  1. This is a very well done remix. The usage of the brass, glocken, and 70s waka waka guitar really make this wonderful ear candy. The switch between the minor and major chords into another key signature around 2:25 is another great great winner. I do feel though the mix needs more vocalage. Just saying "The Goddess Gets Groovy Tonight" every once in a while kind of left me waiting for a Jordanius rap verse or something. Must be my occassional ZoneRunner's listening that gives me that vibe. I'd give this one 9/10.
  2. I'm not really into resolutions. Let's just call my "resolutions" a 2015 to attempt list (because resolutions are realistically unattainable): - create my very first cartoon based EDM music video. - learn to play the guitar (see Christmas loot thread). - really kick things off freelancing. - release my first app on Google Play (does anyone with an iTunes Dev license want to help port it to iPhone?) - eat gluten free (except cookies). - eat healthier because I'm getting fat. - go jogging once a week in warmer months. - buy a house. - take my wife dancing even if we have to crash a wedding to do it. - preach an anti-Western-American Christian sermon (I'll explain it in PPR if I need to). - zipline. - ride a motorcycle. - join a band in a side project. - swim across a lake. - actually attend a Comic-Con instead of attempting to do so. After reading the list back, I'm just going to take things one day at a time.
  3. So far, before spending money on gift certificates, here's the what I got: Thanks to my wife having a Super Nintendo, I can challenge myself while taking breaks from graphic design. Or I can teach myself the guitar thanks to my brother in law. Who cares if Keurig was recalled? If one knows how to use it safely, this says it all.
  4. Haha, I'll bet if I say the title of this remix too many times it may manifest something really disgusting physically; I kid. The composition remains quite quirky and definitely gives off the Beetlejuice vibe. I do hear a few sections here and there that remind me of Johnny Depp's Dark Shadows, but honestly when I really think of the whole mix in general, the first thing that comes to mind in the beginning is Kefka, and then near the end, I scratch my head wondering if someone is going to compose music similiar to this for an Addam's Family remake. It's great for an orchestral mix. Lots of fun.
  5. Wow, this is very catchy stuff! I really love the chorus effect on the rhodes along with the synth leads, however for me, the highlight is the bass-line. It just keeps things smooth and really tightens the mix flow outside the glitching!
  6. Also, how prepared would one be to give over 70% of his/her earned funds to rewarding their backers? Just sayin'
  7. Daft Punk - Around the World: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s9MszVE7aR4 The progressive filtered fade-in lets me wake up slowly rather than jerk from a opening bassdrum/crash in other techno songs.
  8. Hangin' out, down the street...er...wait, wrong 70s reference but like echoed previously, there definitely is a 70s vibe along with kind of a 90s ska feel with the brass blending in. Very catchy, very in your face the way it should be. Some good solid rockin' remixing from STFU AA Midee (just sayin).
  9. I'm not usually one to swear in these forums but HOLY F'in SHIZNIT! This looks absolutely amazing! I'll be so pumped to give this a try in December.
  10. Thank you. I was wondering if I can mix your vocal stem with a dubstep piece I'm working on?

  11. Wow. Simply one of the most amazing remixes from Beatdrop. The legion chanting to a hard beat after fading in before the drop is the absolute highlight! 10/10
  12. I've changed my plans considering a lot of complications in college, depression diagnosis, Aspergers and marriage. I too at 31 am still not sure what I'd like to do as a career. All I know is that I want to do something in the field of audio even if it's just transcribing audio books for blind people. Music is now just for fun. I've moved from hip-hop to EDM and LSDJ/Korg DS-10 chiptuning, and I feel better just taking music one day at a time.
  13. It certainly is.
  14. I've been engaged to a taller version of Amy Farrah Fowler since October. Wedding's in July.
  15. Great stuff! This is right up there in my favourite rap mixes alongside Cookin with Fire!
  16. Here ya go! http://soundcloud.com/aarparmusic
  17. What you're looking for is bro-step, my friend. Since it's quite overdone, it's not too hard to find when searching Soundcloud or Beatport. Anyway, reccomendations...I'd say this guy actually comes pretty close: https://soundcloud.com/search?q=SeamlessR
  18. That's very true. His character was probably one of the most unpredictable of the SNES Final Fantasies.
  19. Very nice and pleasant to listen to. You should do an entire DKC album like this and include the Factory Theme that was posted to the front page here.
  20. This is very well done! Lots and lots of random glitching and "tape stops" all in the right places! The bass is very phat and deep. I love it! I'd do a little more work on mastering to bring the harmony tracks out just a tad. I thought the slowed down part at the end is ok but I think they could be worked on a bit. Perhaps throw in an extra track that slowly fades out before the cymbal crash and the...what is that half kick at the end? LoL Good stuff so far!
  21. Thanks for posting this! I've always been a fan of Disco Dan's work!
  22. I may consider coming back. I've made some great stuff while on hiatus. Plus I'm moving to more electro house spoken word while ditching hip-hop altogether.
  23. I've been getting into a lot of synth work with electro house. After listening to this, all I could say is "30th Birthday present?"
  24. I love TechnoBox2. It's got two built in 303 machines and two built in drum machines where you can import your own samples. Only con is that it only lets you use 12 patterns.
