  1. Yeahhhhh, I'm still recovering from DSoP BUT i might be able to mirror, so... yeahhh...don't put me down just yet.
  2. Somebody call a dietician; those beats are phat! Edit: either my speakers or broken, or this new revision is clipping more than a little. It may, in fact, be too phat. Someone better call Peter Pan, cause those beats were off the hook.
  3. This is the TO shit that works. Very atmospheric while still maintaining the groove thang. Heard it all over DSoP and we hear it again here. Good stuff.
  4. Buddy, I don't believe that you have a clear idea about what this mix is about. Crono isn't actually rapping. Those are sampled sounds from E-Jay, faux scratched over the remixed track.
  5. Funny that DJP should mention Fear and Loathing. That's the first image that came to mind in my head. Smooth stuff. Very Vegas-y. Very silky. Joshua Morse and Po! make the hotness. It's on the short side, but it repeats well.
  6. woah. hot. this mix rocks harder than fisticuffs. and thats saying something
  7. pretty straightforward, but rocking nonetheless. i've only heard half a million rock versions of this theme . good stuff, six.
  8. unlike gt, i DO use some mallet precussion in my mixes. i'll have to keep you in mind... listening to the mp3. haha, dude. don't set yourself up for another Magininja Hmm. Your recording quality blows chunks of holy hell, but since you go to Peabody (omg meetup), i assume you'll be able to find better recording stuffs...even, BORROW some from our beloved pixietricks I've got a mix i might want to talk to you about...your jazz vibes will come in handy (again, with better recordedness). PS: stay away from singing.
  9. There's an option to "split mixer tracks" in the render window.
  10. I will not deny that we talked for about two hours.
  11. He's wearing Bag of Skills with +10 to Musical Talent and -10 to Recycle/Reuse. Commendable.
  12. Crunk as a mofo. I've always found myself liking Shna's "hard to appreciate/stomach" works, like this one, Hunter's Community Chest, Rare Mineral Addict, etc. I really can't explain why. Unlike Israfel, I'm not a wealth of music technical know (not trying to be sarcastic, btw), rather, I'm a listener, sometimes maker (I won't deny that Chauffage Au Gaz was influenced by Shna's work), who loves deviations from the norm. Shna's "abstractions" never come off as messy or to me. Lo fi, almost always. Experimental, for sure. Confusing, sometimes. Requiring of many, many listens? Always. Each time I listen to a Shnamix, I find new things that I like about it, new sections that sound very cool, experiments with sound that stimulate. Meh, maybe I'm a fanboy for this sort of stuff.
  13. I'm a late bloomer towards mutagene's stuff, but i'm really starting to like his style. I'm familiar with the source through the Marsland Brotherhood's version of it which stands in stark stylistic contrast to this electronic dub, reverb drenched piece. The chunking wah-guitars, spliced segments of brass noise, and the drums give us the clear reggae/dub base, but the synths that fade in and out lend the track its singular electronic/ambient feel. The track as a whole is filled with colorful textures that swirl in and out of the soundscape. The track flows as an ambient track would; there's little in the way of a strict structure. As a result, the track is more of an experience than a clearcut piece. Ethereal. Good stuff.
  14. And Wingless has forgotten the face of his father, remember?
  15. First post in an epic thread. edit: now that i've secured my spot in history, lemmie just say that I am one of the few who had the IMMENSE HONOR of hearing this before it was released. I've had it for about a month now....and it's just amazing. This is what game mixing is all about people. This is the shit. This is AMAZING. edit2: Shit, it is in 5/4 isn't it? No wonder. Haha, I need to hit Brandon up for some tips on drums in 5/4...
  16. Why would it NOT be useful, is the better question? Do people here not know how to use parametric EQs, or what? They are the most powerful tools around. I taught myself how to use all the stuff in fl - based on what I found them to be able to do. Therefore, I know how to use most things in an unorthodox way. Expound, plz.
  17. OI"LL BE THUR. Edit: This shizz is pumpin yo. Oji be all up on the joint.
