Silent Mike
I'd like to congratulate Silent Mike for having the best damn Ganondorf ever. Thanks, but the few times I've played G-T's ganondorf ended up with me being stomped in the face right through the ground in skyworld. It was awesome. Good matches btw tables. Zombie
I gotta say, Spear Pillar is hands down the worst stage in brawl.

Unstable Hamster
Finally got a friend code. 4940-5215-2153 I'll probably be only able to play tonight and tomorrow morning. I've got no wi-fi down at my place, but I will be able to play all of next week w/ spring break.
Zombie
I see your Spear Pillar and raise you a New Pork City. Something about Palkia and Dialga summoning giant beams to kill me, inverting the map, and slowing time does not amuse me, and really pisses me off at times. Both the worst of brawls stages though, imo.
The Derrit
Between spring break practices and smash i haven't posted on here in forever... i'd love to find a partner to smash with, i've been working on making ivysaur useful to some success, but generally my best is metaknight. loving this game so much. Arek the Absolute
After learning so much about mother 3, I can't look at new pork city the same again. Good god, mother 3....just....good god. So tragic.

Jaybell
I see your Spear Pillar and raise you a New Pork City. You know what? New Pork City's layout is alright; I have no problem with it being giant. The problem is that, when it gets too big, it's impossible to tell WHERE the platforms are because they blend in with the background. On a big giant super tv, you might be able to figure it out (the platforms have flashing lights on them, I noticed). And when we were close together and not spread out across the screen, it was good times. But then one jerk runs off and it ruins it. Other than that, I haven't played a whole lot of other stages (just played it at a friends house), but I haven't hated any of them yet. Warioware is hella fun (but the "rewards" are really random and kind of unfair). I haven't played Spear Pillar yet either (he hasn't unlocked it yet). And Rumble Falls, though I didn't play it, compared to Icicle Mountain, doesn't look that bad. At least they warn you when it's speeding up. Still looks annoying, though. Also, Olimar has terrible recovery.
atmuh
Also, Olimar has terrible recovery. worst in game
cobaltstarfire
Also, Olimar has terrible recovery. Fighting Olimar makes me cry. The spear pillar is definitely a bit harrowing, I don't think I've gotten to play on new pork city. What really stinks is the DK level with the water fall, it's WORSE than the old ice climbers level IMO. The new ice climbers level seems really disorienting (to me anyway...) Zombie
I like the new Ice Climbers level. New Pork City has potential, but it is just so zoomed out from your character that it sort of makes it harder to play. If I want a big stage, I'll just go to the Temple stage from melee, which I am glad they brought back btw. I miss Termina Bay, though. I kinda hope that Nintendo releases another set of stages in the future through WiiWare or something. I'd love to see a few more really good stages, like the new star fox stage which I am in LOVE with.

Everytime it pops up i always read it as "new porn city" and that makes me lulz. I messed around with the level editor today and it made me appreciate the 3 premade ones that much more. my levels were pretty crap except for the awesome Sonic Adventure opening. We could just recreate New Pork City in the Stage Creator and we wouldn't have to contend with NOT KNOWING WHERE THE DANG PLATFORMS ARE, because the background wouldn't be in the way. I just thought of this and got all excited but someone else has probably already done it.
friendlyHunter
Anyone seen any good "stage of the day" stages from Nintendo yet? I've played two of those stages, and they both sucked more than the worst of those sample stages (which is about as bad as you can get). It's harder than it looks to build good stages, but I've played a few gems that are just fantastic. New Pork City I have no problem with... though I'll admit I've only played it for 1 on 1 matches, on a decent sized (standard definition) TV. Aside from the distracting background, it's really no "worse" than the Zelda II Temple. I've played Spear Pillar once and watched someone else play it once, and I'm fairly convinced it's the worst stage in the game. The DK stage... why do you fall slower when it moves up fast, making it impossible to land so you can't go up fast enough with some characters? And WHY does it even move up fast in the first place???? Other than that it's not terrible....... can you play Donkey Kong Country remixes in the DK Arcade level??? I just thought of this and got all excited but someone else has probably already done it. I was excited about making a stage shaped like a Super Mario Bros. Mario sprite, but nope, already been made: http://supersmashbros.ign.com/stages/411/8-bit-Mario ....I must get this stage!!
L.T.W.
Played Rody a while ago along with a couple of others, man I'm surprised I reached 2nd place that time considering what happened lol. How do I reach clanocr via mirc? Yeah, that was me. I had lotsa fun in that match. And it was totally lag free.
Tables
The main thing I hate about the DK stage is the instakill spikes, where you have no possible chance of recovering from if you receive even a glancing blow from them. Spear Pillar isn't too bad unless you have the Pokeman that shoots those disc things. New Pork City definitely is annoying, though, I agree. Oh, and Flat Zone 2: Why didn't they learn their lesson? No one liked the falling tools, now we have falling food? Great job you guys. Not to mention the random damaging car people and the lion tamers, the whole place is a big annoying funless deathtrap. At least the musics good.
Paratha
Added my name to the OCR Database. I main Link, and am hoping for some good, lag-free matches. The ones I've played so far have been pretty laggy.
cobaltstarfire
the whole place is a big annoying funless deathtrap. I dunno, it's kind of fun to watch your opponent get bounced all over the place between the lion tamers....
