If the sequel has as much robot fighting as the first one, I don't have a reason to not want a sequel.

either that or you're stuck teaching music for low pay. i don't know why people choose to struggle and devote their lives to music as opposed to working at NASA or Microsoft or something, owning a large house, eventually working for less hours with more money than if you were hustlin, be able to afford a generous studio, and then practice their passion comfortably. Tends to create a lot less drama.

Get a good job aka do something that matters. Then develop your hobby.

It's really fun reading up on speculation about the "Cloverfield" trailer. Some people say it's Voltron, because the party is for someone going to Japan, someone says "I saw it! It's a lion!" (actually she says "It's alive" I think), the five explosions of smoke, etc. Others say it's Godzilla because the song playing during the trailer that contains the lyric "dancing in a field of clover" (or sometthing like that) is from an album whose art features a giant lizard. Others are saying Dragonball Z lulz. Really though, whatever it turns out to be, I'm probably going to watch it. Looks really interesting. That trailer was really powerful in gaining such popularity through a low budget sort of clip. That robotic/thunder explosion sound was awesome.

A google search yields that it's either called "Clover" or "Cloverfield", and it's a giant monster movie shot from the perspective of people's hand cams. The trailer was crazy, and everyone in our theater was like "wtf is the name this looks good"

Movie was pure awesome. Really funny, really badass. I was surprised that someone remembered to give the autobots and deceptacons personality. The CGI team really busted their asses for this one. There have been lots of movie-killing CGI in these past three years, save for the great Pixar movies. But I think I can honestly say that the animators really made the movie come to life. The kid who played Sam was perfect for the role. Actually, all around the acting was surprisingly good. At first when I saw the previews I was like "OH GAWD it's Tyrese noo". However, I never really had any problems with the acting in the movie. Optimus Prime was awesome, but I think Starscream really took the cake. I was really scared this movie would suck, but it was way more than I expected it to be. The movie was never boring, and there were lots of spine tingling moments where you just think "wow this movie is awesome."

This movie will rawk.

Well...I'm about to go see it. I'm really sad to read these reviews, because Spidermans 1 and 2 were just fucking awesome, and there was this ultimate build up of tension between Harry and Peter, but apparently it loses focus on that powerful driving force of the series.

Ok, my dell xps 1710 came with a S-video ->> component (RGB) convertor. I have successfully connected this adapter to my HDTV, but all i get is a faint blu-ish, rapidly flickering screen which makes using windows pretty much impossible. I can see stuff but it's just way too flickery. Are there some settings on my video card that I have to tweak? Answers would be very appreciated.
