  1. Fuckin AWESOME. The feeling of appreciation of your music through performance is great, so the high feeling is fully justified. GRATS BLAD.
  2. I can't figure out the intent of this post, unless you thought that I was calling for media to be a scapegoat, which in that post I meant Jack Thompson was doing. However, I am getting really annoyed at these news channels nonetheless. You have dumb newscasters trying to play detective fully aware of how they're shaping viewers' easily swayed opinions.
  3. I heard about this at school, and I was stunned at the so far 32 death count. This is worse than Columbine. I'm also enraged that FOX News is interviewing Jack Thompson. Always gotta blame shit on media. FOX News are the ones that already have a movie poster sort of image for this event, as if it were some action scene. It's pretty ridiculous. I hope whoever is on these boards that goes to VA Tech is alright, and best wishes to students, family members, and staff who have lost someone. This is a pretty sick tragedy.
  4. I am almost complete with the first track of a conceptual VG soundtrack I'm working on. I chose to do this for our highschool's senior culminating project. I know I released an earlier, much crappier track 1, but I am always trying new things and formatting stuff. I just got my Xps 1710 for college, because my parents love me. This means I have a comp that can pretty much run everything in GPO. So I guess I am now a sample whore...forever ruining my freebie legacy. Anywhere, here is a wip of the "introduction" http://blizihizake.googlepages.com/Track1wip1.mp3 The crappy intro to this intro was me having the BBC Planet Earth theme song stuck in my head and trying to make something as cool as it. Someone tell me if it sounds crappy to someone else.
  5. Hahaha...I used to think it was SoaD in Jr High. T_T I'm such a no0b. But yeah a good radio song would be Fire Cross by LuiZa, Donkey Kong 2 Forest Birdcussion by Protricity, a Pixietricks track mentioning her part on the Civ IV expansion soundtrack to open people up to OCReMix's talent, and perhaps Dragonsong by Harmony from Secret of Mana. That's a really cool thing you're doing. College stations usually play better music than a lot of the other FM stations, which is nice.
  6. Just a lil bump. This game is really fun. On max settings everything is gorgeous. And while this game is really buggy, we have to keep in mind that this is the REASON it is open beta. Lots of games are horribly broken in open beta, and companies do this to improve. If this game is polished in the live version...I think I might buy it. I did a little thinking and while it takes a whole bunch of stuff on WoW, it sort of improves upon those things. The stuff it got from WoW weren't bad things either.
  7. I agree. This game has more bugs than uncle Jeb's garden shed, and only four races? Jeez. I can run oblivion on max settings no problem, yet in a tiny town on extreme minimum settings I get 2 fps? What the hell guys. I do like being a minstrel though, with the songs. But this thing lacks originality. It has WoW written all over it.
  8. I've never taken music theory class, so excuse my ignorance. Take a minor chord, call it I. Now lower the root a perfect third and make a chord with that, a major scale. Take any I chord down three steps and you get a VI. My favorite epic progression is just that progression, a VI chord up to a minor I, like a lot of Kingdom Hearts songs. But I can't stand I VII VI VII looping, like crappy techno.
  9. I can't believe some things people have said in this thread. But yeah I continue to wish BT the best of luck. Doesn't he have some pretty rare stuff? I don't know much about musical hardware models and such but I heard something about some rare equipment. This guy has set world records, and This Binary Universe was an audio masterpiece. In relation to this, I hope the guy who Timbaland ripped isn't completely screwed. I hope BT doesn't end up being completely screwed either.
  10. Death Proof's buildup to the action was waaay too long and drawn out. I was happy when those girls died, and extremely disappointed when new ones filled their places. I really rooted for them when they kicked the guy's ass however, because it gives me a subconscious reassurance that that guy won't be after me. Maybe it was Tarantino's idea to have the audience get really bored of the girls and be rewarded with their death, but even that didn't outweigh the torture of having to listen to them talk about jack shit. Death Proof was probably supposed to be bad, but unsucceedingly oversucceeded in my opinion, until the female stunt drivers took to the road. That was pretty awesome. IMO, the first movie was waaaay better. Got many laughs, and was pretty fuckin epic. Btw I thoroughly enjoy Quintin's dialogue in most his movies, but the first four girls' conversation was brainless. I know it's supposed to be like that, but that's just not my thing. Bigboss I hope you don't continue to defeat the purpose of this thread: Grindhouse. Just let us kids talk about a movie, instead of being so firm about an issue that people are too busy to profoundly care for. Lots of people will be glad to discuss it in a "Cult Classics & Facades" thread. I actually agree partly with your stance, but this is not the thread. o god is this minimodding
  11. I thought Pulp Fiction was the one that started the cult classic craze? And that movie is actually good.
  12. He also composed the critically acclaimed original STFU song, performed by the Vatican Choir: www.starblast.org/starsongs/stfu.mp3
  13. I would if I could get video to work. Everytime I log on I get a black screen with sound. I tried everything the site told me ( at least I think) but I still have the black screen : (
  14. God I'm a sucker. D/ling the beta right now. I got really bored of WoW at lvl 66. I donno why
  15. BT is awesome. I'm extremely happy I got this laptop. Now I can compose downstairs, in the kitchen, under a tree in my backyard, or whatever instead of my tiny and stuffed room. Changing your surroundings really does help, not necessarily in giving ideas but clearing your mind a bit and helping you focus.
  16. I have extremely good news for all who have switched to Vista, effectively shooting themselves in the musical foot. There is a beta version of Asio4all 2.8 with WaveRT support. And let me tell you, it's like a godsend. Time to start composin again! ;P www.asio4all.com
  17. Wow. Epic. And the music was awesome as always.
  18. I used to have trouble following the gameplay of SSBM after playing SSB. Actually I used to be a little turned off by it, but after I grew used to it I highly value the fast pace. It only gives an advantage to those who pay close attention and know their character.
  19. Or perhaps fails to realize that poster was talking about the professor Oak's join date, as opposed to the Moon's late arrival.
