I don't know if this is my place to speak for Callum or not, but if I recall correctly, one of his reference tracks for making the track was indeed "Que Sera Sera" from the Katamari Damacy OST. That track also was a good surprise in the first remix contest for this album, and I'm so glad it made the cut too =)

Even though I have a 3DS myself, I have to say I'm down with the idea of giving a child a sturdier alternative to play their first videogames on. I even mentioned in conversations regarding the subject that you'd benefit from the 2DS if the 3D feature is a health risk to you (yes I know there's a slider, but that's beside the point) and/or you simply don't want to pay some extra money for a fancy graphical effect. I bought the 3DS because its game library was finally starting to build up - not because of some fancy effect. And I am saying this from the point of view of someone who has been following Nintendo's handhelds since the days of the original Game Boy. Talking of which, did any of you guys ever had your old Game Boys sent away for repair as a child? Those were sturdy machines and could last for years when handled right - heck, even my deep pink GBC is still working today. I don't know if my personal experience with past systems isn't the same as anyone else's, but let's face it - it's easier for a child to snap a 3DS in half than it is to smash an original Game Boy into pieces. Now I don't know what kind of build the 2Ds would have - it may be as sturdy as modern day smartphones, or maybe more fragile than the PSP, but who knows; the point is that the decision to make the 2DS "unfoldable" works for the intended target audience. Still, all we can do is just wait and see how it fares at retail. We shrugged off the original DS as a stupid idea, as well as the Wii and Wii U, but Nintendo likes pulling off risks and often it goes in their favor financially (except for the Wii U, but that's for another thread). It may go well for the 2DS, but we'll just see about that.

I've used Magix Movie Edit Pro for years and while it does have its moments, it's inexpensive (latest version costs £40, or £80 if you want the premium) and has enough functionability for me to get by. I've done all of my Youtube videos with that one, including my project perspectives. Works great on Windows too

Congratulations Eino! =) Yep, rare for me to pop into a compo thread full stop, but when I saw OMG RISTAR being involved this week, I thought this might be something to keep an eye on. It's a tricky source to go for as well - has its moment of structure, but melody sounds so difficult to work with, and you managed to push a great arrangement idea out of that one. I am indeed considering your track for this week's SEGA Mixer Drive as well - you'll get my support on air

To be fair, going by what happened from when we did B&R, perhaps they should've done more consulting with Square Enix themselves and send some of the KS money towards paying for the FF licence. They've been notoriously stingy with their products for years, so with regret I wasn't surprised to see the web series KS get shut down.

So my haul of the sale ended up being Scribblenauts Unlimited, Evoland (which I already finished......), ASRT and RPG Maker VX ACE. Brandon also gifted me To The Moon near the start of the sale as well. Not a bad run this Summer =)

Cash hit it nail on the head. Apparently a handful of artists may have expected so much more from OCR due to its past, but a lot of us aught to have learnt by now that we come here to learn our craft, have fun making stuff and putting it out there - a sweet hobby community at the end of the day. The best advice I received on this issue is from OA, and that can apply to a handful of people here going under that same treatment: So naturally, for some of us the fan response may not be what we desired, but we still got to congratulate ourselves for being a part of this mammoth undertaking and seeing all the positives that came from it. Climate change sucks, I know, but by adapting and comparing to more recent (relevant?) experiences we get to see the effect that the album's work has done
