  1. I am tired of live action remakes in general... but cowboy bebop the cowboy bebop universe sort of reminds me of the firefly universe... so it might not be all bad.
  2. One of my all time favourite soundtracks, some songs already sound like the best interpretations I've heard of the source material (including material not yet covered!) Super-boner-excited for this. I didn't see a release date anywhere?
  3. Hey just want to mention that I am working on my track but in addition to picking up extra shifts and being kidnapped for a couple days I came down with the flu... so... yeah... give me another week before I'm further wip-ready plz. Much appreciated, not dead yet.
  4. Umihara Kawase and Sutte Hakkun for the SNES are two of my proudest finds. Sutte Hakkun is a Nintendo original that I guess they figured wouldn't sell here but it's way better than half of the stuff they DID bring over. It'll be a pain in the ass to figure out the menus in Japanese but it's an platforming puzzle game so it's not pivotal to the story or anything. and Umihara Kawase is a really really random platformer with Ninja 5-0, Bionic Commando, Worms ninja rope style physics. Very very very addictive.
  5. I completely agree eh? Keep it like the true north strong and free. Miss you VGDJ.
  6. I always assumed this would be in a consistent state of zombie. Look for my pms.
  7. Well, you're super white... but there's worse things on the internet. I think I'll post a vid sometime soon.
  8. Really? Damn. The second I saw Sam L.'s face I knew it was gonna suck but I was hoping one of the more interesting LOOKING films could have at least held it's own. Looks like Imdb gave a 5.8, RT a 17% with an average rating of 3.7... so I know it's not just you. Can you, or others, be a little bit more specific than 'it sucks' though?
  9. I'm not going to read all 9 pages of this thread let alone written copyright law... but I will put forward a very generic/vague agreement that it's always sort of tragic the way that corporations seem to have the worst aim and timing with their C&D's.
  10. I've noticed a number of ocremixes showing up in ytmnds and some users with the same username as ocr. It seems we run in some similar circles sometimes. http://superbluesbros.ytmnd.com/ http://digdugclassic.ytmnd.com/ http://mmwww.ytmnd.com/ http://smwsleighride.ytmnd.com/ http://obesemanforsale.ytmnd.com/ << AtomicDog http://freshpop.ytmnd.com/ <<< Gecko Yamori I know I've seen more too. Just curious of ocr's opinions and contributions.
  11. I don't know quite what to think... It's not a new trait of the movie-making industry to make horrible and shitty looking over-budgeted, over-excited movies off of good ideas. And also, sorry James Marsters, I guess I hate you now.
  12. Very very fun and solid flash work indeed. I prefer it to mirror's edge in a few ways.
  13. Might try it in a bit. I'm getting tired of winamp's spam and lack of simplicity (all things considered)... and I want to make babies with mozilla.
  14. I really wanted to try and make it out to this this year. Joined the facebook group, got the spam. No $$... or more acurately, I need all that $$ for things that prolong my existence. Have fun, tell me all about it.
  15. Good to see someone missing my child. I thought people had long since died to that method of sharing videos. I hate to say it but I've really been getting into youtube poop and some of the CD-I footage. I'd buy official shirts of the king of hyrule saying 'after you've scrubbed all the floors in hyrule, then we can talk about mercy.' Here are some good ones: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sazc4Bgt-L8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jypZB2IFzkE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zwb52p2aXbk
  16. I actually will. And I never do this... and you know why? As it fucking happens I fucking love Nervous Testpilot too. I nearly played synthlabo in my set last Friday.
  17. TO; stop using djp's account. Also; I heard there's going to be 'commentary the musical'... it will be interesting to see how that doesn't clash with the feature itself.
  18. The Show (One zip file ~200MB) Included in the zip is live performances by a few other musicians. In the end my playlist takes up about 2 hours and 15 minutes of the playtime. Some band equipment set-up/tear-down can occasionally be heard but it doesn't lower the quality of my set much, it's far from original mp3/cd quality anyway. The Playlist: Pre-show: Ulrich Schnauss - Nobody's Home Shael Riley - Music Of My Duck Me & My Katamari - Shabadoobie Jamiroquai - Seven Days In Sunny June Boards Of Canada - Oirectine Domotic - Durchkomponiert Mr. Scruff - Blackpool Roll Minotaur Shock - The Broads Part 1: The Electric Mayhem - Sweet Tooth Jam Tsuneo Imahori - Cynical Pink Nightmares On Wax - Morse Fantastic Plastic Machine - Pura Saudade Audix & Nekofrog - Malevolent Mansion Apparat - Komponent (Telefon Tel Aviv Remix) Cursor Miner - Events Begin To Spiral Out Of Control Pendulum - Through The Loop Skrypnyk - Image 3 Nightmares On Wax - Ethnic Minority Part 2: Rellik - Dreaming On Distant Shores Toronto - Electric Tooth Brush Fantastic Plastic Machine - Adventure Fantastique Ambient & Skrypnyk - Back 2 Skala Bloc Party - Tulips (Minotaur Shock Remix) Part 3: Breakdancing: Mr. Scruff - Vibrate djpretzel - Ghetto Recursive Thievery Corporation - Coming From The Top Pendulum - Fasten Your Seatbelt Quad City DJ's - Space Jam Yves La Rock - Rise Up Blue Satellite - 8 Bit New Order - Bizarre Love Triangle (Step Pettibone Extended Mix) /Breakdancing Mr. Scruff - Get A Move On Mouse On Mars - Send Me Shivers Down Part 4: Less Ashamed Of Self - Hugh Downs The Futuristic Space Android Solvent - Black Turtleneck GameBox - The Fifth Season Part 5: Royksopp - Eple Jillian Goldin - Red July (Malcos Remix) Zircon - Hourglass Chemical Brothers - Star Guitar Nicole Adams (Featuring Starla) - Permutation Telefon Tel Aviv - I Lied Norwegian Recycling - Without The Brothers Bear --- The coolest part of the evening was when two complete strangers came up to me on stage after the show to shake my hand. They said they absolutely loved the set and wanted to know every song on the play list.
  19. Sucks to be you, it was great. I don't have time to post a full review yet or the files because I just woke up... at 2:30... and I need to catch a bus just after 3... But it was a pretty awesome set all things considered. It's definitely not gonna be my last show.
  20. Meh, if they all hate to paint things just tell them to bring a DS. It is a college after all, you will be in youthful gamer company. Also, I did a trial recording with the sound recorder... it picks up the line out from my lappy pretty well. So short of my new recorder going missing, or the mixing board (being rented today) not having a 1/4 inch out, I will have media for you all. My roommate should be taking video, and there's always around 100 pictures floating around facebook. Oh, and I'll be wearing my black OCR shirt.
  21. Well it looks like the mp3 player world is straying from line-in ports. FUCK that. Anyway, I snagged a neat little voice recorder... it was the only portable electronic device in two stores WITH a line-in. At it's highest quality, it can record stereo at 128kbps for 8 hours... so that should do the trick. Global-Trance; I got your mashups; I sent you a pm about them. Skrypnyk, your friends? Are you bringing more than yourself? Please say yes...
  22. Hey guys, coming up this Friday. Rayza? Skrypnyk? Was that a maybe? A yes? I can find you room to crash if you need it. Anyone else have exclusive WIPs that might do well in a set like this? I can still feature a track or two (maybe) if they really want and it's not total shit. In other news, I was worried I wasn't going to get any media since borrowing a second laptop was proving to be a bad idea. But I'm buying a new MP3 player expressly for capturing the concert... so unless things explode or something... it's pretty much definite.
