While I love the Xenogears soundtrack, I really do not think you should not be the one to start it at this point. I don't mean to insult you or anything, but the better-known you are, the more star power you're going to get on this project. I'm sorry to say it, but you don't have the noteriety required to start a Xenogears project which would come anywhere close to doing the OST justice. I really don't mean to insult you; I don't mean to suggest it's your fault that big-name remixers aren't going to rush to join this project, it's just a simple fact about the way projects generally work; if you aren't well-known, you won't get well-known mixers on your project. And Xenogears has a soundtrack which fully deserves to have top-calibur mixers if there is to be a project. That said, if this project does get off the ground and if you can convince me that it will be any good, I'll talk to PriZm and the Prophet about redoing our old mix of "Gathering Stars" for possible inclusion in the project, if you're interested.

He's got a point, though, Arek: this project has been dragging on, despite the fact that the music, which is the main part everybody's gonna want, has been done for ages.

Ok, the first part is meh, and the transition leaves much to be desired, but the second part, where it goes into the SML dungeon theme, is pretty sweet.

That had not even occurred to me. Perhaps I will. ... when I'm feeling less lazy than I am now.

Another thing we could do is have a central location to plan meetups; rather than having threads scattered all over gendisc and unmod, we could have one particular page/forum section/whatever devoted to meetups.

Like I suggested before, some sort of live performers database, or even a general collaborators database, would be great; the live performers thread is alright, but the first post is out of date and one really has to wade through the whole thread to see what's available. A more organized, updated database could be extremely useful. But that would probably take up only a small amount of space. I do think this community would benefit from having a central knowledge base-type place.

Since several people have been asking for it, here's the acoustic part without the vocals (remastered). For the record, though, I think it's much better with Dave's vocals. EDIT: and yes, this is the exact same recording used in the OCR version. It is not, however, the same recording as the version that was on VGmix.

That would be pretty nice to have a place where we don't have to worry about threads being deleted. Could we also use it to host some manner of live performers database?

My Behringer UB502 just died on me, and I need to replace it. I'd like to get something higher quality, and I'm happy to pay whatever I need to for top-quality (though I'd prefer not to spend thousands of dollars on features I won't use) Here's what I need: -2 or more XLR mic inputs with switchable phantom power -stereo line input; I just need one stereo set (though obviously more isn't a problem) As I said, I'm willing to pay whatever price for quality; I'd rather get a sturdy, high-quality mixer that I'll use for years than another behringer I'll just need to replace again. Any reccomendations?
