.com/volcano-valley.mp3 This is basically a sketch of patterns. It could be expanded and instrumentation could be altered, obviously. -
Nope. And yes, she really needs pass-through for EX Hayate.

Parry it. Oh wait.

I have a Volcano Valley (Sonic 3DB Gen) hip-hop instrumental that needs lyrics. Also, moved to Recruit. -
Post sources please.

This game didn't really release to a lot of fanfare, did it? I remember reading about it though. The soundtrack really is amazing. Anyway, talking about the forums on the forums is stupid. Offending posts have been moved. Let's stay on-topic, which in this thread means talking about Nier. If you don't know what Nier is, there is a link to a review of the game in the fifth post of the thread. Have fun.

It's not a dumb question. Generally speaking, we don't have solid target release dates for our official albums. Albums are produced by the community and we only start to plan releases for them when they finish; when an album "finishes" is really a moving target, as it depends on a lot of different factors.

Hurry! A Final Fantasy X Impossible ReMix Album
DarkeSword replied to Arcana's topic in General Discussion
Part of the reason this didn't get the promotion when it released was because Dave was at PAX, but also because there was already a schedule of rmixes to be posted before we rolled out FF5 Wind, which was really long overdue. We'll try to promote this a little more after the FF5 stuff dies down. -
Hi guys. I'm looking for artists (non-musical) for the Grand Robot Master Remix Battle album. http://ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=31160 Specifically, I'm looking for some really good hand-drawn album art. Not interested in Photoshop-only affairs here. Specifically I'd like to see something with all the Robot Masters featured in some kind of big group shot. The prominence of Robot Masters in this shot should be based on how far they got in the competition. Tornado Man - The winner, so most prominent Ground Man - The Runner Up, slightly smaller Eliminated in Round 3: Metal Man Flash Man Eliminated in Round 2: Galaxy Man Cold Man Plant Man Bubble Man Eliminated in Round 1: Time Man Slash Man Stone Man Magnet Man Wood Man Heat Man Cut Man Magma Man Some extra pictures of one-on-one battles would be nice too. Please post examples of your work. I'm looking for really good classic-style Mega Man art here.

Mega Man: The Grand Robot Master Remix Battle 2010
DarkeSword replied to DarkeSword's topic in Competitions
Gentlemen, here is information about the plans for the album compilation for this competition's music. http://ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=31160 -
EDIT: Killing this due to lack of interest/response. This thread is for the organization of the album release of tracks from this year's Grand Robot Master Remix Battle. The album tracklist will be built as follows: - Any track that won a round in the main bracket will be on the album - Every one of the 16 participating remixers will be allowed to have at least one track of his choosing on the album (so even if you didn't win any rounds in the main bracket, I still want you on the album). - I'll also be picking my own personal favorites from both brackets if they're haven't already been chosen. For the album release, I'd like to give artists the chance to make any small revisions and tweaks they'd like to make. Competition tracks were generally given only one week for completion, but since this is an album release, I'd like for artists to be able to make their stuff is the best it can be. For remixers choosing non-winning tracks, your tweaks and revisions need to bring the track up to a baseline level of quality. In addition to the album release, I'd also like to include ALL of the original, unrevised, unedited competition tracks as a part of the BitTorrent distribution; this includes the Champion and Revenge brackets. Here's a list of the main bracket tracks that are confirmed to be on the tracklist. Artist Veto Fixes requested by DarkeSword Fixes planned by Artist Track OK Remixers, please let me know what additional tracks you'd like on the album. Once we finalize that, I'll go through all original competition tracks and pick my faves. Please also let me know if you want to make revisions for any tracks already listed, or if you feel the track is "OK."Mixer requested tracks:

*NO* World Cup Italia '90 'The Dreamseeker'
DarkeSword replied to Palpable's topic in Judges Decisions
I realize you're trying to tell a story here, and this piece has a lot of nice development, but I have a two big issues: - Your samples sound very mechanical and fake. It's forgivable during the dance sections because I don't expect things to sound real there, but you take the arrangement into purely acoustic/orchestra sections and the samples and sequencing become very exposed, especially the acoustic guitar and oboe. - I'm not a fan of the extended original sections here; you have nearly a full minute where you've said yourself it's completely original. A couple of bars here and there is fine, but long transitional sections like this should reference the source music. I think this is a pretty good arrangement overall, but the extended original section is a bit much. I like the movement from dance to orchestral and then blending them together, but I feel like your samples are lacking. The arrangement could use some tightening up, and the production also needs and upgrade. NO, resub -
I do love me some Game Over. I can hear how the layered syncopation could be tricky to follow, but fortunately the production here is top notch, so the two guitars don't get needlessly mashed together. Plus things lock together when the chorus hits, which helps the listener re-orient. Great performances, fantastic vocals. Very nice. YES
