Hey guys; I'm playing another show just like the one 3 months ago at Sheridan this Friday the 27th. The venue will be another artist fest/paint-a-thon with beer, hot models and strange objects to paint. Live bands and breakdancing. I'll be the house DJ and VGM will be featured. If anyone has exclusive content they'd like to include, I'd be glad to play it. Also if anyone has some recommendations of OCRs or remixes off this site I'll be glad. I'm looking for things specifically which have a solid beat, lyrics, instrumental hiphop or dance, maybe some things a little more abstract or IDMish. Nerd reference highly welcomed, last time everybody caught every one. I'm not going to be recording this set since my recorder will be otherwise occupied this time around... which I may go into later depending on how it goes. If you're in the area, please come out and support us in numbers... they are steadily decreasing and it'd be nice to get a big crowd. Thanks everyone.

Wow. I'm having a heck of a time researching footage of all of these games. I'm pretty down with classic platformers and misc shareware action games like commander keen, cosmo, prince of persia, etc... but what I'm REALLY into researching at the moment is those point/click adventure titles... and the dig is one that I'm rather shocked didn't blip on my radar at all back when. I remember the box art but nothing else. Youtube has 33x10 minute videos of a full playthrough... and considering I'm lucky to play through half of the video games I should these days I think I'll be glad to watch this one for it's cinematics. Hey all, I've recently tweaked out my laptop to be able to run retro dos pc games and I was just wondering if y'all could opinionate me on which ones were worth a darn. Primarily I'm thinking of Lucasarts/Adventure games but I'm open to any of the more important classics I may have missed. I've played Monkey Island, Monkey Island 2, Loom, and I'm working on Day of the Tentacle right now. All, imo, very worth the time. Any others? Danke.

I express similar sentiments. I think about how much I love this place on a pretty regular basis... and thankfully none of the dramarama or politics I hear about or see doesn't have much of an effect on that. This place is STILL a great bunch of guys doing a GREAT service for the listening public. Pride +1
